Dear Meghana. Another nicely written analysis. Actually I was also shocked to hear Jodha saying "Shahansha humse krodhit hai, lekin hum unse nahi". I had one doubt related to the first scene of Jodha, Jalal and Ruqu. Jalal told Ruqu that he knows she is not showing off and she is really concerned for him. Is he trying to tell anything to Jodha that time? We can take it in two ways. He could have told it to show that he understands Jodha has concern for him or he could have told that to indicate that only Ruqu has concern for him and Jodha is only doing Dikhava. I am confused about which of the above two was in his mind. What do you think about this dialog of his? Also I was wondering what he felt when Ruqu made Jodha go from there. I felt he was not happy about that. But not sure again.

Bobby that was not a taunt but that was for Jodha - he was telling her that I knw you are truly concerned for my life but I am ok and nothing has happened or will happen to me. This was a continuation of the DEK scene after Jodha left when TE was looking at her wondering what made her take that risk

Thank god for that! By now the royal Hamaam / bath tub should be poisonous as well if that we're not the case. 🤣

Though annoyed with Ruk... this is how she behaves and its also natural with Ja who is still under the influence of letter mu and night shove off humiliation not take side with Jo but even then could feel the unhappiness in his face... For him Ruk is the only refuge how can he object her that too for a person who is just not reciprocating anything
But nice to see the smile in his face when Ma enquired about the attacker ... loved your take on that...
what ll happen to MA and RUk partnership when Ben's reality is out and Jo is proved to be a satisavitri? more hardship awaits for Jo and JA while they realise their feeling for each other esp from this duo...
not much progress in face off of Ben..but the information of the well being poisoned - how is it going to benefit them??? AK and Ben- i dont think he knows her reality otherwise how can he flit with a vishkanya?

Thanks buddy!😊
You are so right, Ruqu is the only refuge for Jalal. Since he has married Jodha, he always goes to her after fighting with Jodha. Yep, he feels that atleast Ruqu cares. Although he knows Jodha cares, but like you said the DHAKKA talwar is still hanging..
Next track we can already see is going to be Ruqu/MA teaming up against Jodha..But good part is Jodha has Salima and Hamida. Most like Ja will also be on her side after seeing how she went above and beyond to save him from Ben.
Its not going to benefit too much ..But Hamida and Salima will even more strongly support Jodha. Now they will believe her completely..So more forces against Ben..
You are right he does not know that Ben is a vish kanya..

While I am disappointed with Ruqs character, I think they cannot show Jalal liking both Jodha and Ruqs so they need to destroy Ruqs totally. Unfortunate, but the true state of TV serials. This is when the 30 second disclaimer will come in handy.

You are so right about the cursed KHAAS title..Ruqu se panga lena hai to use that word..
Is it even possible for a man to love two woman at the same time? It could only be different kind of love..Like he has always loved Ruqu like a friend, but his soulmate is Jodha..I can't imagine myself loving two men at the same time, thinking logically and emotionally here..

Nahi yaar, her saliva is also poisonous. That's why the daak munshi died. Benzie did swallow and spit the water in the shaahi taalab. When her little blood poisons well then her saliva should have also poisoned the pond, na?

Meghna, I just posted this on Divya's post and am pasting it here too.

Somewhere I think TE wants Jodha to claim her position as his wife as a matter of her right and not as something that he has given her - and if you see, Jodha has always given up her place to Ruqu baby - she has never said that 'I too have a right to be his wife and that does not mean I am taking your place but I cannot be denied mine' - this is something that has to come from Jodha herself and until then Jodha will never be a wife - whatever she may claim. Claiming your right does not mean you are denying another theirs. As Coelho says - When you say Yes to someone make sure you are not saying No to yourself - Jodha needs to learn this.

This silence from TE is his way of making Jodha underatand that if 'you truly feel that I am your husband then do not let any of the others push you out of my life, claim what is rightfully yours' - Though he could have told off Ruqu that would always have the tag that it was TE who gave her the place and the rights of a wife, which he already has but has Jodha accepted it??? - if we are talking equality then as a woman who has married her man, every woman shd have the guts and gumption to take the place that is rightfully hers and not wait for the man to give it to her everytime she feels threatened by a MIL, SIL, other women etc - and if one says that the man shd do so everytime the wife is pushed away (which will always happen from MIL, SIL and sundry others) then let us all shut up about equality.

Somehow the vishkanya laws of the CVs don't imply the same. Or else, the harem Hamaam / bath tub would also be poisonous by now. It was enough logic that the well was poisonous. 😉

Megha, you know one strange fact is that Ruku is not mentioned that much in Akbarnama while as much Salima is. Even in Jhangir diary he states her as his father's honored wife, and 2 -3 times speaks fondly of her. At the same time, primary chornicles do not mention a lot about Ruqu either. In a lot of chronicles, Salima and Hamida are mentioned as the negotiator for Jhangir's solidifcation for the crown. Ruqu is always mentioned with that Akbar's regret statment. MUZ title are mentioned everywhere. Tanzin, MUZ was the only few people who could issue an edict, he does not mention Ruqu. Excellent Post btw.If Ruku's power is mentioned , it's always mentioned that it was due to her origin of her birth most of the times. Actually, one text i am reading right now paints Ruqu as more of a grey character, but lady with grace and elegance at the same time.

I like the positivity in your comments, always hopeful! I feel though that Jalal is not there yet. He is still confused about the DHAKKA and Jodha protecting him against Ben. As Salima said let Jodha save Jalal on his own. Then Jalal will have 100% proof on how much Jodha cares and will forget about the Dhakka. So, I do not feel he is at the stage where he wants Jodha to fight for her rights. I feel when it comes to that stage, Jalal might interfere and fight for her rights...that's my take..
