Dear Vanilla-E-Mint,
Hoping that you, after having slept over the catastrophe, will break your Bhishm-pratigya and be back.
For this Prem Katha looses all its charm when you are not at the helm of things...
and this I say with a conviction... that most of my friends here will agree with.
If you will remember, in response to my Amer Holiday and Ghagra Chronicles, you had with that devilish double wink likened me to Jodha saying the two of us are never sorry...
(unknowingly you make me the object of envy of many who may now be under the illusion that the Shahenshah is peeping for a dekho of my nirithya by default!!)
your very words being...
I am sure you NOT sorry. You are exactly like Jodha in this respect, neither of you is sorry for anything you do!!!😉😉
But trust me, this time I did nothing. ... really... cross my heart and hope to die...
Yet, if it will barter any smoothening of that creased brow of yours ...
I will willingly stand under the burning southern sun at peak noon and listen to Jodha dole out the choicest numbers from her repertoire. Even provide her the soap boxes and not once flinch.
Today, after the episode reached the stage where Sharifuddin invited Adham for a romantic boat ride (hum dono ek hi kashti mein sawar), I had only just started mulling the addition of a melodious interlude to the shenanigans of the Ghagra couple in the form of the song 'pyaar ki kashti mein'...when suddenly I found Jodha bursting in on a private tete-a-tete between Monarch and Minister.
And I, as per our last discussion on this subject, dropped all other preoccupation and waited for the first mature interaction between Man and Wife to unfold...
But then what happened is by now History.
All I can offer is...
I have never attended any of Shaguni Bai's classes.
But if you will go back and take a look at the pic that Lashy had so indulgently put up,
and re-observe the eyes beneath the feather...
you will realize my response to her was based on pure observation.
Yet I wish I had been proven miserably wrong...
Yours

Moontide, reading Jodha's face in that last shot, is sure that she looks absolutely ready forBhashan number 234567890 .
I feel otherwise. I did not see her eyes as indicating that she is getting ready for anotherbhashan. It seemed to me that she was shellshocked by the implications of what he had done - put her in the judgment seat - and by the brutally frank dilemma he had set out...
But I do realise that interpreting freeze frames is tricky and it could go Moontide's way as well, but then the whole point of this pathbreaking scene would be negated. Why have it at all then?
