for me, it's the opposite. it's only this forum that keeps me watching the serial - these posts tell me i'm not the only one who pays attention to details and that it's okay to do so, even with a kapoor's tamasha. it's😆 fun for me

he loves teasing her ,fighting with her ,riling her up and craves for affection from her ...for reasons that are unknown to him ...

I agree with everything. But I meant when it comes to taking the final plunge he may take a step backwards because he is afraid to discover that he does have a heart. I think he may flirt, tease, annoy etc etc but might hesitate to take the last step while Jo wont and then she will be ahead of him. Now he is ahead of her. I dont know. I dont know how to explain my feeling, just hope that he wont hesitate and I'm wrong which is most likely ..at least 90% probable

With all the hoo haa today about the impending pregnancy doom, not much attention has been paid to jalal leadership today which has seen dramatic Turning point. Jalal announces at the end of the episode he will not let religion interfere in political matters and he will no longer consult religious leaders in deciding matters of state. At first I am confused at what changed between Yesterday and today where was this king yesterday. Ok forget that but what jalal proclaimed today is a huge turning point for Mughal sultanate so far ruled by iron fist of religion. This scene is the most significant political move so far in this serial and it didn't get the impact it deserved mainly where are the critical characters. Where is Malika-e-khan, adaham and more importantly maham Anga. Imagine the look on her face jalal has decided that he is going to make Mughal sultanate more secular and we didn't have the most critical player in Mughal politics to witness this significant move. I had a feeling a scene such as this was coming but this soon and at the wrong moment. Jalal/rajat gave a commanding performance but every great performance needs an appreciative audience. This scene felt flat today everyone acted like it was just another at the office. Religion is the most important thing that tagged akbar all thru his reign, and when in the show he proclaims he is taking his empire away from religion this should have send shock waves. The writers could have waited for such a scene to play out to get the impact it deserved. This is the difference in great writing it is not good enough to have great ideas but you need to string it together like pearls and give it the finishing touch it deserves.

No, my dear, I was not referring to the exile part specifically, but only to the pran jaye par vachan na jaye principle, which was a maxim for the whole of the Ikshvaku race, but is now almost exclusively attributed to Lord Rama.

As for the scriptwriters watching the old episodes to ensure continuity, making 1 hour and 44 minutes of net telecast footage every single week must be a huge strain - it is the equivalent of many western films weekly. So I suppose they do not have the time.

But moreover, why should they bother when their audience is so indulgent that it does not mind Hamida forgetting that Jodha saved Jalal's life after first endangering it, and that he never gave her any zubaan that he would not touch her?

When it does not give a thought to whether a king has the right to abandon his throne at a whim without giving even a passing thought to what he might then be visiting on his subjects?

When it is happy gushing over an unconvincingly accelerated rush to romance between the two? And will spend even more time crying once the romance hits an underwater rock and is shipwrecked for as many weeks as the CVs want it to be?

An audience gets the entertainment it deserves.

@loveanime even I felt that it was too soon..

@ Ariel.. he has never been afraid of acknowledging his feelings for her. he did not mind telling her about the payal.. he has been completely honest so far. she is the one who doesnt want to accept her feelings.

hope the pregnancy news is false. its absolutely senseless and will make jo ja both look like fools.

I agree with you. It was a super important scene, one that pretty much wipes out religion in politics and it got all of 2 minutes. But I'm curious to see how and when this will show up in the future and it looks like it will. It definitely deserved a whole episode. Both Ruqs and Maham were not there and those who were present, I doubt the grasped the gravity and implications of his new huqum. I loved this scene, best part of today.

Yes youre right, what i meant is while he says I dont know what it that draws me to you and your family after jo walks away in Amer, I dont know if he will call it love. but like I said 90% chance of being wrong for me. Besides he "jokingly' called it mohabbat already with ruqs.

My dear Afsana,

Thank you for helping restore my faith in this being a forum of thinking people! As long as you continue to do that, you are hereby given permission to gush about the Jalal-Jodha prem kahani, but within limits, mind!😉

Well, ladies, they rushed it thru - rather like the way budget bills are often passed by the Lok Sabha in the last minute - and treating it like a casual, clever trick played by Jalal on the maulvis, because, as Lashy assures me, undoubtedly with reason, the bulk of their audience could not care less if Jalal exiles the maulvis, or goes into exile after the takht tyaag he was ready for the other day, so long as they can cry over someone.

Soon - and I am dead sure the "Jodha maa bannewali hai" track is going to materialise, for I now realise that this was the real reason for the whole body heat episode - they will all be crying with and over a Jodha who is wailing about having been betrayed, while a shellshocked and furious Jalal boots her out and packs her off to Amer will nilly for having, as he believes it, cheated on him. They will weep over him as well as he paces the Agra palace corridors like a panther on the prowl.

Maybe the Ameris will shut the palace gates in Jodha's face, to ratchet up the sympathy quotient and the TRPs, and she will move, with a small bundle of clothes like Nirupa Roy used to do in the old days, and park herself with Motibai in her hut outside the palace.

Everyone will be happy, bar a few malcontents like us, who will be politely requested to use our TV remotes and change the channel if we hate that track so much.

Try out a test case for this forum. Write 2 paras about the pregnancy track, no matter what it is and no matter it if makes any sense or not, and then post it In 2 hours. you will have 2367 viewings and 89 Likes. Then write a 1 page piece about how this separation of church and state principle, perhaps one of the most seminal decisions of that era, affected the future of the Mughal empire and how it should have been covered better. You will, after a full day, have about 900 viewings, if that, and about 40 Likes.

Vox populi, vox Dei. The voice of the people is the voice of God.

PS:As for Jalal's new ruling against the ulema, and exiling the 2 worst troublemakers, that would have made them lie low for a while, but they would still have been on the lookout for the next big slip up from his side. It is one thing to announce a rule or a law, and another to implement it across a huge empire. And also to keep rumours in check.

The British knew that well, yet they never saw the 1857 uprising coming. Akbar had simmering problems all his life with the religious malcontents, and it must have been like constantly putting our brushfires so that they did not ignite a raging inferno. But the religious tolerance and inclusiveness he introduced started waning after his death, and in 50 years was practically gone.

Let's wait till the episode airs - sometimes these precaps have been misleading.
