I feel so too. His transition from amateur king to wise ruler is happening too fast and it seems very jumpy. And to top it all important decisions are stemming from stupid situations and he is being made to look brainless and completely dependent on Jodha for any answers. A king who enacts many laws doesnt know they apply to the future. Really?????
And he only understands Jodhas begums sacrifice and that she did it for her family? So he had a love marriage with everyone else? WTH!!!

Could he not save Tasneem when he went in disguise and enact the law later after he had put a lot of thought into it?

I actually didnt have a problem with the setting up of this situation. Something has to be the trigger that is all good. But the ending did make him look stupid. But you know some part of me was like oh finally adaham khan did something useful. ok we all know if jalal is the man we saw at the start adaham would have been dead by the time he uttered another word. but i guess it is the age old formula the hero can only be good enough if the villain matches up to him so they had to have adaham take one from jalal atleast once to keep the drama going. but what i don't get is why is MA being so dumb. that is what bugs me it seems like she swapped brains with her son and she has lost scope of the bigger picture. are you kidding me is her biggest goal to get her son married off or to attain a higher position in court for her family. How would that be possible now when her son just pissed off the man in charge. MA strategy didn't make any sense to me at all, that is what irked me the most. Jalal is supposed to forget that Adaham made a fool out of him in court and he was going to ride off in the sunset with Tasneem and Mughal subedhaari. I guess this is one of those things someone has to be a fool for the story to move forward.

I just typed a whole lot and lost it :(

Thats nice way to see it, the villain has to be good enough but I think the answer is so blatantly in our faces that we have trouble buying the track. I like the trigger, I'm glad it was an important issue, but I dont like how he is struggling to come up with answers and has to be spoon fed everything. Looking back I feel his speech came too soon. They should have held off on that.

But coming back to MA, it seems she has changed tracks. Now suddenly is more interested in disbanding the trio of begums, esp getting back at ruqiayya for taking away that position from her son. She also underestimates Jalal and doesnt fully realize that he is onto her. which can go either way, the CVs may choose to not have him react at all. Youre right, I agree, her son just sacrificed every ambition to satisfy his lust and she didn't stop him at all. And whats worse is she is choosing small victories over the begums as opposed to the bigger battles. But the CVs may not have him react at all which is probably what he is doing according to the new promo and they extended the life of Adham-MA duo. I think Adhams end will come when he does something more outrageous but not yet is my guess. in the meantime there is more doodh ka karz to be repaid. Jalal will once again refuse him subedaari and he will go on a mad rampage. thats my guess. For now he will lick his wounds when he cant marry tasneem. But MA will convince him thats ok.

Edit: Is it too much to hope that the beginning of the end is here for MA-AK? Maybe that why they are being stupid? Next villain is unfortunately Ruks and then Sharif?

Aunty, how are you now??🤗 And it's nice to see you here again after a long time. Just got to know you are still weak, so take proper rest and medicine time to time and come back soon..😊😊
And I agree with you and with others too that the track doesn't make much sense but you know adham's way to twist the whole situation reminded me of one another incident.

In the case of Delhi Gang rape after the criminals got death sentence as punishment, the defendant said to media that if from then onward no rape incidents happen, he would oblige the verdict given but if a single incident come in light, he would proceed to High Court..

Does it make much sense, I think no, but people say and use this type of fool's theory to justify their acts and twist the situation, same with adham,.His words didn't make any sense, but it made all other dumbstruck,..

When Jodha came to Jalal to say that laws are not retrospective and things happened before can't be changed, Jalal didn't look surprise, that means this thought also came in his mind, it was nothing new and it was not JO did enlighten him, but in the DEK I think he went dumbstruck because he never thought that adham would go that far and moreover he was too angry to speak anything, not even his ministers and ulemas who were advocating him could understand what to say or what to do .

But I think Jalal wouldn't divorce ruku, cause he can't marry her immediately.

well don't worry, Jalal said he wouldn't marry anyone below 14 henceforth, but didn't say that wouldn't marry someone without her consent,.😉😆..So the Harem is not gonna empty soon as all are not his lawfully wedded wives and not may be below 14.😉..

May be it's a hint from PH that as they are running out of money so much so that can't even sponsor new dresses for ruku and Jalal and many more, they are not gonna add any more begum in his harem, 😉😆..Hence out of no where this mahan declaration by Jalal himself, and his realization of his wrong deeds in past..

