Good point...she can't see remorseful Jallu...i hope she retains her negative human qualities for some time and does not go on a ' mahaan forgiveness binge' right away. I liked the way she dealt with BB... She did snub her initially...I respect her character for her inner strength...I hope she also doesn't become a love sick fool. Both of them are alpha characters...I want them them to stay that way.

You are not alone 😉
Forum is divided who should confess his/her love first. But actions are louder than words. Jalal handed out the Ratanpur fort to Sukanya, was ready to leave his takht to keep Jodha's religion, beared her insults during fake preg track and gave up his marriage to Ruq to make sure the law Jodha lobbied for could be passed without glitches. Even forgave Amer family after Shivani's elopement. That does say he loves her. But his conduct in Benzo track belittled all the good he earlier did. He will now feel the need to regain Jodha's trust and respect, if not love.

But Jodha is in love. And will forgive all his slights the minute she sees him crying and hears about how he repents his actions. Anybody can melt at that sight.

Love and respect go hand in hand. True love can't exist if partners don't respect each other.

I can't handle either the alpha male or the alpha female ruling the show. I don't want one alpha. I want both the leads to be alphas in their own right. A love story of equals is what I signed up for. 😊

I initially suspect all emotional outbursts because that's just an overflow of too many mixed up feelings, very rarely the clear picture.

If Jalal the Emperor wants to play the role of a lover , then he better be prepared for heart ache. It just goes with the territory. So saying he can't live without her is fine, as long as he doesn't mean it literally. He will get over her loss. Of course she's not going to die. And that's when the actual get-real Love Story starts. A romance isn't one sided. Jalal will have to react to what he gets from Jodha. What if she sticks to Kartavya as her side of love. Then Jalal will have to accept it with good grace and keep loving her the way he said he does yesterday. He will just have to be glad she's alive and he can set eyes on her everyday. That should be the respect she gets.

After all this drama, Jalal is not going to demand anything from her. I don't even know if he wants to demand an explanation from her. He accepts the blame for both the circumstances and his peevish behaviour that forced Jodha to find a two-in-one solution - save his life and leave for good. 😆

When she wakes and finds a remorseful Jalal, I know she will want him to not let go of his dignity. Love, whatever that might mean, can wait.

Hi Padbear( luv your name)
Very well said...I thought that I was making a post which will not find supporters... All of us want to see positive things in real and reel life. Love qualifies as one... But luv at the cost of sacrificing one's honor and dignity does not.
I like both the characters because they are strong. Some to the point being pig headed but that comes with the territory.
Thanks
Cleo

Of course when you say you cannot live without another person doesn't mean that you are going to do jauhar or suicide if that person dies. Wordly responsibilities are not easy to shrug off... more so not for an emperor. He can't abandon his empire.
But it does happen that when someone you love dies a part of you dies as well. Their absence damages a part of you irreparably. That is the essence of those words.

As far as insults are concerned public and private insults wound the other person. Certainly the public ones hurt you more but certain humiliations however private eat you up from within

But we have had enough of both from both of them to each other. They have both shared enough experience and emotional extremes wrt to each other that it is time to move on. These experiences ought to cement their bond and trust respect and genuine care should rule their feelings to each other. The third was always there. But the first 2 have been the casualty of these experiences which is what they should aim to achieve.

I have to start by mentioning Rajat Tokas first ... Is he just 22? Amazing actor...world class... A lot of us felt yesterday that Paridhi's acting in yesterday's episode was far superior to his... Now I know that he was saving his energy to deliver this masterpiece.
Beautifully executed dargah scene. Took my breath away.👏

Now let us talk about Jalal...It is so sweet to see that, thanks to the confession at Dargah, he has been forgiven by most forum waasis for his lack of trust in Jodha, her repeated public humiliation and finally a subdued reponse to her sacrifice in yesterday's episode.

