Muzzafarpur: In an attempt to change the unfriendly and unapprochable image of the police, a senior cop in Bihar is trying to make himself accessible to public 24 x 7 by installing a call bell outside his house.
He calls it the "Jahangiri Ghanti." The bell is installed outside the residence of DIG Muzzafarpur.
The DIG believes it is easy to spread a message through traditional means, so he decided to take a leaf out of history books to become more accessible to the people."Emperor Jehangir's style of justice through his bell is well known and people can relate to it," said Pandey, 48.
