Also, Ariel Jalal is trying to bring a general rule about age-cut-off... since girls below 14 knew not anything about marriage..I think according to sharia law..the girl needs to give her approval anyway so a law need not be made specifically for that..if a girl was being forced by her parents of anyone else, she just has to seek justice at the court (though i guess it would have rarely happened that way!)

Besides, Adham was just eyeing the girl. He had not decided on a date of marriage... so his claim was null and void there itself. I frankly find that it is not even worthy of debate.

And Jalal becoming speechless made him look...ummm silly😕 There were 10000 retorts a smart king like him could have given, but he did not? why? ...and why are people even speculating the possibility of Ruq divorcing Jalal? it's out of question!

Sorry but I do not share your sentiment. I was laughing at Adham's laughable claims...

I'm not clear, why is jalal hesitating so much since he himself saw that the girl was being forced ? He should have told the parent shut up and rescued the girl then and there. The law could have been put in place formally later after covering all bases right ?

True, Lashy. I sympathised with Ruq s completely & her angst against Jalal & Hamida for not standing up for her were very valid too. Felt bad for Jalal too for he could nt get in a word sideways to Ruq s rant . But am sure something s cooking up in his brain, his silence is the one before the storm. Really dunno what he s gonna come up with to checkmate Cheapam.

And MA, grrr... 😡 , all I ll say is vinaash kaale vipareeth buddhi. Jalal was sure eyeing her astutely when she stood up to support her Cheapam against Atgah. He has finally started seeing her true colors, I d say.
