JALAL-JODHA
'I know why you did this' Jalal screams at Jodha 'Because I considered you a culprit...because I banished you into isolation...so you want to insult me...I've considered you innocent and THAT should suffice for you...leave the investigation to me
'I've found the culprit for you' she meekly tries reasoning with him
'THAT'S ENOUGH!' he shouts
'Do you know who you've tried pointing fingers at...the one for whom I'm prepared to shed every drop of my blood...well, even then I shall not be able to repay her favours'
MA cowers behind him in fright, while he continues in rage 'You've blamed a lady who can sacrifice her life for me...how can such a person murder my innocent unborn?'
RT has acted extremely well in this scene
'Do you even have an idea as to how much she means to me' the livid king charges on 'I was a little child when my own uncle wanted to murder me...my parents could do nothing for me...they were helpless...it was Badi Ammi who risked her life for my sake and saved my life...'
Even Jodha seems quite taken aback by this piece of information about Jalal that she wasn't aware about
'And from then she's been my pillar of support! She used to let Adham Khan cry, so that she could tend to me instead...she gave up the love meant for her own son so she could shower it on me...' MA is grinning through all of this - she must be wondering - through her doodh ki karz, she's ended up passing on her draamebaazi dialogues to her son 'Jalal' too
Hmmm RT has acted very very well in this scene...but during his emotional outburst, he was literally squashing MA every time he went on to hug her and this went on for about 10 times through the course of the monologue! 😆
'I owe my status to only two people in this world - Khan baba and Badi Ammi...after Baba passed away, I've taken an oath that whatever the case, I shall never let anything happen to the one that I have such love for! First I lost Khan Baba, then my child...but I will let no such thing happen to my Badi Ammi' he warns Jodha 'At first I considered you innocent in this entire affair, but by pointing fingers at my Badi Ammi, you've committed a crime no less...and you shall be punished for this!'
Saying so, he darts forward in anger, but is stopped by MA who gives him a few words of advice on how an Emperor should curb his anger.
Obviously, Jodha can see through MA's drama (which MA makes no effort to hide) from which Jalal is entirely shrouded. Jodha can do little else, but grit her teeth in anger
At the end of it all, Jalal tells Jodha (while MA is still in his arms😆) 'Consider yourself lucky that MA was here to save you..if not, you would have been a victim of my wrath today!'
JODHA-MOTHI
CVs are visiting us - today Mothi and Jodha covered MOST of the points we'd been discussing in this forum
1) Mothi 'Jodha, you said so yourself that you would not approach him without proof...then why did you go running to him?'
2) Jodha's comments on Jalal - Jalal is kaan ke kache - i.e. listens to only those who he wants to listen to
3) Her word of advice - Faith helps one conquer this world, but blind faith like what Jalal has on MA can bring that very person down!
Another dialogue
Mothi 'Now that you're innocent why do you bother about who the culprit is?'
Jodha 'I don't...because I ghrina him' 😆
Mothi 'If you ghrina him so much, then why did you feel so bad when he lost his child'
Jodha 'I felt bad for that mother who lost her child...' yada yada
I sorta went into a zombie mode when I then heard Jodha say many words out of her favourite dictionary like vivekheen... krodh... dand... pratishodh...Amer... etc etc...
However, I did wake up when she stated one EXCELLENT SENTENCE 'He doesn't listen to his well-wishers...he doesn't understand that the people who surround him now are only around him because he is powerful' 👏 And since then I was all alert through the epi 😆
JALAL TO HIMSELF😳
I loved the next picturization of Jalal - through the lattice-work room divider in his chamber, we get to see screenshots of him feeling the wounds on his neck as he talks to himself 'What you've done is no good Jodha Begum! You've blamed Badi Ammi and committed a grave mistake...'
RUQAIYYA-JALAL
In this meeting; all of Ruqaiyya's statements made sense and NONE of Jalal's statements made sense - Don't believe me? Read on😆
Ruqaiyya 'You've come to me and yet stayed quiet longer than usual...I think you've come close to finding the culprit'
Jalal 'If only...but that's not the case...people will start considering me inefficient if the culprit is not found any time soon...it's my fault that I let Jodha Begum free...I have no heart but she's blamed the one person who's come closest to it' (This no-heart line is seriously making NO SENSE to me...EVERYONE has a heart- full stop!)
Ruq 'Based on what did she say all of this?'
Jalal 'With no proof at all..I can't imagine the hurt she must have caused Badi Ammi'(Ya Right!)
Ruqaiyya thinks to herself 'Jodha is not such a fool that she'd lay claim to something as substantial as this without enough reason to back it! WOnder what she's found that she dared to point fingers at the very person that even Shehenshah'd dare not raise his voice against!'
Loved Ruqaiyya today! For some reason, one could see the stark difference between the way Ruqaiyya was approaching the situation in comparison to Jodha - esp in her scene with MA! Yes, Jodha is one of pure soul and she wants justice - her intentions are angelic! However, Jodha learn something from your senior - RB! Its not wrong to use a bit of shrewdness while striving for justice!
MAHARANA PRATAP
WOAH MP suddenly made an entry today! His dress is very very glamorous...his dialogue delivery less than glamorous!
JODHA-JALAL
Jalal is again angry (even before he heard Jodha's name!😆)
'If you've come to blame MA again, beware...you'll be punished severely'
Jodha is not worried 'You know nothing better than punishing someone who's come for justice..I have no fear of punishment...I'll say what I have to'
He reminds her with rage 'First time Ruqaiyya saved you...last time Badi Ammi did...but now, possibly your fate might not be as fortunate'
'The weak worry about fate...I'm no weak person! You asked me not to approach you without proof...so, I've come with proof...'
She goes on to explain how Rahim had spotted MA carrying out the act
'Summon Rahim here' Jalal shouts angrily
I loved Jodha in this scene - she was calm, dignified, fearless and her retorts perfect!
'I am shocked that you'd include a 4 year old in your plots and schemes' he snubs
'If the 4 year old ended up witnessing MA's dastardly deed, then what could I do...you'll not believe me as it is, hopefully this 4 year old would open your eyes and help you see MA for who she is'
'SHUT UP! NOT ONE WORD MORE! We don't shelter culprits...only punish them...even if they're relations of mine!' he concludes
Rahim arrives and Jodha tries questioning him about it, but Jalal's enraged tone startles the little boy into silence!
After all that ranting and raving yesterday, today's episode seemed very very very sensible...very well paced...I liked Ruqaiyya, Jodha and Jalal (for his acting) equally...enjoyed the episode thoroughly! I loved Jodha's fearless dignified intelligent stance (what I've been waiting for) I could empathize with Jalal's agony and I loved Ruq's shrewd play! 👏an excellent episode after 4 dry ones!
PRECAP
WOW WHAT A PRECAP! I suspect 15 topics already opened on this one!
