(It was late night...and Jodha was sleeping peacefully with a pleasant smile on her face ...suddenly she moved her eyes and turned to the other side of the bed...stretched her arm to embrace Jalal...but as her hand landed down on the bed...she found it empty...she opened her eyes slowly...and found that Jalal was not there...she got a bit worried...she got up and sat on the bed immediately and looked around to find about his whereabouts...but her worry came to an end as she found him standing near the window gazing outside...he was in his pants only...Jodha took a sigh of relief...but at the same time...her eyes drooled over his broad shoulders and manly bare back...which was facing her...she lowered her eyes and smiled blushingly...feeling so proud on her luck...that she has got such a hot and handsome husband...she was still in undressed state...so she got up from the bed...wrapping up the white bed sheet around her body...to cover it up...she slowly walked towards him and reached to his side...Jalal was all lost in his deep thoughts when he suddenly felt a soft touch on his shoulder and to add in his pleasure...he realized a soft pair of hands embracing his belly...he smiled slightly...as Jodha pressed her lips against his shoulder...he raised his hand thus embracing her head...without looking back...placed a soft kiss on her hairs...Jodha remained like that for some time...as his proximity always worked like a anesthesia for her...she rested her head on his shoulder...still hugging him...asked in a loving tone..."aap soye nahi...?? Hume wahan akela chorker aap yaha kya kar rahe hai...kya aaj chand aapko humse adhik priy lagne laga hai...jo humare itne kareeb hone per bhi aap use hi nihare jaa rahe hai..."...Jalal asked teasingly..."kyu??...aaj chand se bhi rushk*jealousy* ho chala hai kya humari baaghin ko...")

Jodha: - (in a childish voice) jo bhi humse aapki nazren churane ki koshish karega...use humari jalan ka shikar to banana hi padega na...waise aapne humare prashan ka utaar nahi diya...aap yaha kya kar rahe hai...??

Jalal: -(replied in a heavy voice) kuch nahi Jodha...bus yu hi...neend nahi aa rahi thi hume... bus isiliye... (But he didn't complete his sentence and became silent as he dint want to lie to her...his tone made jodha little worried...)

Jodha: -(in a concerned voice) kya baat hai shenshah??...aap kuch pareshaan lag rahe hai...(he dint respond and continued gazing outside...she became even more worried and added with a sad voice)...kya aap abhi bhi us baat ko lekar humse naraaz hai...??

Jalal: -(putting his hands over her hands) nahi pagli...kitni baar kahen aapse...na hume pehle aapse koi shiqva tha aur na hi ab hai...hum to bus yu hi... (And he again stopped not able to say further...as his throat had become really heavy...)

Jodha:-(she sensed that something is not right...and he is trying to hide something...she can feel the sorrow in his voice...she immediately turned him towards her by holding his shoulders and cupped his face in her little hands...and asked in a really worried voice)...aap kyu dara rahe hai hume shenshah??...batayiye na kya baat hai...esi kaun si baat hai jo aapko itna pareshan kar rahi hai...hume nahi batayege aap??

(Jalal looked in her eyes...and in no time his eyes got flooded with enormous tears seeing the genuine concern her eyes had for him...he cupped her face in his hands and smiled faintly...)

Jalal: - aap janti hai Jodha...aapki ye do masum si aankhen kitni khatarnaak hai...jab bhi inme dekhte hai...hum khud ko rok nahi paate...

Jodha: -(in a stern voice) baat ghumane ka prayaas mat kijiye shenshah...aur batayiye ke aap kya soch rahe the...

Jalal: - (in a low yet firm voice) aapse ek baat puche...lekin humse wada kijiye ke aap uska sach sach jawab degi hume...

Jodha: -(caressing his cheek) ji shenshah...puchiye...

Jalal:- (in a teary voice) Jodha...have you ever seen me being partial with anyone...I always tried my level best to satisfy everyone...be it my people...my relatives...my wives or anyone...I never ever forced my opinions or orders on anyone...I never forced any women to sleep with me...I never did any partiality while judging my commander's capability...I tried to give everyone what they deserved...as per their capabilities...have you ever seen me being dishonest with my people...??...tell me Jodha...??

Jodha:- (said in an assuring tone) no shenshah...so far as it is concerned with your capabilities to run this empire...you have successfully done that...yes you have been acted like a heartless king...but yet you never compromised with your values...you always kept your words...be it to me or anyone else...I won't talk about our relationship...as it was built upon hatred itself...so whatever you did with me was because of your hurt ego...and I replied your gestures in the same way...but whenever I needed you...you was there for me...even in the worst time of our relationship...and no one is perfect shenshah...everyone has some plus points and minus points...and so as you...plz dun get this much panicked...everything will be fine soon...

