excellent post. look from last few scenes its sure tht jalal had developed sum feelings for jodha, but he is yet to realize it. deep inside i believe he wants to develop his relationship with jodha, but at the same time he dont want to hurt ruku as well. he knows tht ruku hates jodha & she wont be able to tolerate a strong relationship b/w them, as a result jalal is trying to handle ruku in his own way. lets see in future, when he will be fully in love with jodha, how he tackles ruku, bcoz im sure his feelings for ruku will be same forever. but im sure in future jodha will also help him to pacify ruku. & i think there will be no fake love game as evryone is thinking. cant trust the CVs, but hope for the best.

MA's death 😆 after jalal is she her second best friend?.. the lady killed her child.. I think she is better off without her.😆

I also agree, Jalal will try to let Ruq down lightly. That's why yesterday he seemed to be testing the waters with her. He will try to understand exactly what her issues are and then try to handle them tactfully, as far as Ruq is convcerned. But regarding Jodha, his mind is already firmly made up. He wants to go one step closer, whatever that may be for the moment, and Ruq is not going to be allowed to stop him!

And she will only be Jalal's. Not Shahenshaah-E-Hind's. That makes ALL the difference!!

This Shahenshah audha is all in Ruq's mind only! She is the only one distinguishing between the King and the man. I do not think Jodha sees the man and king as separate nor does anyone else.

He will make Jodha do ALL that he wants to & because she will want to appear happy in front of her parents esp after her "Hum Amer waapis jaana chahte hain" when Mainaavati came to Agra, it'll be more important for her. I think Mainaavati will urge her to spend time with Jalal or maybe create opportunities that give them that time. 😃

Actually it is my belief - and my hope - that Amer family will put them in the same bedroom. It happened like that in the movie too. So we should have a wound-caring-cum-teasing-cum-bedroom sharing bonanza in Amer. Chalo guys, bori bistar bandho aur Amer chalo!

Yes Ela, the interplay of the political angle with the personal angle is what makes this story different. What looks OK from one angle, looks entirely wrong from another angle. What looks like an opportunity for political brownie points seems quickly to collapse into a frightful decision at the personal level. So that's the fun of the whole thing. And Maham is sure to score some self-goal down the line that nails her!

A thing to consider is that in order to satisfy the modern viewer not accustomed to tolerating polygamous relationships we need to see the change in the Jalaal Ruq equation at the same time we see a change in the Jalaal Jodha equation. Up to this point we have seen Jalaal very close to his childhood friend. Now that relationship has to evolve to make room for this new relationship. For the first time we are seeing Jalaal express some irritation with Ruq. I agree, he was not pleased with her ordering him not to go to Amer. Then later on when viewing the sunset he made a point to say he did not have to tell her why he was going but he would. Again when he was asking if she would accompany him it was in a searching way and he was not displeased with her answer. In short we see a change in Jalaal where it seems that his relationship with Ruq is not satisfying him anymore. Well done by CV's in showing the gradual change.

Plus she will be out of the scene I feel by then.

Jalal isn't as oblivious to her as he comes across. The Emperor couldn't afford to be anyway. He knows much more of what he lets on. Even with a Ruqaiyya, he knows exactly how she will feel & how she does feel when it comes to Jodha. So he keeps testing her. Somewhere Ruq's reactions annoy him a lot & also, amuse him.

If Jalal is this astute he surely knows what Maham is capable of also. The question is: when will he decided enough is enough and action needs to be taken? Till then the dood-ka-karz dialogue will be used, but the moment Jalal thinks he has had enough from Maham, things will change! he is giving her a long rope!
The same way he handled Bairam Khan we can expect him to handle Maham also.

I agree with what you have written. In fact my feeling is that Jalal himself won't change his feelings or bond with Ruq.
But here's the question: Ruq seems to today prefer "audha" but we have to see when Jodha gets Jalal's love, will Ruq start wanting "whatever Jodha has got"?
Some people have their own goals that they go for with a steady mind. Others want what someone else has. We have to see which category Ruq belongs to - whether she always wants only "audha" or she wants "what Jodha has".
If she starts wanting what Jodha has, she may start fighting with Jalal to give her also the same relationship he has with Jodha, and there I feel Ruq may lose whatever friendship she has and not get the love either.
If she over-reaches to demand whatever Jodha has from Jalal, she will lose whatever she already has from Jalal!

You know what, you are not the only one that feels this way, the whole audience population in India feels this way. In my job as a Brand Strategist I have many mega brands as clients who place their ads in the commercial time allotted by these serials, so I have seen tons of research on the Indian soap-viewing audience. And the research shows that the Indian audiences do not like to see the hero in two simultaneous active physical (i.e. sleeping) relationships.
Jyoti, who has watched serials for a decade and done her own analysis on the TRP factor also concurs that there is an unwritten rule in Hindi TV serials that hero is never shown as having two active sleeping relationships. One is ended before the other is begun.
Since public taste runs this way I have no doubt Ekta will be one of the surest people to follow the public taste. She will see that she ends the Jalal-Ruq sleeping relationship before she begins the Jodha-Jalal sleeping relationship. But we have a fair bit of way to go before we reach that stage.
