The other was when he says QUBOOL HAI😭😆😆 The ones who should be saying this haven't managed it yet even after 200 episodes and this beautiful 16th century hero managed it in less than 100😆

Perfect!! Everything that I wanted to say!! Rajat truly is a MARVEL! ⭐️

I would've written a long post but I've been down since a few days with a bad viral + throat infections + some sort of a migraine that increases if I spend much time online.

But I was so charmed reading your post Vick! Really beautiful. 😳

I loved the episode yesternight. It was incredibly sweet, and so romantic! And the best part is that the romance wasn't forced at all. It flowed. Like water on a marble floor. That beautifully, and with purity.

Rajat is always a marvel. Brilliant. His voice modulation is un-paralleled on Indian television & I am sure he will own the silver screen in the years to come. His Talent, is a gold & diamond mine!

My favourites: (even though the entire episode was a favourite some stood just a little bit more)

1 ) When Jalal sits down for his Cooked-by-the-Baaghin-meal & the baaghin who has turned into a billi is stealing glances at him from the corner of her eye. The water is flowing, and he knows that she's wondering what he must be thinking at this adbhudh happening; hence, the gentle but very cute "Paani ko barbaad mat kariye, Kaam aaegaa." 😆

2.) "To phir Hum Aapka saath dete" .. Straight & with direct conviction. That truly was Rajat all the way! It couldn't have been said any other way but to make that stillness , believable was quite a thing . ⭐️

3.) The chandni bageecha:. Jodha imitating Jalal's voice. The lowered register & bedroom voice huskiness ☺️. Even he felt shy & averted his gaze & laughed.. That entire scene was utterly charming.

I really really hope that they keep these romance scene as direct, simple & natural with as much emphasis on the Said & the Un-said.

With a pinch of humour (Paani barbaad mat kariye, Kaam aaegaa 😆)

Apart from the two main Leads , and the a awesome & powerful dialogues, the hatke romance scenes are also the Trump Card of this show!!

Shouldn't be difficult. Atmosphere being a major contributor to Romance , and to live in such grandeur & moon-lit & moon-bright palaces & gardens; much of the job is a done deal! 😉

P. S. Ruqqu has too many screws loose. And why did I feel that Jalal was testing her when he expressed surprise at her not being jealous as she was also his wife?

Seemed like he also believes that she takes him to be more of a friend, less of a husband.

P. P. S. Hameeda jee, Gulli jee & Jeeji Angaa are also JJ Romance hopefuls who are waiting breathlessly for Saleem's arrival. Shahi fan girls of JJ. 🤣

Even though the episode is fast-paced, it was delightful and smooth. Lunch date was good with Mothi & Salima asking why cooking for Jalaal. JJ eating in one plate with Jodha remembering moti words.

Their conversation where Jalaal said, he will be there for her, something hit her hard for a minute..

Loved the interaction of JJ about moon and shah nama. Liked the way Jodha imitated Jalaal. (paridi was good there) Jalaal is giving shy smiles... Today JJ were casual and both Rajat and Paridhi did good job.

Ruku who says she will not even wait for Jalaal comes to see why jalaal is late today and sees both JJ smiling.

Waiting to see what will be Jodha Test ? Waiting what will be the DHAMAKA comming ?

No, Vicki, it is the other way around. I say you are like Shahrukh Khan because it is so easy to become very fond of you and your writing. I am not sentimental at all, and for that very reason, I can appreciate genuine sentiment when I see it, and it is there in abundance of it in your posts.

I say I am a cynic not in the sense of the classic definition of one - a person who knows the price of everything but the value of nothing - but in the sense that I am not easily swayed by emotionalism, which is much more common than genuine emotion and is often passed off as the real thing. Plus, having been a professional diplomat for 38 years till I retired recently, and an Ambassador for the last 16 of those years, I do not trust surface appearances, having had a lot of experience of polished deviousness. And gushing sentimentalism irritates me as much as persistent, mindless do-goodism. Which is why I do not last the course with any of our serials.

I am hard-headed and I value duty to the national interest over personal commitments. So even here, I was angered by the irresponsibility of Jalal's readiness to step aside in deference to the ulema, placing his zubaan higher than the welfare of the awaam, which should have been his prime concern, superseding all else. I do not think you have read my post on No. 99, Curiously unsatisfactory, where I have discussed this at some length. Do take a look at it if you have the time; I have, as usual, PMed you about it.

The end result would have been disastrous all round and not just for Jalal. I was amazed at the lack of understanding here of the political realities prevailing then if people imagine that Jalal can rule thru the back door for a decade plus thru Rahim. It is pure poppycock. I am thinking of doing a very short (for me, that is!😉) clarificatory post about that. After all, this is a historical, and some account has to be taken of the history part of it.

As for my resolution re: Jodha, it was not because I was at all hesitant to write what I feel; I do that all the time. It was that I was myself getting tired of criticising her all the time and not being able to find a single positive thing to say; it was getting to be montonous and irritating.

Take care, Vicki, and thanks for being here as one of the few bright spots around, even if you do get over-emotional at times!😉🤗By the way, I hope you saw my thank you note to you for having rushed to my defence, all guns blazing, in the matter of my 'numbered posts'; that was incredibly sweet of you.

Thank you, Tripti my sweet, and I am so sorry that you are badly under the weather. Virals do give you bad headaches, so do drink lots of water, with lemon juice in it if it is possible. Get well soon.

Yes, and I adored Rajat yesterday, in those 2 scenes above all. I was in stitches over that Paani barbad mat keejiye, peene ke kaam aayega, like a 2013 water conservationist! She was all set to go on pouring and flooding the basin very soon! It reminded of another very charming scene in a film where the girl goes on and on adding sugar to to, staring all the while at the boy's face, while he regards the overflowing cup in bemusement.

And Rajat's face, as he says Hum aapka saath dete was incredible in its stillness and, under that stillness like that of a deep, deep lake, a rockhard confidence and commitment. The boy is a ruddy marvel. I do agree that Jodha was good yesterday, but not a patch on him, not by a long chalk. Never.

I am not doing anything on last night's episode as it has been completely covered, plus it had no scope for analysis. But do take a look at the piece I hope to put out on the rajadharma angle. Take care, my dear.
