Sorry I made a misprint in my post. It should read "Man Singh had between 200 to 300 children"

Abul Fazl DID Not say that these are concubines.
Though he puts the number at 5000, but that is again not in a literal sense, and he does NOT say these are concubines. Also, seeing the size of the Imperial Harem complex, this number isvastly exaggerated by Abul Fazl, just for showing the "might/praise" of His Majesty. πŸ˜†

Even if it was exaggeration, the CVs can point to the 5000 right? The CV s take a point and stretch it to its extreme!

I also agree its extreme.

No Divya..😊
It was NOT confusing. don't say sorry. πŸ˜•

I was just saying that OK, he mentions 5K women, but, the point is, in the show, Jalal used this clause before Jodha as if ALL 5K women were his wives or kaneez.πŸ˜•

But CV's ne sabhi ko >>πŸ˜•<<..

[πŸ˜‰QUOTE=divyavm]
I found today's episode to be beautiful- that is all I can say. 😳

So, let me go directly to the top 5 of the day- there was so πŸ˜†much to choose from. 😊

The boat ride was simply amazing. Thankfully, Ruqs did not interrupt the boat ride nor waited for them in the banks- we got at least some peace before the Ruqs bomb hit. I am going to split the boat ride into two distinct parts that I liked:

I was a bit disappointed with the boat ride as it was short and was expecting more from it.
Furthermore, if you look carefully you will notice that Rajat and Paridhis scenes were shot separately, they werent shoting on the set together. There wasnt any scene taken together, mostly from far using their body doubles. Thats why I felt something was missing.

I hear your point. I focused on the dialogues and the last Akdha scene made it up for me 😊

(1) The level of understanding and sync between Jodha and Jalal; of specific mention:
- The mutual hesitation and awkwardness to start the conversation
- How they both asked simultaneously on why the other was not saying anything- they are so in sync
- Jalal's knowing look when he said that filhaal tho the sword loves me the most; he must know all to well that soon it will be Jodha πŸ˜‰
- Jodha's pain / emotional bonding when he heard of his hard life more amidst enemies - she almost had to shake herself out or it

(2) Maturity of how Jalal-Jodha discussed the MU of who invited who: Compared to all the times they have misunderstood each other, I love how they actually had a conversation to resolve the MU on who invited who. I thought it was illegal for two serial leads to have a logical conversation! πŸ˜†

It was nice to see them solving the misunderstanding in a matured way. They are beginning to understand each other.

Yes, it was great progress

Initially, Jalal tried to dismiss it as usual confusions of women and remembered that Night (though there was no pain now when referring to it 😊) ... But I am glad that Jodha persisted in saying she did not invite him. Jalal finally understood she was telling the truth and guesses somebody did this to get them to be together (love Jodha's blush here)... I am glad they had this conversation now so Jalal was well-equipped to defend Jodha when Ruqs came barging in

(3) How Jalal handled Ruqs; there were a few components that made me stand up and clap:
- Jalal was upset to see Ruqs drag Jodha into the room
- Jalal was very calm in dealing with Ruqs and did not distrust Jodha for a moment
- He did not let Ruqs raise her voice against Shahbuddhin
- Clearly told her it was not a galti but a galat faimi
- But, last but not the least, she told her off for being to high-handed to come to invite him and instead sent the invite as a Begum-e-khaas πŸ‘

Finally, Jalal is not just giving the "lollipop treatment" as Tamy called it.

Yes, I like the way Jalal handled Ruqu. He knows her well since childhood and solved it without being seen as favouring Jodha. He also explained nicely to Jodha without making her feel less important.

He is learning to balance the two- it is a new experience for him πŸ˜‰

Okay one regret- why couldn't Shahbuddin add to his case that even MA thought it was Jodha Begum. Ah well. Compared to the rest of the courtiers, he seemed quite sharp and made a clear tight case on why he assumed it was Jodha Begum. About time Jalal had some adept people in the court. πŸ˜†

Phew, with that one regret behind me, let me go to the best part of the episode- the Akdha scene. Loved how Jalal held back Jodha seeing her hurt to clarify his perspective, and the following two components made it to the top 5:

(4) Jodha said that if she was interrupted in her time with the Shehenshah she would not be worried about her audha but that her prem was disrespected. Wow, what an indirect and beautiful way for her to admit her prem to him. It was beautifully done.😳

Finally, Jodha indirectly admitted her love to Jalal.
πŸ‘ πŸ‘ πŸ‘

I am so thrilled as well!

I think it also hinted at why she was afraid to admit her love- she is afraid it would be split among so many ranis and she would not be able to handle it.

(5) Special recognition for the smile on Jalal's face in the end: how can you not fall in love with that smile πŸ˜ƒ... He had heard what he had never heard from any life that their prem would be hurt if he was with others... And Jodha looking back at him afraid of what she had just confessed. Rajat, your smile rocks!

Jalal was is in the 7th cloud. He couldnt stop himself smiling. I think he will get a bigger chest pain
. πŸ˜‰ I have a feeling he will soon admit to Ruqu that he is in-love with Jodha

Oh I am still recovering from his smile! Not sure if he will tell Ruqs anymore.

