I was out for few days and missed the forum/JA a lot. I just caught up with the episodes and couldn't help myself from writing about it. I saw many changes in the characters and also noticed their personality traits. This review is focussed on my understanding of these areas.
Cheapuddin and Javeda:
Jalal:
On Jodha's bday even Jalal did not know that he trusted, respected and understood her so well. Like a young boy he was excited to find out about Jodha's bday unexpectedly and spread the news around. He was eager like a kid to find out if Jodha liked his gift. Within few minutes of finding out that his gift was the best one ever, he found out that the actual Jodha was very different from his inner understanding of Jodha. He faced a mighty blow, but could not accept that his inner voice was wrong all along. With Salima's help and his patience it got proven that his inner voice was right. It felt good to predict that this pregnancy track was a closure to MC track. In MC Jodha had to prove that she was trustworthy to Jalal and in the pregnancy track Jalal had to prove to Jodha that he was a man of honor. Alas, he had to pay a huge price of brotherhood. I found this Jalal to be even more broken and lonely than the one I saw during MC. How sad it was that during both the times it was only MA who was there to console him and Jalal also felt it was only MA who could understand his pain.
Jodha has helped Jalal identify two of his family members that cannot be trusted at all. It has given Jalal extreme pain but in the long run, Jodha has saved him from getting bigger backstabs. I am dreading the day when MA will be exposed also because of Jodha. Jalal will be even more broken during that time, hope Jodha is in love by that time to console and support Jalal.
Jalal wanted Bakshi to be punished, yet when Jodha said BB should be punished - Jalal flinched. He was not ready to hear any kind of punishment for his little sister. Jalal has been brought by Khan Baba and MA, both of them very practical and believe in 'khoon ke badle khoon' philosophy. They made Jalal believe that heart is a useless thing and only makes a human weak. Jalal finds it hard to believe that someone can forgive so easily like Jodha did. Jalal questions Jodha about it and she explains that even he would have not been happy had she punished BB. It was again sad to see that no one other than Jodha felt that Jalal's pain would never go away till he forgave BB. They felt that it was best to leave Jalal alone and let time heal it. A huge applause to Jodha for attempting to console Jalal's pain and make him understand that forgiveness rises you above all. How true Jodha's word felt that if a punishment to someone is causing you pain, then how can it be right?? I am pretty sure Jalal's mind is working on this thought, in the near future he will reconcile with his sister. I was touched by Jalal's gesture of clearing all doubts about Jodha in front of his people. Can a woman or a wife ask for something more?
We see the same eagerness in Jalal to receive his bday wish and gift from Jodha. But our ever cool lady does not give it out that easily. She has done her HW for getting Jalal a perfect gift that he certainly did not have in life. The TEDA Jalal gets his seedha pure gift on his bday and touches his inner soul. Men are not political unlike women - how I wish this statement was false! Jalal candidly praises Jodha that her gift was even better than Ruqu's. If only he looked at MA/Adham/Ruqu's faces on how defeated they felt, or how jealous they were of Jodha. Unknowingly he has caused huge problems for Jodha in the coming future, hope he supports Jodha through upcoming attacks from all of these people. Jalal reaches out at midnight to candidly thank Jodha once again for the thoughtful gift. He prays that she is around to give him many such gifts in the coming future, Jodha is bowled over again by Jalal. I hope some of the Jodha supporters who raised their concern in my views got answers to their questions. I had mentioned in the episode (where Jalal consoles cranky Ruqu that no one can take her place) that when he will let Ruqu know about his feelings once he acknowledges them. Today, he told her that he has a new friend and that did not mean that his old friend did not hold any importance. It feels good to be right about Jalal, so proud of him and his straightforwardness.
Jodha:
Jodha is been brought up in a family filled with love, where relationships, honesty, truth, forgiveness is everything. We rarely got to see this Jodha till now. The kaali maa incident, Suryabhan (first time I saw Jodha admit that she liked him) death and her marriage to Jalal took away all her natural basic loveful nature. We only saw her GHRINA, temper and prejudices most of the times. For the first time I felt that, like every girl she had a dream about her marriage and husband. She could not accept the fact that her husband was an evil person. Every time Jalal proved to Jodha that he was not bad, some of her defences dropped but not all of them. On her bday, she was so happy to get the gift from Jalal. Mainly because her dream about a good husband was proven right by Jalal. He respected her religion not only in front of everyone, but acknowledged it further by giving her the ornaments for kanha.
