@history_geek
I applaud your efforts in digging out facts from Mughal History and sharing them with us. 👏😃
One query- Were Hamida Begum and Jiji Anga in Jodha's support as shown in the show? Or were they against her as she was a Hindu?😕

Awaiting your reply.

Yes..It was a custom/practice to give Nazranas/gifts during that time, to higher authorities, by the subordinates.

The spoils of the wars were distributed among the royal ladies.

**********************************

BUT, at that time, it was ONLY MUZ, as per records, who was known to receive a jewel from every nobleman "according to his estate" EACH year on the occasion of New Year's festival.

Abhay, quosten to you.

Is there any known / recorded incident of a major drift (may be temporary) between Akbar and MUZ the way it is shown in the serial? Also any info about this Shehnaz character?

Sam

Minor Update : Pir Muhammed's Death + Akbarnama Painting

The account mentions that Pir Muhammed was on his horse, and was fleeing. It chanced that a string of mules was then crossing by him rapidly. (Badayuni's accounts say, it was Camel.)

They came near the horse and kicked it on the side.😉 Pir Muammad's horse, as well as his sense, departed from their place. He fell from his horse into the river's water, and his comrades who were close by, did not in their wickedness exert themselves to draw him out of that whirlpool of destruction.😳 "He WAS drowned" and went to the ocean of annihilation, either as a retribution for the oppression which he had committed in this expedition, or for his conduct in the battle, or for some other deed known to the knower of secrets.(means the Shahenshah or Almighty .?.😕.)
By heaven's decree so loyal, able, and gallant a man underwent such a fate.

VERSE
Where destiny is powerful - The stronger is all the weaker.
When the day of darkness shows its face - Two world-seeing eyes make a gloom.

Abu'l Fazl calls him a gallant man🤢 (and as usual i could not understand the meaning of many lines which Abu'l Fazl wrote😉), but in other accounts he is called an incompetent administrator. Baz Bahadur again captures Malwa, after being defeated, later.

I did not find Adham's name written with his death. Will search more, and update, if get something.

ALSO, Pir Muhammed died in 1562 only around same time as Adham Khan's death ( though i could not get the exact date).
This is as per Abu'l Fazl.

So, Adham's end is near, NOW. 😃

*********************************************************************************************************

In the centre, some people can be seen fording the river. Also shown are the variety of animals (horses, camels, goats, crocodiles, birds, fish and a monkey).

You can see people standing on the sides, BUT NOT helping those in the river .!.

So PM actually drowned in River. And Sujamal to went in Harem. I m surprised. EK has actually done a lot of research. She is following history accurately. 😊

Thanks for the info Abhay.😛 So the suspense of Pir Mohammad's death is intact except for its cause -- drowning. No relation of his death with Adham (till now) --- the secret is only known to the Almighty or the 'knower of the secret' it seems
Pir Mohammad was an incompetent administrator --- Our JA's Pir Mohammad looks like that😆 Other one says Pir Mohammad was gallant --- Our JA Pir Mohammad didn't look like one😆 Maybe Ekta modelled her PM on the former...😆

Btw I think by "knower of secrets " they meant Almighty not Shahenshah.