Jalal: -(with tears flooding his eyes) no jodha...you are saying it because you love me...dun give diplomatic answers Jodha...show me the mirror...I want to know myself...I want to know...Who I am??...What I am??...Why my own people keep on betraying me...??...I can tolerate anything in my life apart from betrayal...what is my fault...??..

Jodha: -(with a stern voice) Ok if you insist shenshah...then I will only say...that there are only two reasons why you are disappointed...wrong people or wrong expectations...your weakness is that you trust some people blindly...even if they are at fault sometime...you don't even want to comprehend when it comes to your trusted people...if you will expect more than it should be from people...you have to face disappointments...people doesn't think the same way as we supposed them to...people does change shenshah...and that is a reality...and you have to accept it...

(Jodha so much wanted to tell him about Maham's betrayal but she couldn't...as she dint find it the right time to tell him about that...as he was already hell devastated...and she dint even had any solid proof against her...On the other hand...Jodha's words caused Jalal to break down completely as reality stuck his soul...and he broke into terrible sobs...)

Jalal:-(crying bitterly) to hum kya kare Jodha...kya apno se ummid rakhna galat hai...koi gair kuch bhi kare humare khilaaf...hume koi fark nahi padta...magar jab humare apne hi humare khilaaf khade ho jaate hai to bahut dard hota hai...yehi wajah hai ke humne khud ko sangdil bana liya tha...socha tha ke jab dil hi nahi hoga to chot bhi nahi lagegi...pehle humare sage chacha ne takhat ke liye humara katal karna chaha...phir adham...humara dhoodh bhai...aur ab Ruqqaiya...takhat*throne* ke liye siyasat to hum samajh sakte hai...per Rukkaiya...wo to bachpan se janti thi na hume phir usne kyu kiya esa...takat ki bhook me apne bachpan ke dost ko kaise bhool gayi wo...kyu humari khusi bardashat nahi hui usse...kaise itna bada ilzaam laga diya usne hum per...(now he held Jodha's shoulder tight and looked in her eyes...with his eyes showering enormous pain)...janti hai usne kya kaha jodha...usne kaha ke use is baat ki taklif thi ke wo marium uz zamani nahi ban saki...jis waqt hum apni aulad ki maut ka shok mana rahe the...wo ye sochker gumgeen thi ke uska audha usse chin gaya...kya takat ki bhook insaan ko is kadar andha kar deti hai ke use apne rishto ka bhi khayal nahi rehta... ...kya kisi ko uski galti ka ehsaas karana gunaah hai... kya uski aapke liye nafrat ...humare liye wafadaari se jyada badi ho gayi...humesha humare saath hi esa kyu hota hai jodha...kyu khuda ne sirf dhoke hi likhe hai humari kismet me...kyu...mante hai ke humne use uske gunaah ke liye makool saza de di hai...aaj ke baad hum uska didar kabhi nahi karege...magar ye tees...ke humari sabse achi dost ne hume itna gira hua samjha...ise kaise mitaye apne zehen se...humne socha tha ke aapke paas aaker thodi tasalli mil jayegi humare dil ko...magar aapne bhi...(but he stopped himself as he dint want to bring out that matter again and he fell down on his knees completely shattered...crying bitterly with sobs...Jodha's heart bleed immensely seeing him in this much pain...she was shocked hearing the punishment that he gave to Ruqqaiya..it was the worst punishment ever any wife and women could be given...she knew he was distressed but this much...she dint expect...she felt like killing herself...when he needed her support the most...came to her to lean on her shoulder...expecting care and warmth...acceptance from her side...she too rejected him...behaved ruthlessly with him...that was the moment when she realized that his pain was beyond repair...she cursed herself for not supporting him at the moment when he needed her the most...but she determined in her mind...that she will erase all his hidden injuries with her care...she will give him so much love that he will forget all his miseries...she quickly sat down in front of him on her knees...removed his hands from his face...and wrapped him in the same bed sheet she was wrapping around her...hugged him cozily and very tightly...placed his head on her chest...trying to calm him down..."shhh...bus shenshah...hum aapko ese toota hua nahi dekh sakte...aap humari takat hai shenshah...hum apni takat ko ese bikhrata hua nahi dekh sakte...bhagya per kisi ka vash nahi chalta shenshah...satya chahe kitna bhi katu kyu na ho use apnana hi padta hai...aur satya yehi hai...ke jo dil ke jitna sameep hota hai...chot bhi utni hi gehri pahuchata hai dil per...abhi to aapko un logo ko dand dena hai jinhone aapke vishwaas ko chala hai...jinhone aapki ummid ko toda hai...unhe dikhana hai aapko ke wo chahe jo bhi kar le magar aap kamzor nahi padege...unke har prahar ka karara jawab dege aap unhe...aap Hindustan ke shenshah hai...wo shenshah jinke samne puri duniya apna sar jhukati hai...aap ese kamzor nahi pad sakte... hum aur kisi ke bare me to nahi keh sakte...kintu jahan tak humari baat hai...hum aapse wada karte hai...hum puri koshish karege ke dobara esa koi kadam na uthaye..jisse aapke hridaya ko chot pahuche...ab shanth ho jayiye shenshah...humare liye...kripaya shanth ho jayiye... "...caressed his hairs ...patting his back...placed a soft kiss on his hairs...)

