There are 3 laudable steps that jalal took for the general public to bestow him the title of akbar..the incidents happened after the death of MAHAM ANGA and in the period of the subsequent five years..the first one was obvious -the abolition of jaziya tax,the second one being the construction of wells and step wells in all the districts of the sultanate,the third and most important one was the establishment of ibadat khana..the third one was actually established in 1573 but the foundation was laid earlier when the laws of the sultanate was rewritten incorporating the edicts of all the religions,for eg-the killing of cows were banned on major religious days and it was confined to a particular area so as to not offend hindus..ibadat khana was established so as to discuss the scientific truth of all religion.. I don't think jalal was conferred with this title so early in his life but we don't about what the writers of the show have incorporated from history ..
Like I told you yesterday,the digging of the well has precipitated a huge feeling of oneness with the emperor among his subjects.like I said both hamida and jodha want him to a people's Prince who rules with love rather than the fear of the sword..for them sword is only for the protection of their subjects..for jalal,this concept has not sunk in,even though in principle he agrees with it..

So it looks like the wells were one of the issues that got him the title, but we cannot be sure if Ekta will actually give him the title so soon just on that account!
