Its mentioned in Jehangirnama by Jehangir that Daniyal born out of some Akbar's wife was given to Maraim -uz-Zamani just like he was given to Ruqaiah to be taken care. Hence Daniyal was raised in Amer not Agra by Mariam-uz-Zamani.

I think since Hira Bai was hindu Akbar may not have wanted Salim to be raised as Hindu hence handed him to Ruqaiah to teach him Persian, Koran, Turky, Arabic and take care of his studies, sword practice etc. She in turn asked Khan-e-khana to teach him sword fight, horse riding etc. Hence Jehangir learned how to write poetry from Rahim-Doha's and he was very good at composing Doha's. Many wordings on Akbar's, his mom Mariam-uz-zamani's grave, anarkali's grave in lahore etc were composed by jehangir.

Khurram was handed to her after few weeks of birth but Salim when he was a few years old maybe 2-3 years old. Hence both of them were close to Ruqaiah.

Salim was raised in Akbar's palace (as mentioned in Akbarnama) where only Ruqaiah stayed. Hence it is assumed that Ruqaiah raised him. But unlike Khurram, Salim was allowed to freely go arpund placae and visit his mother Hira Kunwari anytime and call her mother.

AKBAR LOVED SALIM HIS FIRST SON A LOT AND USED TO CALL HIM AS SHEKU BABA WITH LOVE , PET NAME . HE LOVED SALIM A LOT AND PAMOERED HIM A LOT AND DECLARED HIM AS HIS NEXT HEIR . LATER SALIM AND ANRKALI ISSUE HAPPENED . BUT AKBAR MANAGED TO GET RID OF ANARKALI .

JODA GOT HER SON SALIM MARRIED TO HER DAUGHTER IN LAW MANMATHI , DAUGTER OF HER BROTHER BHAGAWANDAS AT YOUNG AGE ONLY

In Akbarnama it says in open court Bagwan Das asked for Manmati to be married to Salim when Akbar told them of his desire to find a bride for Salim.

LATER MANMATHI GAVE BIRTH TO SHAHJAHAN. FIRST CHILD OF SALIM (JAHENGIR) . SHAHJAHAN WAS FAVORITE OF AKBAR . AKBAR GAVE SHAHJAHAN TO RUKAYYA TO RAISE WHEN HE WAS MONTHS BABY

Jagat Gosain a Jodhpur Princess was Khurram's mother. Manmathi was mother of Khurau.

WEN SALIM WAS IN HIS 30's HE HAD SOME ISSUES WITH AKBAR . BUT IT WAS SETTLED BY SALIMA AND RUKAYYA . THEY BROUGHT FARHER AND SON TOGETHER .

JAHINGER VISITED JODA WEN SHE DIED . ALSO HAS BUILT A TOMB FOR HER BEHIND HIS FATHERS TOMB . LIKE SHE IS A SHADOW OF AKBAR . HE RESPECTED AND LOVED HIS MOTHER . BUT THE THING IS JODA DINT HAVE MUCH INFLUENCE ON HIM . SALIM DISLIKED HIS MOTHER ONLY BECAUSE SHE SUPPORTED AKBAR WENEVER FATHER AND SON HAD CONFLICT . STILL HE RESPECTED HIS MOTHER .

After ANARKALI incident ...some ministers used him against akbar ... SALIM was jus 17 years ... So he rebelled against his father

Ministers knew akbar weakness is SALIM ...so they used him

But later they settled down the issues ...within an year they became normal as usual and maintained lovely father n son relationship ... AFTER AGAIN 16 years some issues came between SALIM n akbar ...political issues ... Again they fought ...
