Hi All,
I want to thank you all for having such a spirited discussion over the night. This is the first time any of my threads have gone past 100 posts and it just speaks to the amount of passion you have for our leads and their love story.
All of us have been very patient with the Jodha-Akbar love story for so many months ... So why are many of us (including me) are starting to become impatient. Speaking for myself, I think it is because:
- Our leads are so close to admitting their love you can feel it- it is like their fingers that were almost touching in the beautiful fireplace scene- they are that close!
- We are all worried that they will back-track before they admit their love
- The CVs don't have a great track record of consistency
There is no way I can individually respond to each of your posts though I have loved reading each and every one of them. Hence, I decided to do one group response. I also have a much clearer view of the episode coming from your posts that I wanted to share with you on the following key topics:
Soul talk: There are three emerging scenarios that are all possible. Why the scene was so vague was either because the CVs were trying to cram too much into it (there was the cuteness of Jalal drying her hair, the flashback, etc.) or the CVs want to keep their options.
Here were the three scenarios I primarily heard along with some slight hybrids:
- Jodha and Jalal both are aware of the soul talk. Jalal wants to hear it from Jodha so he is sure of her feelings and comfort level with his love.
- Jodha remembers only what Jalal said outloud in the room as a dream; the other part of the soul talk is unclear
- This was Jodha's near death experience / dream and Jalal does not know of it
Given the CVs were not conclusive, I have decided I also will not jump to conclusions and will see how this plays out.
However, regardless of the soul talk scenario, this does not mean that Jodha and Jalal do not love each other or are not genuine. The Salim Chisti mannat scene is enough to convince me they are completely in love. We all know they will have to admit their love at some point.
Sujamal: There will some drama for sure because of his entry but I truly believe it cannot be as bad as the movie for a few reasons. In the movie, without giving Jodha a chance to speak Jalal banished her to Amer but I don't believe that can happen here because:
- Jodha- Jalal are now talking to each other - so he will always give her a chance to speak and she will protest as well
- Even in the fake pregnancy track, Jalal thought umpteen times before suspecting / punishing Jodha
- There are people who can prove he is Sujamal and vouch for Jodha, e.g., Maan Singh
- In the movie, Jalal thought he was her ex- fiance; he knows that cannot be the case here
- History (so far as per Abhay) suggests Jodha was never sent off to Amer in punishment
Again, let's wait to see what the CVs will have in store. We thought the Shivani fiasco would be a mess and that was not that bad.
Ruqs-Jal conversation: This I am going to wait to see what happens tonight before making a call. Perhaps, Jalal wants Ruqs to admit she is jealous so he can deal with it directly. He is also unaware of how insecure she is. Jalal is not a good judge of women and jealousy- he didn't get the Jodha-Ben equation right either. Let's see how it turns out tonight.
Thanks again for all your posts, comments, and debates - loved it all. And its almost time for today's episode. 😊
