I hate it when people needlessly invite controversy. Fatehpur Sikri was built by Akbar to commemorate his victories in Rajputana and to honor Sheikh Salim Chisti.

So why invent a fictitious reason when there is a clear cut real reason. Such things may invite protest of self important historian or somebody else with too much time on his hands.

It is totally unnecessary in the story being told. Akbar could have honored Jodha in some other manner.
