You've presented your view in such a great manner that in the end of the read, it gave me great satisfaction'👏. I completely agree with you in the parts where you have described Jalal & Ruqaiya but as usual my take on Jodha is slightly different than of yours.

Jodha: I completely understand her outburst. She is heart-broken after knowing about her pregnancy. But In her every crying session and feeling bad about herself session, she more or less said the same thing that this unborn baby wasn't out of love but was result of a night which she doesn't remember. She has epiphany of what Jalal has done for her which is why yest. She asked him why he broke his promise of not touching her where as he fulfilled every promise given to her? I don't know what else can she do for now? Except of crying and cursing her destiny, as for now there is no way she will think that he didn't do it because she is and there is only that night in her mind which can justify this. Maybe in today's epi after their confrontation and after Jalal putting blame on her of having affair with some Rajvanshi, she may realize that maybe there is something fishy. She may think why would Jalal blame her? Why would he deny the rights of being the father of his own unborn child? As for my view I think Jodha's behavior is justified. Hope after today's confrontation she stops crying and starts thinking about what went between Jalal & herself during the hot-headed conversation.

Jalal: Gosh I just love angry Jalal...I love when Jalal is angry and breaking things, it brings out so much passion in him☺️. Jalal's behavior is totally justified. Many thinks being a Shahenshah he should have taken strict action towards Jodha instantly but for me I think Jalal is completely behaving like a Shahenshah. A man can never bear fingers pointed at his manhood, this hurts his ego. And that is Jalal's case here, if anyone gets to know that Jodha is carrying someone else's child than the whole Agra no the whole Hindustan will laugh at him. They will make fun of his manhood, they will take dig at him of not being man enough to control his wife and this is the very reason why he doesn't want to disclose about this adultery which he thinks Jodha attempted. Also that when he married Jodha, he proudly showed her off as his gift of the victory he achieved. This will be more shameful and humiliating for Jalal because it will be his biggest defeat even after winning. And people will taunt more on this basis and Jalal wouldn't be able to do anything simply because he can't shut up everyone especially those who will be saying all this behind his back. According to me these are the reasons why he is staying mum. Yeah there is this reason also that he cannot stand the fact that after giving Jodha so much importance, fulfilling her every wish, she repaid him this way. He hate the fact that she doesn't love him, doesn't care about him. Jodha matters to him a lot, he may not be aware of this but she does and when someone matters to you betray you in worst possible way it hurts like anything. And this is why he is going to burst out today. I wish to get to see more of angry Jalal today, I want him to show the same passion with Jodha which he did during MC track. I'm such a sadist. 😆

Ruqaiya: I really like this character very much. It's very hard for me to hate her. I didn't even dislike her when on Monday's epi she questioned Jalal and said their friendship is no more because I somewhere understood her condition. Further on in yest epi she made me to like her even more. Yesterday's epi clearly indicated one thing very strongly (as I think) that she loves Jalal very much, she may say that she doesn't love him but the reality remains that she does very deeply but is yet to realize it. She name her feelings towards him as friendship, it is to some extent but there is love also present in that area of friendship and she soon going to realize it once she will know about JJ love. I loved how she took a stand for Jodha and how she slapped Hoshiyar and said hum humare Jala ke aulaad ke saath aisa kaise kar sakte hain...And her respect towards motherhood and womanhood. And when she said to him that their friendship was over, she didn't mean it at all, it was like when we are mad at our best friend for lying to us regarding something which they know we don't want to be lied to. It was that feeling when we say anything to our bff to make them realize what they have done is wrong and they better shouldn't do it again or they will lose us forever. It was more of like a warning we give to our best friends. That was exact what was Ruqaiya's our friendship is over' was indicating to.
I maybe in minority but I'm enjoying this track. I hope after this track we get to see some development in the characterization of three of them.

P.S: Paridhi is one beautiful girl but was so shocked to see her looking dull in the Mughal attire. The makeup wasn't done nicely; I didn't like the kajal, or the makeup. It didn't bring out her glowing face. About the acting part...emmm. I liked it, both of them.

Shyamala Good post .. Yesterday episode Highlight was the positive side of Ruqu, even though she is obsessed with power, but not cruel to the extent of killing the baby which is a part of Jalaal just like Maham.

Jalaal is much more hurted, with jodha infidelity and the trust he has developed for her. He couldn't bear that she still betrayed him, inspite of giving her every thing she asked for. During the court scene, he is seeing jodha in the women, and when she says she jodha didn't like the marriage, or him, or his touch. Jalaal move his head otherside, as he couldn't bear thinking the words are comming of Jodha which is killing him inside, he couldn't say anyone as it will disgrace to him and also for mughal sultanate..