Like most other forum members, I too was a little surprised and disappointed with his reaction after the poison ingestion scene. Remember how distraught he was after Rukkiya's MC, Bakshi Bano's betrayal and possible Maham betrayal... I was expecting a somewhat similar emotional reaction. However, i would have forced myself to ignore the subdued/ controlled response to her impending death, had I seen him get into a 'crisis management mode'...don't forget, he is an emperor first...But yesterday his hostage negotiation and emergency managment skills were not at all impressive considering the fact that he's been an Emperor for 8 yrs... He was able to do some damage control today. Finally grilling Zakira and getting the truth out of her was praiseworthy...ability to think rationally in midst of a crisis...very Emporer like... Supporting Rukkiya's decision to kill Ben right away...not so smart...please get information out her first...after all Abul Mali is still missing. Does he have a back up plan? Who else is involved? We are talking about Mughal dynasty... Backstabbers were in abundance...they should have questioned her about Abul Mali's possible whereabouts and if Mirza Hakim, his mother Mahachuchak begum or even the commander Munim Khan had anything to do with all this. Jalal's FBI and CIA have a long way to go.
I too loved the Dargah scene today but it did not move me to tears...I guess, I am in minority today and do have a heart of a monster. My requirements for forgiveness are different. Don't get me wrong...I love Jalal's character just as much as I love Jodha's. I end up defending Jodha more because unlike Jalal, she get attacked from all fronts, Jalal, harem waasis, jail waasis as well as forum wasis...so I am forced to get my narnaal ( with baarood) out and stand right next to her. But as far as loneliness and betrayals are concerned, I have a much bigger and softer corner for Jalal.. Not that Jodha's situation is a whole lot better.

Jalal's confession to God that he can't live without Jodha been interpreted beautifully in different ways in the few posts I was able to read today. To some people, it is not the same as a confession of love. To some, this is an expression of gulit mixed with love. They all were able to justify their stand very well in their respective posts.

My thoughts on this...saying that he cant live without her, means that he loves her...a lot...nothing else. Does it really mean that if she dies, he will die too...I hope not...he is certainly not a quitter and will not run away from his responsibilities towards other people in his life. He will grieve for a very long time but will continue to fulfill his role as an emperor, a husband, a son and finally will force himself to move on. Those of us who have lost a loved one know how true this is...when we think that we won't be able to live without someone...it means we love them...a lot. We grieve, break down but dont die, just gather our strength, pick ourselves up and move on...law of nature.

Therefore, in my opinion, today he said ' I love Jodha' to God and himself. I was happy to see that. This will later bring him immense peace...to her too, when she comes to know.

So why did my heart not melt today? Because, there is only one way this love can transform into happiness for both of them. Not sure how well he'll be able to do that...too many villians including his imperial ego...He has to give her what she craves the most...respect ...nothing short of that will do. This confession will not mean anything if after Jodha wakes up, he yells at her again... in public. This woman who values her honor more than her life, gets humiliated again and again...not just by him but others as well ( worse, with his silent consent)...No ''ishq wala love' confession, no matter how genuine it is , is worth anything if not supported by actions. I am not saying that he hasn't been good to her...but being good 70 percent of the time and spending the rest 30 percent time humiliating the object of your affection to breaking point, can never result in a healthy relationship with complete union of souls and bodies that he craves to have with her .( whether she 'deserves' the humiliation as pointed out by some people or her fault in all this ...will discuss in another post)

Statastics show that most spouse abusers believe that they ' love' their partner. Still they hurt them emotionally, verbally or physically. In their mind, their love for the other person justifies a lot things they do. Understanding human emotions is complicated and this fact does not change over centuries. Disclaimer: I just used an example and did not call Jalal (or Jodha ) a spouse abuser...so please, dont use your narnaal😊

His admission of his feelings for Jodha is a huge step ...I agree...but to me, love is an overrated emotion if not combined with respect as a package deal. The argument that this was 16th century is not good enough. We can't generalize these things...just like we cant generalize anything about treatment of women in 21st century. Agreed, women in 16 th century had very limited rights...but were they always powerless and subjected to ill treatment ? ...no...16th century women did not throw tantrums...says who?...some women held important positions like Mahamanga and Mahachuchak begum from Akbars era... Infact, in those days a woman's honor ( that too a royal woman's ) was more important than her life or even the lives of their loved ones. Thousands prefered dying in a battle to save the honor of their women. History is replete with examples like Rani Padmini of Chiittor. I hope they show Baaj Bahadur- Roopmati's love story briefly before Adham Khan gets killed.
I don't really care if he doesn't say 'I am sorry' to Jodha... Sometimes that is not needed between people who share a deep bond each other. These two certainly do. Also, i don't want to see a crying Jalal anymore. Nor do I want to see a love stricken Romeo. I just want to see a loving, sensible and protective husband. The Harem dynamics need to be changed ASAP because CVs are going to restore Rukkiya to her default mode very soon. Maham is not going anywhere for now. If nothing changes then we will continue to be forced to enjoy nothing but harem politics and 'Operation Jodha Humiliation' for few more months...not sure about you guys, but I need a break from incessant negativity!

