I have been watching in this show Akbar characterisation is more like Jehangir
Jalal needs hand holding for every decision - very much like later Jehangir
Jalal's wife all boss over him - again Jehangir character
Ruqaiah is doing Nur Jahan role in serial
Jalal's wife are more clever and street smart than him -again Jehangir character
First Jodha bai then Nur Jahan and Shah Jahan helped him in taking care of kingdom
Jalal is fickle minded once he says kill him in anger then he will say leave him - Jehangir character again
Jalal is emotional - again Jehangir character who could cry easily
I have heard Akbar cried only twice once when Birbal died and Hamida died. But Jehangir would get emotional seeing kids playing on street or his pigeon die or deer die etc so family we can imagine
Are CVs confused or what this is Akbar not his son Jehnagir show?
Akbar was a street smart, clever, politician cum administrator not easily led by others except when he only willingly let others lead and great warrior
Jehangir was innocent easily led by others, not street smart at all more child like required hand holding and guidance to make decisions, more interested in writing prose/poetry, star gazing and watching birds, animals and plants(Animal/Discovery planet would have been his favourite channels if he were alive today) not a tricky politican and administrator but a great impartial judge and warrior
CVs please do not confuse father and son and mess up characters
Please make Akbar the great not Jehangir the innocent emotional lover boy out of Jalal
I want the following traits in Jalal
- Probing mind
- Clever and calculative decisions
- Decisions not based on like/dislike of complainant
- One who rarely show his inner emotions people keep guessing what his thoughts are
- An aura of secrecy around him- no one to decipher who he is he?
Today if real akbar was there ben and abu mali would not get alive out of agra fort for sure and definetly not taking his wife as hostage. Do you understand the impression that will be made in world if they know jalal wanted to marry VK and VK took his wife hostage. Kingship(and politics) is all about image you potray in outside world.
See Jodha/Salima/Ruqu/Hamida/Maham/Bairam Khan/Atagah Khan helped Akbar in running empire and so did Nur Jahan help Jehangir. But look at perception in people mind we think Akbar is great and Jehangir as hen pecked husband why? Its all about image you potray in outside world. Akbar's wife would work but inside harem and in purdah while Jehangir allowed nur jahan to work without purdah and in open court. Both did same job but in different ways its all about image.
