WHAT AN EPISODE! Loved it even more than yesterday's and I didn't think I'd say so before I set out to watch it
1) It showed Jalal's different aspects even better - be it his relationship with Ruqs, his love for Jo or his stern stance in the court
2) Flashbacks - any episode with flashbacks has to automatically be praiseworthy - seeing how characters in the show seem to NEVER remember or recall what happened in the past! And here the FBs were about the anklets - EVEN BETTER! I know how many of us have been yearning for the return of this lil memoir and CVs blessed us with it today!
3) Editing and pace was much better than yesterday's!

Lavina had tweeted that there's a big surprise in store for us...I wonder if it referred to her semi-romantic scene with Jalal or the upcoming non-pregnant pregnancy track (that still I fail to see any logic in!)

RUQ-LAL
All right back to the episode- Why why why is Jalal being so naughty with Ruqaiyya? What is he trying to do😆? Hasn't he had enough of 'woman' troubles that he's inviting more? He's trying to make her jealous and he's enjoying it - but, why? Jalal don't do this...I know as her husband he has a right...I know as her friend, he's having fun...I know that as viewers we might find it tantalizing etc etc...but, as being the Begum who's being spurned it must really hurt! Even if one doesn't like Ruqaiyya, I'm sure we'd not prefer watching him playing around with her so. I know its asking for a lot - but I wish Jalal and Ruqaiyya stuck to discussing about stuff other than Jo when together!

JAVEEDA
Mahamanga-Naama - Oh my Lord! Javeeda is one specially manufactured museum artefact!😆

MOTHI
'So was the Shehenshah immersed in your sweet talks or your long tresses' Mothi asks her😛
How Mothi goes on to tease Jodha about her shift in attitude and change in behaviour is sweeter than sweet can be! I can imagine that this is how friends and daasis must have been busy teasing their queens!😳

The teasing smiles between Mothi and Jodha is now making me root for Mothi's presence on screen in the close heels of Jalal and Jodha!
I'm sure no one missed the amount of fun Mothi was having during that entire anklet episode between Jalal and Jodha either😛!

ANKELTS
How we've missed you so... you... you long stringy clinky pieces of metal? You finally made your presence known - and how beautifully so. While those flashbacks of Amer were a treat to watch - the scene today was no less!

JODHA
'He's honourable...he's generous...and yet without being affected with my hostility towards him, he supported me in the religious issue' Jodha tells Mothi 'I owe him this respect, there's nothing more from my end!'
How long we've been waiting to hear these words Jo

In the garden, not only does she 'Pranaam' her Shehenshah with a smile, she also shies away from letting him touch her feet. I found this a very sweet/novel and realistic gesture. How many times have we seen lovers slipping on the payal for their loveress-es. This was definitely a small novel twist to this payal episode - not to mention the fact that Jalal got to let his Jo know that he still held on to her anklets after all these months [Ting..ting..ting..what does that tell you about him, Jo?]

Apart from labelling him as an anklet thief with a nearly semi-loving rebuke, she restrains herself from reacting to the instance when Jalal mischeivously baited her to Rahim! Our Jo is enjoying his company - no doubt about it!😛

'He's intelligent, but a bit cunning too' she tells Mothi in the Diwaan-i-khaas later on!😛

Why, she even defends HER shehenshah in front of Ruqaiyya - now that's got to be a huge step!

That's a mighty lot of positive adjectives used by Jo for Ja within the span of an episode. Does this sudden change in Jodha's behaviour towards him spell some form of precursor for impending Akdha doom? I sincerely hope not! Anyway, its so beautiful as it lasts, I shall cherish it for now and worry about what's to come when it does!

JALAL
Lord! How beautiful Jalal looked when those sunrays fell on him through that lattice window. How beautiful was that scene indeed!(Despite the fact that it was Atgah Khan complaining about something else altogether😆)
To top it all, he notices Jodha through those carvings in the window frame and breaks out into a smile. Its directorial significance was spectacular!

Do I even need to mention that Jalal was astounding as usual today - be it the teasing smirks with Ruqaiyya, the cordial grins with Jodha, the affectionate smiles with Rahim or when he reverted to stern anger when dealing with those Maulvis in court.

I don't know what Akbar did or didn't do with such religious rebels. However, all I can say is that for those that were unhappy with the subdued stance that Jalal took in the religious issue yesterday - he seemed to find his footing as Emperor once again today. He didn't bow down or listen to their demands in anyway and stuck to his decision of rooting them from their positions of power and packing them off to Mecca!
Was this a quick scene incorporated by the CVs to balance the books? I.e. to keep Jalal close to his characterization and yet not incite any form of religious uproar from the more sensitive protesters?
It seems to be the case since the precap Hameeda scene seems to have been postponed i.e. its not present today!

JODHA-SHAREEF
I possibly don't even need to spell it out that Jodha is going to bear the brunt of her encounter against Shareef. She does seem to have a love for blurting out secrets, doesn't she? She's done it with Jalal and now she's done it with Shareef. Knowledge is power Jodha - you should have just kept quiet. I wonder if this ugly pregnancy track is something orchestrated by Shareefuddin to defame Jo and pack her away from Agra (or is it going to be Ruqaiyya?)
(Anyway, if this track is even going to come - I'd still say they could have easily chosen many other routes to defame Jo - I despise the misuse of something as beautiful as pregnancy for the sake of this)

The editing, pace and content of today's episode even surpassed yesterday's. Had the forum not been shrouded by the dark clouds of this latest not-so-welcome doubtful spoilers, I'm sure one and all could have enjoyed the post-episode forum even more -gushing about it all for many days to come!

And with that I sign off to dream - *sigh* payal payal payal payal payal payal

ya the episode was really good. better than yest.

Jalal and Ruku have shared so many BT scenes, till date, they r really very comfortable with eachother.

one more question? when her anklet dropped there. coz when she gets up to leave, her anklet is already there on the ground. i watched the scene 3 times to confirm it.

Nice post Lashy!

It was Jalaal's episode, no doubt and gosh Rajat does more than justice to Jalaal.
The Payal scene brought a huge grin to my face...
Since with time change the episode airs even before I wake up, I saw the episode online first and then came to forum and only then saw zillion posts on the pregnancy.
So whatever smile I had got wiped rightaway!
BTW whatever happened to Hamida's test?

The payal <3 Shradha di,looks like our cvs have regained their yaaddaash 😉 I just go awww whenever the Gangaur scenes are shown They were so beautiful! The gangaur track of JA is like the koteshwar yatra of PRC. PRC still stands tall for me(obviously😳 ),but Im saying, koteshwar yatra fueled the PriYo magic, similarly in JA,the Jo-Jal magic began with Gangaur.and THAT is beautiful!
Also,Im glad the Maulvis were taught a lesson! Jalal ishtyle mein!
