DISCLAIMER - Not a WU...only my take on Jalal and AKDHA scenes 😳

Jalal-Salima
'I have a right over you...over your love' Jalal reminds an otherwise uncomfortable Salima as he tries to get close to her.
Through the short course of their (odd rather than intimate) time together, Jalal puts forth many queries to her - questions that were awkward enough to make her cringe! Yet, he did them - he needed to know how far her royal ambitions extended to!
'I know Khan Baba loved you madly enough...did you reciprocate his feelings towards him'
'If so, then how did you agree to get married to me'
'Do you still love him?'
'Then why are you ready to oblige my wishes now?'

Her face blank as can be, the tone of all of Salima's replies read 'You are my husband now and it's my duty to obey you'

Lying on the bed next to her, he runs his hand on hers. She winces, trying to overcome her discomfort. Knowing all, Jalal eventually questions her 'What is more important to you...fulfilling the wishes of a husband that's alive or keeping the memories of your dead husband alive?'
She can't quite understand what he was trying to hint at!
Soon after, he offers her the 'arkh' - which the innocent lady is readily about to partake of.
'Stop'he interrupts her just on time 'The person I'm looking for is NOT you'

Salima is pretty startled when Jalal abruptly gets up and gets off the bed. It was nothing but a moment of chivalry that made up for the scene prior - when Jalal picks up her dupatta and puts it back on her with due respect.
'Forgive me for this impudence' he apologizes -his grim expressions reflecting that his mind had nothing beyond regard for her 'You were Khan baba's wife and will always remain so. This fact shall never change'
While Salima questions him further, Jalal proceeds to put on his coat 'Someone was trying to falsely implicate you of something nasty...that person has not succeeded...that's all! I didn't want to repeat the mistakes I'd committed with Jodha Begum...' wearing his turban, he confesses 'The person who'd tried trapping Jodha Begum has tried the same thing with you too but has not succeeded...I'll find that culprit soon!'

Personally, I felt the scene was not out of place - the CVs didn't make us squirm! One could see the constant shade of suspicion on Jalal's face as he was doing what he was - and he stopped before things went far. Needless to say, his apology and behaviour following the revelation of the truth made me go 'awww'. Its rare when one witnesses Jalal's graceful tenderness towards a woman and today this scene brought about just that.

AK-MA
The biggest shock for me today would have to come when Adham Khan actually tells his mother that his suspicions lay on her. In fact he was convinced!
'Tell me you did this for my sake and make me the happiest person on this planet' he tells her. I don't know whether to despise this man or feel sorry for him

Unmoved, he watches his mother break down on hearing of the accusations from her son. She sobs 'Do you know what is the difference between you and Jalal? You are my blood, yet you doubt me...but even if Jalal got hold of evidence against me, he wouldn't doubt me for an instance'

Her wails had no effect on him. Once the apathetic son leaves, we get to see the real face behind her motherly devotion - a motherly devotion that was reserved ONLY for ADHAM!
Many guesses did their rounds in the forum and a few had pointed fingers at MA. Now, I have no issue with MA being the culprit - if she wasn't a historical figure. She was not the most ideal lady no doubt - but this is a fictional murder being pinned on a real historical figure - CVs please take care when adding more masala in future. We have enough protests to deal with, as it is!

JODHA-RUQAIYYA
Obviously, our resident Nancy Drew cannot stay still - she needed to know the truth and runs off to Ruq. After having thanked Ruqaiyya thrice for saving her life, Jodha puts forth many (sensible) questions. However, Ruqaiyya has nothing decent to reply
'Stay away from politics'
'I don't have to answer you'
'Just because I saved your life doesn't mean your status has been elevated in the Harem'
'Jalal never WAS yours and never WILLbe yours!'

[Yo lady - she's asking about the culprit here...you're really not making much sense!
Had Jalal stated the same things to her, Jodha's would have been ready to slay him.
However, Jodha is not perturbed about Ruqaiyya's tone - she's more worried about the culprit that framed Amer! (All us ladies love our Maayka, but Jodha madam has a distinctive Ameri OCD me thinks!)

JALAL-MA
So, there was a purposeful reason behind MA not being present at the court the previous day - she remained unaware of what was transpiring between Ruq-Jalal-Jodha-and her own missing Dibbi! (Ta-dah!)

'I wonder why Jodha was let free' she fumes to herself 'I need to know!'
She approaches Jalal to find out. [By the way, what a sweet moment when Jalal asks her not to address him as 'Shehenshah' anywhere outside the courtroom. How could MA do this to one she professed to be her own?]
Anyway, MA gets an answer to her questions when Jalal admits with a frown 'Jodha is innocent, so I let her go'
He lifts his hand and shows her the dibbi. Needless to say, MA is shocked!

