JALAL-RAHIM
Just as I'd thought - Jalal brought the 3-4 dibbis he'd picked up from the dibbiwaala and presented it to Rahim in the form of a gift - in return for the truth from the child. The manner in which Jalal approached the child today was markedly different from that of the previous day.
After a bit of coaxing and a staunch promise that he'd not punish Rahim - whatever his mischief was - the child blurts out all he'd seen the other day!
When Salima hears the truth she is shocked, but Jalal is literally moved to tears. It was sweet to watch Salima understanding Jalal's plight and vowing never to cough up the truth ever again!
RAHIM-JODHA & JALAL
Rahim comes to Jodha and during the course of his playful banter with his Choti Ammi tells her
'I'll not talk to you Choti Ammi...you broke your promise and repeated all about my pranks to Shehenshah...Shehenshah is better off than you...at least he didn't break his promise!'
THAT is how Jodha thereafter learns of the the interrogation that'd transpired between Jalal and Rahim!
The alternating montage of Jalal and Jodha that follows is an exciting watch
On one hand we see Jalal appearing lost and torn. Reflecting on MA's deceit, he walks alone through the palace pathways!
In her chamber, Jodha sits agape on her couch - worriedly wondering to herself
'Is this why Shehenshah was roaming the streets in disguise yesterday'
'Now that he's heard the truth from Rahim, Will he trust my words this time around... or will he forgive MA once again'
Evidently disturbed by the incident and possibly for the king himself, Jodha looks on in silence!
Back at his chamber, Jalal breaks down - the anguished man is barely able to dismiss his attendants as he reminisces all of his significant history with MA.
Black and white flashbacks show us scenes of how MA had risked her life to save the child Jalal from cannon attacks...
Memories of how MA had played hide and seek with the little Jalal...
Days when little Jalal would trouble his Badi Ammi at meal times...
'Can't imagine my very own shadow would back stab me one day...' he cries. Falling down on his knees, the Emperor wails in pain 'Why Badi Ammi? Why did you do this to your own son? Why did you have to kill your own son's son? Why did you do so?'
Needless to say, RT displays pain very well.
AMER
A significant sentence Sukanya stated today spurred on a few notions. The saddened princess sobbed that her life was also shaping up just like Jodha's!
'Suryabhan was murdered by the Mughals and now Kunwar Ratan Singh by the Mughals too!'
Does that mean Sukanya eventually gets married into a Mughal family?đ¤
Anyway; back at Agra while Bharmal had given Jalal lamba chauda bhaashans, here in Amer he was in fulltoo praise-Jalal mode! Mainawati had a lot of reservations about Jalal's actions oflate, but Bharmal would hear none of it! Lol! If only Jalal (and Jodha) had seen this bit about their daddy dearest!
AGRA
Security at Agra is on high alert - What with Jalal about to make such a significant announcement in a short while!
When Hoshiyaar was perplexed with the alarming decree by Shehenshah so late at night (when it was clearly nowhere near night btw!), Ruqaiyya defends her best friend as usual
'Shehenshah knows what he is doing...if he must have summoned everyone to court, the announcement must be a significant one...who knows, the news might turn stale if we waited for the night to pass...' Typical Ruqs!
Another point - be it the cannon attack scene earlier or the above mentioned scene where guards, attendants and announcers heighten security in Agra - the production department seems to have stepped up their game! It looked far better shot than the war scenes a week ago!
ADHAM-RESHAM
For the first time I could see genuine concern in Adham Khan's eyes for his mother. The scene where Resham and Adham fret over the sorry future of MA is really different and noteworthy - seeing how I've never seen how AK care for anyone but himself!
'Either declare war on Jalal...or escape with your mother' Resham advices AK 'If not, today no doodh-ka-karz dialogue is going to save your mother!' (True...this karz dialogue has turned out to be the crux of JA serial so far!)
MA
Despite hearing of the latest developments in Agra, why was she so cool - literally sipping on a relaxant - a sherbet as she lounged on her couch?
What made her so confident of her fate - that Jalal would do no such thing to her? For a moment, it seemed like she'd lost her marbles!
However, once she dismisses Adham - we watch her removing a large mirror on the wall. I have no idea what she intended to do with that not-so-well-hidden shoddy escape route behind the mirror... but, let's wait and watch! Since lo and behold she's back in the episode tomorrow, she obviously escapes nowhere now ...or does she?
My take -
Has MA hidden a PROPER Hamshakal in the passage - the kinda ones you get only after a plastic surgery? Have to wait and watch. Anyway, hope the CVs don't botch up MA's escape from punishment with silly reasoning/scenes! Especially seeing how they'd come up with a very novel idea (the painter's picture of her eyes) of nabbing the culprit!
Though no AKDHA scene to ride high on, this episode was a much needed transition to the next stage. What with Jalal finally discovering the truth and Jodha discovering that Jalal'd discovered the truth!
Also, Jodha seems to have genuinely given Kanha a rest - Ambe Ma was her ishta devtaa today!
The most significant scenes (obviously apart from Jalal being faced with the truth) were Jodha's reaction on realizing Jalal's discovery of the truth and the Adham-Resham Adham-Maham confrontation!