(and indeed Jodha's closeness...the warmth and protectiveness in her touch...calmed him down...and his sobs reduced...he clung to her like a little baby...almost dug his face in her chest...hugged her like his possession...and said in a low voice..."HUM BAHUT THAK GAYE HAI JODHA...HUM KUCH DER CHAIN SE SONA CHAHTE HAI...APKE KAREEB HUME BAHUT SUKOON MIL RAHA HAI JODHA...HUME APNI BAAHON ME CHUPA LIJIYE...HUM SONA CHAHTE HAI...HUME BAHUT NEEND AA RAHI HAI..."...Jodha smiled faintly at him...and helped him to stand on his feet...took him to the bed...and made him lie comfortably on the bed...then she climbed on the bed from the other side...swiftly held his head and put it in her lap...Jalal too encircled her waist and closed his eyes digging his face deep in her belly...Jodha caressed his hairs meanwhile and rested her head on the pillow behind and closed her eyes...still patting his head and back...and both of them fell asleep in few moments with utmost peace and pleasant smile on their faces...finding the much needed proximity of each other)

(Finally the sunny morning arrived with the sweet chirping of bids adding more charm to it...the early glowing sunrays crossed the sheer pane of transparent curtains and reached upon their faces...they were still in the same position...with Jodha resting back at the pillow and Jalal sleeping like a little tired baby in her lap... the sunrays reached Jodha's eyes first...she moved her eyes softly and woke up all smiling...and the next scene that came in front of her eyes...delighted her even more...she saw jalal still in the same position ...as he was before she closed her eyes...he dint move even a bit...she slowly moved her face near his...and blew soft but warm hair on his face...causing his hairs swing with it...she raised her hand and put the threads aside as they were covering his face partially...Jalal smiled in his sleep...though he was awake but dint budge and tightened his grip on her waist...adjusted his head and continued sleeping like any innocent child will sleep in his mother's lap...Jodha understood his mischief...she slowly moved near his ear and whispered lovingly..."UTH JAYIYE MERE SHAITAAN SHENSHAH JI...HUME PATA HAI AAP JAG CHUKE HAI..."...Jalal mumbled with his eyes closed..."JAB PATA HAI TO UTHNE KO KYU KEH RAHI HAI...HUME YAHA BAHUT ACHA LAG RAHA HAI...HUM NAHI UTHNE WALE YAHA SE..."...Jodha smiled playfully as a trick stuck her mind at once...she shouted at once...in a worried tone..."AMMI JAAN...AAP YAHA??" ...Jalal remembered the previous incidence when Hamida had come to his room when they were in bed...and he had saved himself anyhow after much difficulty...he got up with a startle covering his body with the blanket as he was still shirtless..."AMMI JAAN...??...KAHA HAI AMMI JAAN..??"...he looked around but dint find Hamida anywhere...he looked at Jodha all confused...seeing him so much scared...hiding his izzat with the blanket...Jodha laughed out loud..."HAHAHAH...AAPKO KYA LAGA THA SHARARAT KARNA SIRF AAPKO HI AATA HAI...BECHARE SHENSHAH...CHU CHU CHU..."...and she laughed even more loudly...Jalal got really very embarrassed at her gesture...he put the blanket down at once...and pulled her towards him...thus making both of them..falling on the bed with Jodha on top of jalal...he smirked at her naughtily and whispered seductively..."YE TO AAPNE BILKUL WAJAH FARMAYA JODHA BEGUM...WO TO HUMNE KAL RAAT KO BAKHUBI DEKH LIYA KE SHARARAT ME AAPSE KOI NAHI JEET SAKTA..."...Jodha blushed really heavily at his words as she remembered what had she turned into last night...she had indeed gone crazy...feeling way too shy...she put her hand on his neck...and tried to get up from him...but as she touched his neck...he sighed out loud really heavily..."ISSHHH...AAHHH..."...Jodha got extremely worried at his sudden cry...she quickly held his face and asked all concerned..."KYA HUA SHENSHAH??...AAP THEEK TO HAI NA...?"...now she noticed a big red deep mark on his neck and collar bone and wondered how come she dint notice it earlier...."Hey ambe maa...ye itne gehre nishaan kaise hai aapke garden pe..." )

Jalal: - (amazed...holding his neck with his hand...) acha...to ab aapko ye bhi yaad dilana hoga ke ye nishaan kaise hai??...bhool gayi...kal kis tarah khukhaar baaghin jaise humla kiya tha aapne hum per...lag raha tha maano kacha hi chaba jayegi hume...aap hi ki khunkhaar mohabbat ki nishaniya hai ye begum saahiba...