All thru the pregnancy track we saw a Jodha who fired away Jalal with her anger. Sometimes repeatedly said the same hateful things, because she wanted Jalal to justify his actions. She was restless also because her inner understanding of Jalal was different from the one Jalal was portraying. She is in deep repentance when Jalal's truth is exposed by BB. We finally see the true old Jodha that is only forgiving, full of love and care. All her prejudices for Jalal fall off and with a heavy heart we see her asking for Jalal's forgiveness. Even here Jalal tells Jodha that she was not wrong in her stance, Jodha is unable to understand this man at all. He yet again shares with Jodha about his troubled childhood, being heartless and unable to trust anyone. I am so glad that he exposed his wounds to Jodha, who will heal all of them by touching his heart. She refuses to believe that he does not have a heart or that his relationship with BB is over till he has tears left in his eyes. I was proud of Jodha again when she said if relationships were easy to break by just saying that words, then how would have their hatred relationship ever survived. Lot of things are said in spur of the moment, but feelings and love cannot be destroyed by mere words.
Jodha was a bit too cruel in Amer to tell Jalal that he was all alone, that he could not trust anybody. But, she made up for it by understanding his pain of losing a relationship because of being a king. She understood that Jalal had to keep king's duties at a higher pedestal than his brother's love. She reaches out for support and tries to tell him one more time that he can still keep the relationship by forgiving BB. Jalal was in shock when Jodha put her hand on his shoulders and felt another shock when she took it away. He felt for a moment that someone truly understood his pain and told him for the first time that there was a way for him to come out of it. Everyone else (including him) felt that he had to bear this pain and let time heal it. Jodha after clearly stating her POV walks away from there. She did not expect Jalal to change his mind, but has certainly left the seeds that will change his heart/mind in future - applaud again for this new Jodha!
The odd couple are busy denying the fact that they are in love. They might be right also, but the fertile soil has been laid and seeds have been sown. Its a matter of time before we see the flowers of their love blooming in the air. Jodha can't help admiring Jalal's gift and desperately wants to give something priceless to Jalal. I love it when Jodha calls Jalal 'TEDA', good one for Jalal who keeps encouraging jealousy between his wives. She understands that Jalal lacks the importance of love, trust and blessings of his people. It was so good to see a content Jodha when Jalal completely understands the reasoning behind Jodha's gift. I was also scared like Moti when she finds out that Jalal came to visit her sakhi. How happy was Moti when she found out that her friend did not fight with Shenshah. Alas, the ratri vyatit issue did not come up again!
Ruqu:
We saw a cranky Ruqu throwing a tantrum when she finds out about Jodha's grand bday party. She is consoled by Jalal that it was all his ammijaan's doing and the crankiness vanishes.Jalal also tells her that nobody can take her place, she will always remain khaas. Ruqu gets worried when she sees Jodha and Jalal's similar emotions. She gets consoled to some extent by Jodha that she does not love Jalal. But, I thought her worry was that Jalal should not love anybody other than her. It did not matter if other women loved Jalal. I don't understand why she did not ask Jalal this question. She is very insecure about Jalal because she could never reach his heart. I was also shocked to see that she could not admit to Jodha that she loved Jalal. This only means that she has always thought of Jalal as her best friend and never could (or want) take the relationship further. She is a very possessive, caring and loyal friend. Due to these qualities one day will be very happy when she finds out that her best friend has found love in Jodha. She will certainly try to create problems for Jodha in near future, because right now she does not want Jalal to have any other friend.
MA:
How dubious can a person be? We saw her kill Jalal's unborn baby ruthlessly and without any repentance. Then at the same time we see a lady who is proud of Jalal's achievements, feels pain at his misery and loneliness. Are MA and BB somewhat similar? They both committed crime in the name of love for husband or their son. Actually both love Jalal deeply, but due to their fear of losing another dear one they cause pain to another dear one. Unfortunately I cannot explain this behavior at all, hope no one has to make these kind of weak decisions where you hurt one person deeply to protect the other dear one. In the future also, these two will make the same mistake of hurting Jalal deeply if their other dear one requests it out of them.
BB and SD:
The backstabbing occurred because of SD, but BB was an equal or a greater partner in it. SD had only greed for Jodha, but BB's greed for SD was so much that she was ready to cause pain to her own brother. This time, wise Salima's explanation could not console Jodha and me. The difference is that I am not jealous of BB like Jodha, infact glad that I never can be in that kind of love. It is not love at all, just fear of losing someone who was never yours to start with.
Cheapuddin and Javeda:
Javeda is still a kid who has not lost her innocence. She is a pure soul and her personality clearly depicts it. Her acts make adults laugh, because they are still childlike. I wonder if she will be able to ever accept that her husband is a cheapo and disgust to mahood. Sometimes during this tough times all innocence is lost and kid grows to become an adult, feel that time for Javeda is closeby. Hope god gives her the strength to stand the evilness of adulthood.
