Depressing as hell though.. The most disturbing book I have ever read is Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson..

Yup...both The Kite Runner and The thousand Splendid Suns were outstanding and extremely hard hitting. I could not deal with it for days. 😭 I used to start crying thinking about it. So will not read anything like that again.
