Umm... That bandi disturbing Deewane Khas , looked like Jalal's mole in Harem? Some kinda intelligence agent?

I would come back with some of my own feelings again. BTW, whats with your eye infection. It has stretched too long. 😕

Shyamala ji , quite often I agree to most of your points but this time although you make quite a few valid points I still don't want to come out of the la la land 😆 and want to ignore all the above.

it was interesting to see the other side of the coin too. 😊

My thoughts

- Jalal leaving the DEK wasn't for JO but it was because an important Mughal rule was broken, praying to your god is OK but having an idol/ small shrine/ puja sthal wasn't. He can make amends to the law true , but till then they don't break the existing one.

- yes he has become overly cautious after the Dhaka ,zeher issues he has put her on the pedestal ,doesn't want to do anything wrong to push their relation what ever they call it back to square one.

- His anger towards Rukaiya was more from the point that one even when he confronts her in private. She doesn't accept . Althoughit by now she has an idea he knows who is behind the murti kaand, and more so because she choose to break the Mughal law and play with the emotions of the bandhis and begums only to win the BEK status, he had expected her to WIN using fair means. ( he said so😕, not sure who he is supporting)

- Begum in green being bullied - he simply wasn't used to being interrupted when he is speaking. Notice most ppl speak only after he asks them to or after he is done speaking . he had earlier done the same with Adham in DEK too .

- dont think much of spy network was required in this case as he just back traced where so many murthis can be procured overnight. So the spy network still isn't working.

A different perspective of yesterday's fantastic episode.😛 Liked your perception, but I am more in agreement with Lashy's POV.

I will elaborate only on Ruq-Jallu heated private discussion. Regarding Ruq getting insulted - Jallu had warned her of playing a fair game beforehand. She is not naive but a smart, shrewd, politically ambitious girl who knows what Shahenshah meant when he told her about fair competition. Ignoring his caution/offending him definitely means inciting his wrath, which she so much fears. If she still chose to overlook it, then that implies she had invited the trouble. Hence, Jalal's anger towards her in private (no public insults - he spared her that despite the proof) was very much justifiable. When Ruq claims to only love her Shahenshah/her best friend then he rightly deserves to know the truth (specially when she had always admitted the truth to him). Her hand in the murthi kaand plus not admitting to the blunder incited the anger in him. I repeat, she invited it and she got it back.😊

Aunty regarding jallu take on ruks yday is totally justifying for me...as u told that ppl never want a bestfrn like jallu in life im actually trying to put myself in jallus place and i dnt want a bestfrn like rukiaah either...I have never seen her dosti at all she is just well wishes of jallu...she may be saying lots of times using bachpan ka dosti word but her words never justify her actions...Does nt she have that much sense also that someone has to drill that to her?As evryone says she is childish(its totally illmannered) wat kind of kid is she as she herself is in postion to give birth to kids...

why shud jallu even try to make her sit and put her sense just bcz she is her frn...did she ever try to sit and talk to him during the times when he needed closeone to share?? as a frn did she try to console jallu during BK death??as a frn is it good to hide adham khan vulgar nature in moti issue and make her killed?as a frn she dint even trust him wen jallu said nothing happend in storm night,she doubted his frnship and thoght she got betrayed...as a frn did she try to share his pain during bakshi matter in fake preg track??after dhakka incident instead of making him forget his pain as a frn how can she rub on his wounds by repeating dhakka word to him again and again ??as a frn how can she even neglect jallus life matter during ben track?as a frn why cant she stop his best frn rude nature in whole ben track??as a best frn did she ever talk to him wen he felt lonely or atleast did she ever try to guess that her best frn is feelin lonely n discuss anythng with him whether he is happy or not??as a frn is it good to drag religious matter and violate mughal rule(she knows jallu loves n respects all religions and it will hurt him by playing with this sensitive feelings of jallu) ??

There were mistakes like these frm ruks dosti how can she or we ppl expect jallu shud sit and talk to her...??atleast now after watching yday episode she shud feel happy that jallu dint reveal this matter infront of evryone as he stil has respect for her.he doesnt want her to let down infront of others...ruks adds that dosti word but she always behaves like BEK and treats him like shehenshah and she wants him to treat her lik BEK...one more thing is even if jallu tries to talk to her and sit beside her to discuss there wont b much change in her i guess...

Aunty this is just my pov regarding her frnshp with him and dint include her behaviour with others(jallu unwares abt these) as we all know abt slapping kicking of bandhies and insulting ,badmouthwording to jo and salima which she thinks are honourable duties of BEK...

I am delighted to see your discordant note in the sea of celebrations that this forum was engulfed in. It shows that in the forum we don't all think alike and that adds zest and flavor.

Regarding 3 issues I disagree with your view.
1. The Bandhi issue- The real Akbar was known as very approachable. Abul Fazl has written in the Ain-i-Akbari, that Akbar had the one trait that makes a ruler truly great, he would meet people from whatever rank or whatever religion with the same eye of favor.