(Jodha was utterly shocked at herself..."KYA??...YE...YE HUMNE KIYA???...ESA KAISE KAR SAKTE HAI HUM...?")

Jalal: -(in a teasing tone) wo to hum nahi jante baaghin ji...hum bus itna jante hai...ke sirf hume pata hai ke kal aapke humlo ko kaise jhela hai humne...aap sirf itna dekhker ghabra gayi...abhi to humne aapko aur nishan dikhaye hi nahi hai...itna ghayal to hum tab bhi nahi hue the jab baagh ne humla kiya tha hum per...esa lag raha tha maano bhooki sherni toot padi ho hum per...(he touched the mark with his hand and again sighed...)...ya allah...itni zor se katne ki kya zaroorat thi Jodha...abhi tak dukh raha hai...

Jodha: - (in a pleading tone) hume shama kar dijiye shenshah...pata nahi hume kya ho gaya tha...hum aapko kaatna nahi chahte the...lekin pata nahi...

(seeing her getting so much tensed...Jalal sushed her up midways...pulling her towards him...taking her completely in his embrace...wrapped his hands around her back..."shhh...koi baat nahi mera bachha...ab mohabbat ki hai to thoda bahut dard to sehna hi padega na...aur kaatne se hume koi gurez nahi hai...magar agli baar thoda dhire se kaatna baba...vrna aapke kaate ka ilaj to kisi hakim ke paas bhi nahi milne wala..."...Jodha punched over his chest softly...making a puppy face and they again got lost in each other's embrace...Jodha kept on caressing the wound at his neck meanwhile...After sometime Jodha broke the hug and said..."ACHA CHALIYE...AB UTHIYE...AAPKE TALWAARBAAZI KE ABHYAAS KA SAMAY HO GAYA HAI NA...HUM BHI CHALTE HAI AB..."...Jalal gripped her waist..."ARE JODHA...RUKIYE NAA...SAATH HI CHALTE HAI...AAP BHI TO SUBAH RIYAZ KARTI HAI NA SHAMSHEERBAAZI KI...CHALIYE AAJ HUM DONO EK BAAR PHIR SE SAATH ME RIYAAZ KARTE HAI...")

Jodha: -(in a scolding tone) dhatt...aapko to bus mauka chahiye hota hai humare sameep aane ka...hum nahi karege aapke saath abhyaas...

(and she got up from the bed and started wearing her clothes...Jalal looked at her mischievously and spoke out at once in a taunting tone..."LAGTA HAI HUMARI RAAJVANSHI BEGUM SAAHIBA MUKABLE SE DAR GAYI...".....Jodha replied smirking at him..."HUH...DAR GAYE AUR HUM??...SHAYAD AAP BHUL RAHE HAI SHENSHAH...PICHLI BAAR KAUN PARAJIT HUA THA ABHYAAS ME...AGAR BHOOL GAYE HO TO HUM YAAD DILAYE KYA??...")

Jalal: -(in a casual tone) huh...wo to aapki khuskismati thi Jodha begum...aur waise bhi ab halat bhi to badal chuke hai...us samay aap humse nafrat karti thi...hume apna dushman samajhti thi...magar ab...ab aap humse mohabbat karne lagi hai...

Jodha: - (confused) aap kehna kya chahte hai shenshah...?? Prem ka abhyaas se kya sambandh...??

Jalal: - (smirking) wo abhi pata chal jayega...chaliye hum aapko chunauti dete hai...ke aaj hum aapko hara dege...boliye...manzoor hai...

(Oh god...here Jalal challenged the Raajvanshi khoon...she replied back with a wider smirk..."MANZOOR...DEKHTE HAI KISKI HAAR HOTI HAI AUR KISKI JEET..."...and she moved out from the room...walking proudly with a victory look on her face...Jalal shook his head saying..."HMMM...DEKHTE HAI JODHA BEGUM...AAP KAISE SAAMNA KARTI HAI HUMARE MOHABBAT BHARE WAARO KA..."...and he laughed out trickily...)
