I totally empathise with you Aunty and realise the reason behind your excitement of writing such a late night post. Hope you are not overstressing your eyes once again as I do not want to miss on your post on the upcoming exciting episodes😛.

Yes the episode was a fast paced and a very refreshing one too. Jodha did come out of her "Ghrina" concept for a change.

And you have sighted a proper reason too for the scene between Bharmal and Kumwar Pratap, otherwise there is no logic behind it.

Regaring historical footnotes: I sometimes follow the "Maharana Pratap" on Sony also. And the child actor potraying Pratap is amazing. Its actually interesting to know the story from both point of views. Though Jalal hasn't made his entry but, but off course Humayun it seems did betray Rana Udai Singh's wife who did have brotherly affection towards Humayun and trusted him blindfolded.

Thank you so much, my dear Lashy. You are beginning to read my mind, I see!😉

As for the precap, I think, on consideration, that Jodha is merely extrapolating from the Shahenshah having been in the bazaar in disguise and inferring that he must have gone there wrt the dibbi affair, and thus that he must have found out about Mahaam's guilt. It is stretching things a bit, I agree, but it is more plausible than the reverse interpretation, viz that she has learnt that he knows it is Mahaam, and from that deduces the reason for his visit to the bazaar in disguise.

Anyway, all should be revealed tonight, and then we can wait for the tiger.

As for Mahaam, my bet is that she will wriggle out using the Mullah Beqazi route. She simply cannot be cashiered so soon. But I cannot see Jalal merely sending her off to Mecca. Or in fact revealing the truth to the general public either, for think of the scandal, and the repercussions for the prestige of the Mughal sultanate! Executing Adham for killing a Minister is one thing, this would be quite different and infinitely worse. Jalal will have to bury it under some plausible window dressing.

Even I am very intrigued about how Jodha is made aware of the fact that Jalal suspects MA...it must be a SHOCK for her - seeing how staunch his belief on MA was the previous day...Jalal is out to investigate into this further...I think he'll use the method of sly questioning -to Rahim- and get the truth out of him...

As for MA's fate I think she'll be banished off to Mecca only to return a month on -just when J and J's love buds are beginning to blossom...she'll be back seeking forgiveness in her usual dramabaaz style with doodh ka karz dialogue - Jalal usually has no reply for this karz dialogue...once she's reinstated, she'll then plot the entire scheme about Jodha-Sujamal (like in the movie) which could lead to Jodha being banished from Agra...Seeing this is an Ekta serial this is how I've seen the vamps in her shows take a typical route - and what's more - it conveniently fits into the sub-plots of this semi-historical

Ambe Mata to the rescue: Kanha having apparently earned a day off after some heavy duty listening (with earplugs, of course) over the past week,😉 it was left to Ambe Mata to do the honours this time. And she did it in style.

I knew this comment was coming 😆

The CVs have obviously got their act together again after the titanic upheaval in the Jodha Akbar team at Balaji, for they today managed to sort out several seemingly intractable problems concerning, in no particular order: the solution of the dibbi mystery, the puzzle about the pirbaba get up, Humayun's humshakal Mullah Beqazi, what Jodha was doing out in the streets of Agra, plus the belief of the viewers that the telecasters had got the precaps mixed up, for there could not possibly be a Jalal-Jodha scene that was so peaceful!

In the process they also

(a) provided an excellent, entirely plausible, and very favourable build up for Jodha Begum in the eyes or, to be precise, the ears of her patidev, who was till now convinced (almost exclusively by her, of course) that she hated him unconditionally and thought only of pulling him down at every opportunity. Yet there she was, dressing down a group of idle townsfolk in no uncertain terms for maligning the Shahenshah who, she pointed out to them , was their protector and father figure. She then hauled them over the coals for gossiping about the affairs of her parivaar which, she made it clear, were niji, and thus not open for public comment. The CVs further

(b) supplemented this with a very revealing comment to the aforesaid patidev, at the end of that very charming little exchange between the fake fakir and his real queen, that a patni did not like to see her pati begging for anything. No wonder that as she went her way, the fakir's mouth twisted in a curious and entirely pleased half smile.

Loved loved loved this para...

and as you mentioned, our desi Poirot lived up to his name...😛am I glad or AM I GLAD!

Rimi, I have always heard a different story, that Humayun did come, but got there too late. The so-called intercepted letter about the pact between Humayun and Bahadur Shah might have been a fake meant to dishearten Karnavati.

Yes, Faisal Khan, all of 14, whom I adored last year in the DID L'il Masters, is a superb dancer, both technically proficient and capable of interpreting deep emotions thru dance. No wonder he won that competition. But I must say his performance as Kunwar Pratap took even me by surprise. He projects transparent goodness so convincingly. A wonder child, that is what he is, and coming from such a humble background too - his father is an auto rickshaw driver in Mumbai. Really wonderful.