All recent tracks are illogical and they seem to be designed with the sole purpose of showcasing Jodha's distinction.
The b'day track for example wanted the viewers to believe that the awaam who collected in large numbers to give their emperor dua on his birthday, couldn't send even representatives to Diwan-e-aam on an ordinary working day to inform him of their water problems (and the DEA deals with petty thefts and cases of adultery.), and that their exceptional begum was required to bridge the gap between them and their Shahenshah .
And the emperor was suddenly enlightened to his duties and started to care for his riyaya... as though till then he didn't care... he had just the previous week addressed his riyaya as his janasheen. Short-term-memory-loss as was in the case of chand-ka-lutf-utana. And glorious praises were showered on Jodha from all quarters including the Emperor's soul.
And now this... shahenshah wants to misaal kaayam karna of his new law. As per his misaal hell will break loose in most of the families in the riyaya. Jodha begum with her souten-ly duties intact, reminds shahenshah that ruqaiya begum prems him and he can't do anyay to her as laws are applicable henceforth only (as though the emperor doesn't know and this is his first experience in law-making), but never mentions of what would happen in the awaam.(which would be a more forceful argument) This will serve the purpose of contrasting Jodha's golden heart with Ruqaiya's possessive one and warrant her a halo.
At this rate, instead of this, being the story between Jodha, the fiery princess and Akbar the great, will turn into the story between Jalal the perplexed(ab hum kare bhi to kya karein is becoming a redundant dialogue) and Jodha the great.

well I think also that all the current tracks are illogical but the scene where all his riyaaya came on his call and the scene where he came to know about their problem of drinking water are not so meaningless. Let me explain. The scene where he cleared out the cob web of pregnancy of jodha to his awaam and all came to listen to him, it was not all out of love for their king but more out of fear and obidiency. They were given order to come on their king's call, and obviously they couldn't ignore the order..

And in the well scenario, Jalal asked them about their problem, solved it and then again when they went to greet him,it was out of love and respect,no fear,no order nothin..
And they said that the had sent their representatives but couldn't meet the king..Don't know, but it seems many news are there which jalal can't get to know..

Of course there is a difference in the attitude of the awaam on both the occasions.
But the fact remains that the awaam had access to their Emperor. They could have put forth their paani samasya in the Diwaan-e-aam if indeed it was so severe. They didn't have to wait for their king to come to them to address their problems.( And the place/village must have been very close to the palace if the duo went by walk and returned so soon. So reaching the palace shouldn't have been a big deal. If they were permitted to speak to him on his birthday, it is hard to believe that they cant meet him on an ordinary day) Secondly, even if we assume that Jodha got to know of the problem through some baandhi, how did she know the exact location of the place unless she had a road map of Agra as she is very new to the place.
Somehow the whole thing appeared contrived. This realisation of the importance of the love and prayers of the common man needed a more realistic build-up sequence. So even the effect fails to register.

Ok i feel safe posting it here because i might get brick bats thrown at me. I was thinking there is more proof in history that akbar's real love and soul mate was ruqaiya sultan begum, and i believe even in his personal memoirs he mentioned he should not have married again after her, she was his friend, guide and companion. So whether he liked or loved his rajput queens is one thing, but i am more inclined to believe in reality it was ruqaiya he must have truly loved. so this romanticization of an epic love between jodha and jalal is more like a creation of mass media, and public romanticization of opposites attract. I personally feel more sad for ruqaiya and her life and her journey, i wish we had a story on ruqaiya and akbar, chief consort and emperor. I feel that it is these two that must have had an epic love.

Children bound together by marriage without knowing what it truly means, all they know is they can't be separated like it is a game, but as they grow older they find friendship in their togetherness, she watches over him as he conquers his kingdoms, what binds them together duty or habit, but he was no longer a boy but a man who did his duties amongst them marrying other women, she is as steady as a ship his anchor, love must have blossomed in this journey between them not acknowledged by him atleast she must have known, he swings back and forth between his other women and his public and political campaigns, but she is always there waiting for him never failing, years turn into decades with many changes in his empire a destiny fulfilled, he is aging, his children have grown up but what cannot change is her presence she is still waiting, maybe it was towards the end that he truly acknowledges how much he deeply and truly loves her, now there is no kingdom to conquer no law to pass no rebellion to squander he can finally breathe and live for those that lived for him, he never had to say it because she always knew that is why despite all the heartbreak she could stay strong because she knew she had his heart that was her strength, it was indeed love that bound them together, last of his battles fought and he succumbs to eternal sleep he wont be alone for too long she will come to him again but this time he is waiting for her.
