As far as wht i have collected. And from lizzy and kamal di.

It was hamida bano being akbar's mom.
Then salima begum and muz. They were the seniormost ladies in harem. Esp. Salima begum.
Other wives were zan-i-kalan.

During nur jahan also, it ws muz for the FINAL DECISION...coz salima begum passed away in 1611-12.

I dont know about serial but this is what we hv inferred.
