Heer Kunwari was born on October 1, 1542, and was thus 2 weeks older than Jalal (dob October 14, 1542).Both were 19 years and 4 months when they got married in January 1562.

It would have been very unusual in the 16th century for a Rajput princess to be unmarried past 19. She would have been married off at 12 or 13, if not even earlier, and sent to her sasural when she was 17 or son. Maybe her first fiance died.