Even I was glad that Jalal did his disguise and go meet that dibbi walli on is own accords without Ruqu on anyone's insistence. Finally he did what he thought was right and he was successful.👍🏼

The million dollar question is, how will MA come out of this because those eyes toh are only hers.😆

thanks aunty. nice analysis. loved both Jodha and Jala yesterday. abt the precap i think Jalal in rage goes to Hameeda banu, not to MA to seek some consolation. MA will escape this time also for sure. coz as per dates in history, Jodha-Jalal were married in Jan,1562, and MA died in Agra in sept,1562. so i think we have to wait for few more days for that.

abt Pratap-Bharmal encounter, it seems unlikely as per history. coz when Akdha goot married , Pratap was just crowned prince and not the king of Mewad. he was just 22 yrs of age when AkDha got married, and became a king , i think 6/7 yrs later. i ll put the facts later. CVs should stop showing these meaningless scenes

No,Diksha, it was a silly scene, but they clearly say that he is just a Kunwar, not the Maharana.

I don't think Jalal will go to his Ammijaan. If he needed consolation, he would go to Ruqaiya, not to his mother, with whom he has no emotional connect at all. But the point is that he needs to thrash this out with Mahaam at once, and that is what he will do.

I do not see the CVs bothering about being off by a few months or even a few years, when 5 years ago Ashutosh Gowarikar made a gorgeous and successful film in which he totally dispensed with both Ruqaiya and Salima! But I agree that Mahaam is not going anywhere just yet, for a different reason. They need her as the main negative protagonist, and the Sujamal misunderstanding, which has to come when Jalal and Jodha are much closer, is due down the line.

Don't worry, my dear, exams do come to an end eventually. I have gone thru this so many times! I am very pleased that you are going to be a doctor, and I am sure you will make an excellent one. But I agree with you about a doctor being always on trial. It is a great responsibility, but a noble one. After all, you have to repair what God has created, and keep it in good running order!

Hi Aunty. Your thorough analysis of each episode is always a pleasure to read. I have always been a silent reader but after today's episode I decided to comment. Today's episode was a true delight to watch. Jalal's and Jodha's interaction at the market was so cute. I loved how she defended Jalal as a king, as a husband and as her parivar. Look forward to reading more of your post.

Tina😊

One of the best scenes for me was the vignette which saw Jodha brush away all the leaves naturally, but carelessly strewn all around the Maa-Ambe statue which made her worship difficult. To see a Queen, that too, a Mughal Queen used to living in un-imaginable luxury & splendour do this little deed herself while being accompanied by 5(6?) daasis, was revealing. For it showed Jodha's innate humility & her pious shraddhaa when it comes to her Kaanha Jee or Ambe Maata. It is this very shraddhaa, that is so charming.
And of course- The best scene today, humorous , and oh-so charming 😊 was the disguise scene. Rajat did a good job of the not -impeccable material that he was given, and was convincing too, but I infinitely prefer Jalal as Jalal than this fumbling & overt-handing shaking Pir Baba!

What made the scene that much better was that one knew the other, and the other till then, didnt know that One was there.😛.. It was important for their future relationship for Jalal to see & hear Jodha's firm but gentle scolding to the passersby. It's all very well to be defended & protected within the palace walls or when the His Imperial Majesty is close-by; but for a wife who claims to intensely hate himv, loathes what he stands for & seemingly doesn't care two-hoots for him, it was protective & definitely delighted Jalal; to see his righteous Rajput defence lawyer take to that task so well! Because Jodha's Rajputana sanskaat & maryadaa is such that it would never allow for her or her marriage to become a bazaar gossip scene, she took to task the young men for talking so dismissively about their Shehenshaah, who is "pita-samaan".For doing so Jodha proved one thing- Whether it be as an Emperor or as a Fakir, she, Jodha, will always stand by her Jalal for Jalal, the person. Not, Jalal, the powerful Emperor.

And what's more? Jalal saw that too! Maybe that's another reason why he gave that very indulgent, half-smile while on hearing Jodha?😊 , Icould almost see him do a head-shake! As if to to say-" Aaah! There she goes again, righteously scolding somebody! Isn't she adorable😊?" Jalal was much pleased by the whole incident & even more-so by her declaration that "ek patni ko accha nahin lagta ki uske pati uske saamne haath phelae". His smile at once became tender , and his eyes softened. 😊. I am tired of saying so but- Very , very well done by Rajat!

And when we saw Rajat pacing restlessly up & down his chambers while the female artist was painting Maham Manga for him, he was like a tiger in a trap. Didn't know which way to turn, with furious steps pacing up & down. Your description of that scene is evocative & spot on, Shyama Aunty.

In the never-ending miscarriage track & the walk-out by nearly a 100 employees, finally a very good episode! And the kind I've come to like most- Enough substance, drama with a splash of romance- And the curious little foreshadowings that these , to take a little leaf out of Jalal's dictionary, judaa, CVs give us!