Another super post today
CELOSA AAJ AAPKA "SUR" BAHOT ACHHA LAGA HAI😆

I can only speak for myself when I explain my comments - if you read them. I did not forgive Jalal for his treatment of Jodha, no way

I forgave his neglect or acknowledgment of Jodha's sacrifice in the episode of Monday. Yesterday he conveyed his guilt, his disbelief and treatment drove her to this extreme step, he left no recourse to her other than this.

He got his brains back that was good to see, I so HOPED they do not show Mayhem's hand in any part of Jodha recovery. The Zakira bit was good.

I loved Jalal's scene and it got me into tears. I do not consider myself soft at all, in fact serials have rarely made me cry so I have to attribute it to Rajat's super acting and my love for Jodha.
BTW I loved the dialogues, that Jalal never uses the word "mohabbat" that would have been shallow, he says hume mehrum mat karna us se jiske bagair hum je nahi payenge, hum mar jayenge - spot on

No one does not actually stop living, but some part of a person dies. That may never come back, when Jalal says he will die, cannot live without her HIS saying this is very natural. He would not have done this but her certainly FELT it, that he realises JODHA IS THE ONLY ONE in his life WHO EVER MAKES HIM FEEL all this
LOVE - means respect, trust, loyalty, attraction, affection all of them and more combined. So far Jalal has only felt attraction, rest all fleeting emotions various degrees at various times

If you have read some posts I made on other's threads esp Meghana's & Tamy's, I did write that after the risk to Jalal's life is over, Jodha will now remember all the insults, the humiliations, Jalal's hurtful words, how Jodha will be now back to fiery mode

For Jodha - nothing has changed. She will wake up NOT KNOWING how Jalal reacted, how he felt guilty, how he prayed for her.

If anything she will now go into a shell totally drained maybe, after such an extreme and high strung time. Jodha will not be in a frame of mind to understand his love at this time.

Nor do I think CVs will make Jalal profess his love to Jodha the moment she wakes up.

I hope for Jalal this is the first step turning into Akbar. Jalal if he has got his brains back, has to realise he needs to do LOT of redeeming himself in Jodha's eyes. Restoring her honour is the first thing he should do.

NOT JUST PUBLICLY - that will be so easy NOW THAT JODHA HAS DONE AN ACT THAT WILL HAVE ELEVATED HER IN EVERYBODY's eyes, so that is just next natural step.

Restoring her honour in private by accepting her fiery avatar, her hurt if it comes out (I have no idea what CVs will show Jodha like, I am writing what I feel) her anger at his treatment of hers.
Now that threat to Jalal's life is over, Jodha will try to detach herself from him, remembering his do not want to sea your face -----
She will try to show him that she can move away from his life

It is going to take all of Jalal's wooing and understanding to first get Jodha to get over the hurt, the insults, the rejections and come to again think of Jalal as friend first.

That process has to start WITHOUT JALAL CONFIDING IN RUKAYYA OR MAYHEM EVER AGAIN - about Jodha. I hope they show lot of introspection for Jalal, where he will not just come to realise the mess his darbar is in but his manipulations by these 2 women that lead him to this stage.

They used his very vulnerable confidences done in very low emotional state to use THEM AGAINST him to get him to act in forwarding their selfish interests. He should detach his & Jodha's relationship from them

All Jodha's anger, hurt, ruthana, manana, satana, anger to calmness to gradual realisation of feelings to oneself first and then to other will TAKE LOF OF TIME.

I am in no hurry! As long as Jalal accepted Jodha's position is his life, her importance for his own happiness - the shock of her near death will make him SEE EVERYTHING DIFFERENTLY

IT IS UPTO JALAL TO MAKE JODHA REALISE THE CHANGE IN HIM AND ONCE HE GETS EVEN AN INKLING OF HER CHANGED FEELINGS A CHALLENGE TO GET HER TO ADMIT THEM TO HERSELF FIRST AND THEN TO HIM

Superb post cleo...
First of all I want to say that mad passionate love in which you can give up your life for some one is very much possible and happens only once in life and to very very few people...

I agree with you that no love can survive with out respect and trust and these are two things which Jalal never gave to Jodha...We cant compare Jodha's insults to Jalal ...They are not of same magnitude and no third party was involved...

I feel happy abt Jallu...admitting his love /zaroorat for Jodha but it doesn't mean that I am willing to forget all humiliation of Jo...

I am waiting to see how Jallu protect Jo's honor in future and does he make his relationship with Jo private!!!!

The most striking point in this post is regarding 16th century women.. 😉
coz there are lot of misconceptions regarding them. And at times 'generalisations' cross limits.. 😆
BTW, i also made a long post on this clause of 16th century women. You have raised a good point..
