Ela we can't argue with all this with a 21st c perspective dear...

legally Jalal had rights because he is the shehenshah...so if he captured/annexed a kingdom it is within an Emperor's rights to do whatever he pleases with its praja...this was not only the case with Mughals..it was the case in many empires world-over...

he married Jo because he was besotted with her and she was royalty (he could have just kept her as a slave too since that would technically be within his rights too😕)

Jalal did mention in malwa that he took care of the women from the kingdoms he captured and tended to their needs..🤔

However, Adham cannot have that luxury - he is not even royalty, forget shehenshah...so, I think if a girl refused to marry him, its within the laws of Islam that he cannot marry her, na?😕

Ye to alag baat hai ki Jalal has a good heart while Adham is an unadulterated villain! I don't know how they're going to deal with this track...hope they make it worthwhile...

My problem with Ruqu is that she deceives her so called childhood best friend and also her husband. She is completely selfish. And when there is no honesty in friendship or marriage, there is no true relationship.