As ar as Jodha, she is not enjoying the pregnancy (fake) as she feels the child is not conceived with love also it happened when she was unconsicous. Jodha was sad that her life changing decisions 1.Getting married 2.Surrondering herself her husband. These two wishes are happened completely against her wishes which re pivital in any women's life.

She couldn't change getting married with jalaal, but atleast wished her 2nd wish may be fulfilled as she started respecting jalaal, but this pregnancy has affected her a lot. More than that she wants to why Jalaal did ? If so why he lied to her? With all three J-J-R all were justified.

I don't know about others but I loved yesterday's episode. If the entire episode was full of serious stuff, then definitely we as fans would not have loved watching it.
Rajat and Paridhi acting as commoners was comical and a relief. Personally, I felt that both Rajat and Paridhi were good (not at their best), as it definitely seemed that were acting to show that they are common people and make their character look distinct from Jalal and Jodha. Yet, I loved them.
Also want to add that Paridhi is surely picking up in her acting skills. Loved her confronting Jalal and stopping Ruqaiya to witness the entire conversation. Also let's give Paridhi a chance to prove. Rajat has been acting since long and has more know-how than Paridhi who has just started. She has the face, voice and poise. Give her time and she will surely fly high.😊
Looking forward to today's episode.😃

Dear Lashy, Tripti,

I also read her major piece that this was not all fiction, and while she has read an impressive number of books, 60 plus as I remember, the point is how authentic they were. I have no idea.

In general, it is good to go by the work of historians who have been submitted to peer review and are highly rated by fellow historians. Otherwise, one can end up with anything at all., like taking Wikipedia as Bible writ. There is a widely praised book by one Oak stating that the Taj Mahal was a Hindu palace, but it is full of holes once you start taking it apart.

Then, in contemporary accounts, there can be serious biases. And also in Western scholarship up to the mid 20th century when writing about what they labelled The Orient. After all, they had to justify their wholesale looting of the riches of the Orient!

This said, Akbar might well have visited Amer, which was after all his sasural.

By the way - aunty -

I just came across a post by both HistoryGeek and Kamal that stated that Akbar had indeed
1) Gifted a Ratanpur fort to Hira Kunwari's sister...😊
2) He'd visited Amer

I never knew this had happened - was pleasantly surprised to know it did.

@red. Yes, but you have to take into account the political and personal ramifications for Jalal as the Shahenshah if, as he believes with justification, Jodha is trying to palm off someone else's child as, if it turns out to be a boy, the heir to the Mughal empire.

It goes way beyond even his hurt, whence the blind rage he feels at the moment, and much, much beyond Jodha's sense of having been cheated and exploited. The two are not comparable at all.

Moreover, if Jalal had been a standard issue husband, he would have claimed his conjugal rights at once, and everyone, from Mainavati downwards, would have told Jodha it was her duty to comply with her husband's wishes in the matter.

It is only because Jodha has a husband like Jalal that this question of his zubaan (which, incidentally, was never given but has now become a piece of gospel truth!) has arisen, and Jodha is able to demand a reply from him in such a loud voice. No emperor would tolerate such hectoring by his wife for a moment.

With an ordinary Rajvanshi husband, he would never have even thought of asking her anything, and any protests from her side would have been overridden at once.

Dear Neetu,

Thank you so much, my dear.

Each person's views on a role or an actor are bound to vary. For me, they vary from episode to episode. I have critiqued Rajat in the past for overdoing things when trying to show extreme anger, and also for not being in as good physical shape as he should. I have also praised Paridhi when I have felt that she has done very well, as in that scene before the Kali temple visit when she ends up shy and dismayed after having mentioned that she woke up late because she had fallen asleep late.

But in the Diwna-e-Am scene yesterday, she was simply not at par, and nowhere near her best, As for the lamentations before Kanha, that is the speciality of every TV serial heroine and it bores me stiff. I like her in scenes like the fencing bout with Jalal, the arati scene, at Ajmer Sharif, where something more was called for and she delivered.

But when you compare 2 actors, you have to compare them at their best. If one does so, to my mind, Rajat has far more facial mobiltiy and his eyes do exactly what he wants them to do. I had not seen him before this, and I am no one's fan,and this is my honest opinion of him. Of course you do not have to share it!

very well written analysis, thank you!⭐️ i concur with you on every single point made. Jalal's handle of the situation shows his inherent goodness and the reason why he does become "Akbar the great - its a latent power within him and he just need a little help in unlocking it.
Jodha on there other hand disappoints at every turn, despite knowing the value of his words she still doubts him. She definately needs working on especially jumping to conclusion, which by the way she outstrips Jalal