Maybe the bandhi could have approached him in a more formal manner, but that would have negated the very idea of approachability. If you have news of importance, you must be able to get an audience with the Emperor. And if you have an ear to the ground he may even ask your opinion. Your lowly rank will not matter then.

Normally the Emperor will follow all proprieties and except others to do the same but in special cases, all that will go out of the window. He will do what he wants.

2. Outburst at the Behum- I cannot imagine any situation where someone interrupts the Emperor. I saw the disrespect that Tansen showed to the Emperor and I was appalled. So I applauded his outburst as it interrupted his chain of thought.

3. Regarding the Krishna prayer- I would excuse his somewhat awkward actions as that of a person who was new to it. He was feeling self conscious.

As he ages and his reverence for all religions grows, then that awkwardness will go away and he will fully embrace all religions. Then he won't care what the clergy or anyone thinks .

Even I don't liked the bandi coming in DEK and informing about Harem news...

I liked Jalaal talking seperately with Jo & Ruqu... He knows JO is innocent that's what reflected in her words looking straight into Jalaal & tells she will not do such thing...

While Ruqu being culprit, didn't look into Jalaal eyes straightly, and even didn't accept that she is culprit which hurt Jalaal most, as she now violated Mughal rule only to bring down Jodha...He didn't talked to her calmly as he expected Ruqu will fight fairly with JO in the election as she managed the haram for long time, intelligent, a good player, but she stooping low has hurt him...

But surely i would like Jalaal talk to Ruqu and tell her now JO also become Khaas to him and try to accept JO...

👏 Again... I had to come out from my silent lurking after reading this.. The forum was full of positive reviews... But I couldn't come to terms with how jalal egged on ruks last week... And reading what you post above... It was exactly what I was and am feeling!!! So we share more then just the wicked sense of humor.. Lol... Read your eyes are giving you problem.. Hope you have a good rest and I love reading your posts.. They seems to somehow speak what I feel most of the time... thanks for PM-ing me... As a newbie,,, I have certain limitation like unable to send PM etc.. So couldn't send my well wishes for your speedy recovery.. Take care..

Oh yeah...that Krishna prayer bit (though I've heard Akbar bowed to Hindu Gods too) that scene looked a bit forced to me there..😆

as for Jodha's recoiling of the hand, I can't placate myself because after all they've been through and knowing how bad he feels about the 'dhakka' incident.. if anything she should instill faith in him that she is there with him.. so, I feel while she needn't proceed to send him a message saying

'Yes..in my chamber..tonight...!' she needn't recoil her hand either...

Also they've been together for nearly a year now and through so much... after the amount of times she blushed thinking about him...after shes said she knows whats in his mind...knows she's fallen for him etc etc...that bit didn't make sense...😕

At the end of it, something has to work in favour of Ruqaiyya here - because Ruqaiyya Sultan Begum was the woman who ruled the harem in the end..🤔

Hi shyamala ji. I usually end up agreeing with ur opinions even if I usually start with a different opinion but this time barring a few instances I do differ in opinion. I agree the bandi coming and the way she spoke in DEK was absurd and also Jalal praying to kanha did seem showy besides that i loved every bit of yesterday. I liked the fact that Jalal talked to jodha and asked her straight away if she had done it despite knowing the truth and he did the sme with ruqqaiya even when he knew she had ordered the murtis. He ave her a last chance to own up n be truthful to him as a friend at least. He did shut down the other begum but that too for talking in middle while he was still speaking, something no one is allowed to do specially in a formal meeting. He didn't shut er down when she spoke earlier. As for ruqqaiya imagine how he must be feeling at the moment when he knew that ruqqaiya was the culprit and she was still standing there and naming jodha for it. Even then he held on to his temper and told everyone specifically that he knows and wants the culprit to confess to him and she still refuses to give up trying to egg him on by once again bringing Mughal shaan in middle when she herself has struck on it for her own benefit. He still respected their friendship n didn't accuse her in front of everyone, isn't that what a friend does? Being a friend doesn't mean u can't get mad at ur friend for doing something so petty. He has always forgiven ruqqaiya coz she was always honest o him at least but not this time.

As for his take on religious issues in the garden, I believe he was telling jodha that he does believe in respecting all religions but at the same time rules need time to change and cannot be broken for ur own benefit. He knows the fact that breaking the rule to win an election is different then breaking it to allow someone else their religious freedom. He did forgive her or meeting shareefudin in prison coz he said that it is ur intentions that mattered to me.

As for him behaving like a lovesick teenager, well doesn't love make us all behave like one? He did once hold her forcefully n look where it got him. He is in love and when one is in love one will show endless amount of patience if it means finally getting the one u love.

Phew! That was a long speech, looks like jodha's this hunar is rubbing off on me.
