Lashy my dear, I love your elaborately fair and characteristically balanced analysis, with a somewhat overly meticulous assignment of blame to both sides, though I am on a rather different wavelength.
I understand aunty... 😆
The rejection ( twice over ) and the pain that he must have felt cannot be fathomed. Humiliation of honour , of sentiments - and that too for a man of pride and self-honour is too much. Come to think of it , the chaos theory played fully to Maaham's advantage. You cannot explain anything to Jalaal right now and he is going to unleash his fury on Jodha.
So you say, that he'd stop at nothing to malign her or humiliate her😕
On the initial evidence, badly. I cannot fathom what possessed her to stand up, assuming that Jalal would actually seat her next to him after that dust up earlier in the day. It was the height of folly, and Jalal used it to the full. As for the precap, why does she go to his bedside to return that jewellery, instead of sending it thru Motibai? Masochism? Her standing up was basically a follow up of the last time, he gave Jodha that 'audha' of khaas begum. There was a lot of re-iteration on that point...so I sorta understand why she must have unwittingly stood there !Obviously aunty, its her childlike 'tantrum' of wanting a proper answer from him... much like when we've wronged someone WE WANT them to accept our apology soon.. and try doing loads of things (albeit a bit silly sometimes) to try and accelerate that process.. her repeated going to him is a reflection of that...many are saying she's humiliating herself... but, I have a different take on it - she's doing it cos she can't sleep at night - cos she wants an answer..cos she wants this issue to be solved (like the many other issues she couldn't put aside without having them solved)For once, they're showing her vulnerable and that only makes her human, in my eyes! 😊
I am glad she is now getting it in the face with both barrels. She has had it coming for a long time, far too long, snubbing him and yet using him whenever it suited her, and now it is payback time. She has to learn what humiliation and heartache are like before she will be worthy to be loved.
I don't mind him avenging his insult (though ill timed, seeing how she's finally turning to be supportive of him)...but the tactics he used doesn't reflect well on HIS status.. its all a bit too cheap-looking for my tastes if you know what I mean...also, I don't know if an emperor would have ever let a dance girl sit beside him in court - that'd be possibly considered more scandalous than divorcing his first wife 😆
And no, I do not agree with you that he does not love her. It is his misfortune, but he does. You think, he does?😕I don't know why it doesn't seem so to me yet...he has all other genial feelings for her other than the actual 'truly deeply' love, me thinks..
Btw hope your sinusitis is better 😕
