It was such a good episode again, since the vishkanya departure things have turned out to be so much more positive. Although, ben track did bring Jalal and Jodha closer than they ever have been before. We see them share the screen now with so much of warmth, calmness and happiness. So, let me thanks the CVs again for letting us enjoy this week without any major melodrama so far.
I can't help but go back to the start of JaJo journey or their past, its because just like them I find it hard to believe that they are so madly in love. Jodha hated Jalal even before she had met him. She had some valid reasons, but most of it were her prejudices. In Amer Jodha discloses to Jalal the reason for her hatred, the kaali maa incidence. Even though Jalal had not directly ordered the loot of the temple, he silently took all the blame. As an emperor it was his responsibility to accept the blame as the act of looting was performed by his men. Jodha did not for once think that it might not have been his order, she infact tells him to not act so innocent or pretend as if it was not him who had ordered the loot. Jalal being the character with strong accountability qualities, does not clarify anything with Jodha. At that point in their journey, Jodha did not consider Jalal as her husband or even a good human being. So, it was to some extent okay that she felt he was responsible completely for the temple loot. Today, she finds out that Jalal is shocked on finding out that something like teerath tax exists in his empire. She sees him questioning it, asking for proof. Jodha knew about the teerath tax before her marriage. She must have assumed that this was happening as per Jalal's wish. How I would have liked Jodha to react when she saw Jalal's troubled face. How I would have liked her to go back to Kaali Maa incident and recall Jalal's clueless face. If she could have connected the dots, she would have understood how Jalal is a clean good soul and how his name is being misused to carry out undesirable acts. Jalal understands Jodha's goodness, warmth, care, honesty and loyalty. I want Jodha to realize how so many of her opinions about Jalal were incorrect. If only the CVs ever let female leads accept that they can be wrong as well, it doesnt have to be the male leads only.š
All through the episode we could feel this deep strong bond between the two. Jodha is taking equal or double the steps to participate as the other significant half. In the initial jail scene her eyes are only on Jalal and she is finding it harder to look away. She is smiling and laughing at every small little thing he does. RT's smile watching Jodha laugh was so soothing and I could sense the contentment Jalal was feeling as his beloved is so happy to be around him. The moment Jalal is pulled out for kodhe, she is out as well. Yahan she cannot stop staring at him for a second, the sipahi ki jurrat that he took Jalal away from her - how dare he? Inspite of Jalal stopping her, the mini durga maa roop is back and she frees Jalal by giving her jewellery. I hope Jalal was noticing how desperately Jodha was trying everything to keep him away from wounds. Jalal at that time seemed consumed by agony - at the plight of his empire. He is saddened to no ends that so many unfair laws are being passed without his knowledge. My heart went out to him when he says Jodha took away the privilege of a king that would let him experience the punishment of his own order. I was applauding Jalal with all my heart, this man cares about his people and is sincere about his responsibilities. At this moment also I would have liked Jodha to think about how wrong she was about Jalal in the past, again no such luck...
At later stage we see Jodha wanting to cook for Jalal with her own hands. Jalal got the message as he again had this smile of being special in Jodha's life. We have already seen Jalal's concern for Jodha after the sacrifice. We continue to see many such glimpses today. Jodha's burnt fingers hurt was visible on Jalal's face. We also see Jalal being extremely hands-on with treating Jodha's swelling in legs. Jodha is admiring these qualities of Jalal, be it his marwari bhasha or his care for her or his attention for her. The loudest hint she gave today is when she informs Jalal about her appreciation of him noticing her smallest pain. Jodha basically told him that she sees the goodness in him and appreciates that even a small pain of her's is a concern for him. All this is fine Jodha, but I do not understand why you are taking his repeated mention of dhakka so lightly. I know CVs have something up their sleeves, hope its not another MU. I am going to for now assume that Jodha will take care of eventually. I want Jalal to bring it up few more times before they reach Agra. Then, hopefully due to irritation Jodha informs him of her changed feelings or explains how that dhakka was an accident. They have started communicating so well now, this was lacking in their relationship. Yet, the ghaav that could become nasoor is not being addressed by Jodha..
MA is going to pay a visit to SD soon or find out thru her jasoos who might be saving SD. I somehow have a feeling that this is going to be used by MA as another way to create MU between JaJo. We have seen MA's Jodha out' victory smile today when Ruqu left to find Jalal. She is going to try every trick to see that Jodha is out of Jalal's life. Hamida tried to console Ruqu without spelling it out clearly that she should feel secure inspite of Jodha. Its always good to see Hamida bond with Ruqu, they have been together for so long and it was good to see Hamida's concern for Ruqu. Hamida understands Ruqu's situation very well as she knows how Jalal is moving closer to Jodha and how Ruqu has always been the only one so far. Unfortunately though, only Jalal can calm Ruqu down or make her believe that she will always be the khaas. Its sad to see so much insecurity even after so many years of Ruqu knowing Jalal. She knows he is loyal, this is what happens when you get attached to objects/titles.
The voice over has been trying to keep our morales high with all the plotting going on. It said this was the longest night for them and brought them really close, wish it told us how close - SR closeš?? Given that I am going to assume that Ruqu will reach only the next morning.
Precap: My yesteday's prayer got answered today. We finally see Jodha tend to Jalal's wound. She has become one demanding wife and does not like it that he is hiding things from her.
