Lol I never said he rebelled because he wasn't Part Hindu. I said that was ONE of the reasons why he did. And that's true. His followers & people at court did give that as one of the reasons.

From what I know Jehangir didn't love Jagat Gosain, he must've been find of her though.

ruquiya didnt raise up salim. ruquiya raised up salim's son khurrum i.e. shah jahan. yes ruquiya was fond of salim, but she never raised him up. since, salim was born after many prayers each nd evry begum of akbar was fond of him. in fact, when jahangir rebelled against akbar, both ruquiya & salima begum played a huge role to patch up between them. ruquiya was actually akbar's fav. queen, but he respected jodha & jodha also always kept a gud relation with akbar's other begums. in fact in later years he look a great interest in hindu religion & its customs as well.

He always had an eye on Meherunissa ie NoorJehan (after her nikaah to Jehangir) in fact there are many stories which state how Jehnagir after he ascended to the Imperial Throne, had her husband Sher Afghan, murdered on charges of assassination attempt & treason. Which in fact was true. They, along with Khurram, were planning to murder the Emperor soon.

But the timing was only for NoorJehan. He had loved her madly & she, being an extremely Wiley & ambitious woman was becoming stifled with the life she was leading.

After her husbands death, after a suitable time, she returned to the Agra fort as Ruqaiyya Begum's Lady-in-waiting, her toddler daughter in tow.

Some books say Yes some say Nur Jehan was forced to marry 20 yearsw her senior Sher Afghan who treated her badly by Akbar because Jehangir was madly in love with her.

Jehangir was an emperor first, before being a lover or a husband! As an Emperor he had to uphold the Law whosoever had the misfortune to be cast under its black shadow.

Yes, ditto on the facts u mentioned 😊and to add a few things...I do not wish to comment on Ruqaiyya or any other begum (it seems there's some very strong biases in this forum in favor of other Begums of Akbar 😊) , but just to add this from an un-biased view, we should not forget that Jehangir-nama is something which Jehangir wrote...and he did not have a honey-sweet relation with his Father or his Mother as I already mentioned here earlier...so quite possible for him to vent his grudges in form of writing off his father as a despicable one and mentioning his Mother in an unattached way....And anyways, he was an infant or a wee kid when his brothers and sisters were born, so it was impossible for him to Actually Monitor who gave birth to whom.😆 He collected info from other ppl only later ...

Based on giving just a son does not entitle a Begum to be famous in history (As there were other sons too but they were not declared the heir at such a tender age or forgiven for so many rebellions)...So whatever the views and rumors be, Heera K./ MUZ aka our Jodha DID hold special place in Akbar's life and that place retains it's prestige even today (All her paintings indicate and records mention her an extremely glamorous Queen)...U see history recorded in that age can be erroneous but cannot be completely baseless , atleast in cases where 2 such powerful royalties were involved (Mughals & Rajputs)

Yes he might have, she was actually an unusual Rajput princess & very beautiful! Very fair, large deer eyes, pink lips.. Her eyes they say conveyed a lot. And she as educated & a very good swords-woman. Akbar liked unusual women , women who he could converse with & take their opinions. So no wonder he apparently took a shine to Jodha.. It would've difficult not to.
