Tripti my sweet,
Now I am convinced that for all that you kids never complain about it, my posts ARE too long, so long that your attention wanders from time to time and you miss chunks of the text.
How else would you have forgotten, with reference to your comment
@blue, the part of my post , in the
Sangini in the making segment, which read as follows?😉
Jodha is also learning the essential art of coaxing Jalal to do what she wants, instead of haranguing him about it. Though Todar Mal has refused to take his guest, Badal , with him to fight the dacoits, when his wife is weeping in an agony of apprehension about him, Jodha wants Jalal, who is standing there in sullen anger, arms crossed across his chest, to go to his aid.
But she does not know if he will want to do so, given his visible anger about something she does not as yet understand. So, instead of asking him openly, she looks at him over here shoulder, in a fleeting look of mute entreaty. It registers, and though he looks as angry as before, Jalal nods and moves off.
So where was the need for you to add that at all? It was the same with the palki scene, about which I wrote (and later told Adiana that we seemed to be telepathic!):
Again, when Todar Mal offers them a
palki for Jodha, she might well, footsore and tired as she must have been from all the unaccustomed hardships of the day before, have longed for that bit of comfort.
But she knows that Jalal would not want to be beholden to Todar Mal for anything more, and so she turns the offer down gracefully. It is equally touching that Jalal too does not jump the gun and refuse the offer on his own; he gives her the choice in the matter, whatever his own reservations might be. I was delighted with both of them!
You are forgiven in advance for forgetting, or never reading these passages, for one cannot read 5 pages plus with unwavering attention, can one?😉
Lastly, soulmate bonding sounds lovely and lyrical, but this sort of thing is what any well adjusted and caring couple do for each other. Soulmate bonding is a far stronger term, which we should reserve for future use.

^ I loved that bit too, and was just about to add that to my post. 😊
The way Jalal immediately stands in front of Jodha to shield her from any possible intruder ( for after such teasing closeness am sure he did think of TodarMal to be an intruder , and well, he is an Emperor after-all. 😉)
Jalal has always been extremely protective & furiously possessive of Jodha, even when she was not his wife! Too many instances show us that.
So while this was charming, it was not the least bit un-expected, like the way Jodha holds Jalal's hands & gently makes him take a seat beside her on that log of wood ( how tough do you think it would be, to take a bulky Rajat's weight? 😆)
My very favourite bit which I forgot to add in , God knows how was, at TM's residence when TM's wife ( really ill-suited lady, I hope they change her or don't show her) is praying to Krishna-jee & Jodha turns around with a troubled, apprehensive look ( since Jalal has just told her what crimes he holds his host for) and Jalal, with anger all over his face, silently strides off to help TodarMal.
Beautiful. 😳 The 4th instance to show their Soul-Mate bond.