So, what a beautiful ending on Jalal's smiling face of an episode where we were expecting a MU again. Hence, we should not worry about a MU till it actually happens- we have been trained to assume the worst πŸ˜†

Honorable mention: dignity of Jodha when Ruqs accused her- especially asking her to let go of her hand and she can walk on her own. πŸ‘

So, from the precap, it looks like Jodha will get another halo of helping a someone unite with their love and go against Ruqs leading to our maha-episode battle between the two begums. I am not sure if this also has to do with the Tata sky spoiler of atrocities to slaves.

My guess on the ME: Jodha will win the BEK crown but give it to Ruqs saying she wants to be a patni not a BEK. Then, what will our dear Ruqs do? She probably will say in her usual delusional way, even Jodha Begum knew she could not handle it or she didn't realize the value of being a BEK. πŸ˜†

Jodha doesnt want any Audha but just Jalals PREM. 😊 Awww, it is beautiful.

So, what did you love about today's episode? Or should I say, what could you have possibly not loved? πŸ˜‰

sorry...😊
I, Donjas and Maddy were talking of "actual" history here.
And, in the process expected the same LOGICπŸ˜‰ from CV's also.
Which was nullified today.!.πŸ˜•

Also, this Agra Fort and its harem has long history.πŸ˜•
It expanded later, a lot, under Shah Jahan.🀒
(can't write more here. Or Divya will be after me with her stick.. πŸ˜† )

But, the point was, in the show CV's should not have used that 5000 clause to in "THAT" manner to show as if all were his wives or kaneez. πŸ˜•
Don't you feel so.?.

I even find their menage creepy and you are asking about 5k!
Somebody said even Jo grimaced at that

Blooper from writer this

I guess Jalal wanted to convey HE chooses who he spends time with, it was probably a back hand compliment from him to say HE choses to spend so much time with Jo
Well what can one say about 16rh century menπŸ˜•

As you have mentioned, i just loved todays episode and thats all i too can say :)
So, let me go directly to the top 5 of the day- there was so much to choose from. 😊

The boat ride was simply amazing. Thankfully, Ruqs did not interrupt the boat ride nor waited for them in the banks- we got at least some peace before the Ruqs bomb hit. I am going to split the boat ride into two distinct parts that I liked:
The conversation in Boat was good. not just nok-jok and tana or why did you save me. But something new.
- Jodha's pain / emotional bonding when he heard of his hard life more amidst enemies - she almost had to shake herself out or it
Both are understanding each other now. They know about each other so much that any MU now will be difficult. It needs to be a solid reason and base for any MU. SD,MA,Ruq and others needs to work hard , very hard for any MU.
Both of them have similar characterstics. Both are ziddi's, emotional (though Jalal says he doesnt have heart, he is emotional and we have seen it in many instances), both have hunars, and both get angry very easily but at the same time doesnt carry it for long.

(2) Maturity of how Jalal-Jodha discussed the MU of who invited who: Compared to all the times they have misunderstood each other, I love how they actually had a conversation to resolve the MU on who invited who. I thought it was illegal for two serial leads to have a logical conversation! πŸ˜†
It was cute of Jalal to think there are many to want them together.
- But, last but not the least, she told her off for being to high-handed to come to invite him and instead sent the invite as a Begum-e-khaas πŸ‘
agreed on above. I too felt he was clever here and handled well. He wasnt biased though a few feel he should have shown concern to Ruq. I guess Jalal wanted Ruq to know that Jodha and Salima too are Kaas begum. I liked when he said if you wanted to meet me then why didnt you come straight to me instead of sending a message through Bandi and that too with word kaas. He has passed the message to her that she needs to adjust and i think he did it right. Because she needs to get used to this now, as Jodha will also be treated the way she has been treated all these years. And jalal is at no fault here.
Finally, Jalal is not just giving the "lollipop treatment" as Tamy called it.

Okay one regret- why couldn't Shahbuddin add to his case that even MA thought it was Jodha Begum. Ah well. Compared to the rest of the courtiers, he seemed quite sharp and made a clear tight case on why he assumed it was Jodha Begum. About time Jalal had some adept people in the court. πŸ˜†
Dont worry divya, Maham ka boom putega. but i guess by then Jalal-Jodha relation should be strong enough so that Jo can handle Jalal.
Phew, with that one regret behind me, let me go to the best part of the episode- the Akdha scene. Loved how Jalal held back Jodha seeing her hurt to clarify his perspective, and the following two components made it to the top 5:

Oh god, If i close my eyes i can see Jalal's smile. How cute was that and Jo was also looking very pretty. Her acting has improved a lot. And yes, she admitted that she is in love. I loved when she turned back and Jallu still smiling. Am sure he will think about it and smile for whole week.

Of course Rajat rocks always. How can anyone not like his smile.
So, what a beautiful ending on Jalal's smiling face of an episode where we were expecting a MU again. Hence, we should not worry about a MU till it actually happens- we have been trained to assume the worst πŸ˜†

Honorable mention: dignity of Jodha when Ruqs accused her- especially asking her to let go of her hand and she can walk on her own. πŸ‘
Thanks for mentioning this. I loved the way Jodha behaved. I alos liked it when she gave back instead of just listening. After all she is Rajvanshi. How can she take aroop. I also liked when she said, leave my hand i can walk. good Jodha, carry on.
So, from the precap, it looks like Jodha will get another halo of helping a someone unite with their love and go against Ruqs leading to our maha-episode battle between the two begums. I am not sure if this also has to do with the Tata sky spoiler of atrocities to slaves.

So, what did you love about today's episode? Or should I say, what could you have possibly not loved? πŸ˜‰
