Jalal- An emperor has no relations

I liked how he had given Jodha equal freedom to follow her religion

But as the time progressed i find the way Jalal behaves many times unbecoming of a emperor.

There are many reasons for that

1) Jalal does not hesitate to show to outside world of his disenchanment with his family members be it Jodha, Hamida or Ruqaiah. No matter what a fights/differences Jalal has with his mother/wife etc it has to be sorted in four walls of his house not in DEK and DEA. He has done it many times inituially he called Ruqu to durbar to ask if she did not allow Maham to room, then he openly insulted Hamida a few times by speaking rudely and Jodha too faces this behaviour. I think itts not way a emperor behave especially in front of his employees and citizens with close family.

2) Jalal shows special preference to people like Maham, adham, sharifuddin etc despite grave allegations because they are family. Haven't we all heard a King, Judge must be impartial where is that from an emperor.

3) Jalal also needs hand holding first by bairam khan then maham or ruqqu always to decide anything in his sultanat. Why is it like that? Ok he is young 20 years but still cannot he make few decisions on his own. Looking at this jalal i wonder how he lasted as emperor for 49 years of his life.

4) Condition of women in harem bad. This harem concept itself is alien to us but still other than maham and ruqu and a few women who are cousins, auntys or mom of jalal no one has much freedom here. If only a few have fredom because they are khaas and related to him is that OK. What about other women's freeom, happiness, life? For Meena bazaar Hamida told jodha that harem women rarely go out and hence that day they have freedom to come in open

5) Hero worshiping of Maham has crossed limits. When all humans can see that what she is as a person why jalal cannot see or he does not want to see? Because of him atagha khan will lose his life.

6) Benazir- some unknown lady from his enemy abu mali's harem comes and jalal starts using her just to make jodha jealous. Shouldn't he as emperor make her background check. Hakim told him about her awadhi letter and yet he just asked her and kept quiet? Should't emperor not trust anyone because else he shall be easily tricked out of power?

7) And the marriage fiasco of Hakim is even more confusing. Jalal will have eggs on his face on wedding day and then blame shall be on Jodha and harem. OK Jalal your brother is getting married isn't it your duty to do background check on bride even if she is your relative. And regarding conducting marriage in mughal customs its not his duty to check on shivani is she fine? If hakim will be fine giving her freedom like he gave Jodha? Because he lives in kabul not agra/delhi. How he assume hakim mom is fine with her son marrying a hindu? How he think shivani is fine with marrying a muslim and following their customs?

So when an emperor decides or acts he must be shown as impartial