A beautiful episode today. Well paced - Jalal-Salima scene was handled very well and none of the scenes were dragged beyond necessity bar Ruqaiyya's 'I-am-holier-than-thou' tirade.
Jalal's regard for MA now makes me cringe...I don't know if MA's involvement in this will come out yet...however, her deeds are becoming increasingly cruel! I preferred a grey MA to this 'black' one! Still wish the culprit was someone else...but too late to wish now...

Jalal-Salima scene was handled well.. and loved Jalal in that scene 👏👏
MA is the culprit.. I am glad no more CIDgiri for us audience.. let's see which innocent gets killed this time..

Jodha now all of a sudden is interested in finding out the culprit.. she was soo disinterested when she was nazar bandh 😆

Jalal is surrounded by people who simply use him.. unless he gets rid of all these people.. Jalal won't become Akbar..

My dear, I don't think anyone will protest on behalf on Maham. So don't worry. 😆

And everyone knew that she was the culprit. Thank god that they finally decided to put us out this misery. I wouldn't have cared if Jalal himself was the culprit if it meant we will get rid of this track. 😆

You think? At the rate JA's been gaining notoriety, I'm beginning to worry for Hoshiyaar's depiction 😆...

Lying on the bed next to her, he runs his hand on hers. She winces, trying to overcome her discomfort. Knowing all, Jalal eventually questions her 'What is more important to you...fulfilling the wishes of a husband that's alive or keeping the memories of your dead husband alive?'

'Stop'he interrupts her just on time 'The person I'm looking for is NOT you' he sort of apologized to Salima.. I wish he does the same with Jodha.. ! From the precap.. I guess he is gonna try... but jodha will give him a tough time😉

You are my blood, yet you doubt me...but even if Jalal got hold of evidence against me, he wouldn't doubt me for an instance' Her wails had no effect on him. I knew it was Maham Anga.. thanks to the spoiler but the reason isn't very clear to me.. she does realize that there is no way she can place Adham on the throne.. No one will accept him as the king, right? Why the need to kill the unborn child.. Man.. she did look so evil..and why not tell Adham the truth.. she thinks he'll blabber? I feel so terrible for Jalal.. he is surrounded by such horrible people.. 🥺 I think Jodha and Rukayya may find out its Maham but they will not be able to prove it.. and Rukayya won't even bother telling Jalal because she knows its no use.. Jalal genuinely loves her too much. If he does find out its her, he will be broken..

Once the apathetic son leaves, we get to see the real face behind her motherly devotion - a motherly devotion that was reserved ONLY for ADHAM! Jodha will find out about the lady who raised him, she may even feel sorry for him!

'Just because I saved your life doesn't mean your status has been elevated in the Harem'
'Jalal never WAS yours and WILL never be yours!'
[Yo lady - she's asking about the culprit here...you're really not making much sense!] Ruku doesn't leave an opportunity to put her down.. but Jodha realizes that underneath that arrogance, she has a heart.. the way she said 'dil ke zakhm.' there was pain in her voice.. and jodha empathizes with her loss..

She is going to start plotting now.. Most likely, Resham will be implicated in this.. I'm very happy with today's episode!! Monda we'll have Akdha nok~jhok..

well first of all very nice and good write up and thank god that the Salima-jalal scene didn't continue for so long, otherwise it would look really odd,. Now jalal is trying to solve the matter calmly and with much more intelligence,. But alas, all his moves will go in vain because at last it's MA, and if Jodha by chance succeeds to reach to MA, Jalal is not gonna believe her, never. As Maham said if Jalal found evidences against her, still he wouldn't point finger to her. But Adham is her own blood, and obviously khoon apne khoon ko sabse bahetar pahechan sakta hai...Adham also knows what his mother can do or not, and thus he is not convinced with her mother's tears too.😊

thanks Lashy, nice post as always!
i will keep it short today!! very very disappointed with CVs😡 i don't feel like writing much!

Jalal-Salima

it immediately started off where they left yesterday. I could sense Salima's awkwardness she was as uncomfortable as i was watching it. Nevertheless CVs did a good job, everything was decent from the Jalal's questions to the execution of the scenes. His focus was only on getting information from Salima with very personal and confusing questions I was glad Salima passed the test like we all predicted and Jalal immediately got back into being himself...phew!

was expecting him to cover Salima with the very dupatta he removed and he did . ... and was even hoping for an apologize ...bang on! he did apologize!😛

Rajat carried out the scene brilliantly, just the right amount of expressions and gestures without making it look over the top!

AK-MA
this is the reason i am so disappointed!! i had hopes that the news of MA being the culprit would be false. She was shown to love Jalal like her own child and the amount of respect, love and admiration Jalal has for her makes me sick that she indeed carried out this heinous act! 😭

Why Ekta why! was it too much to ask for MA to stay grey and not black!! 😡

Seeing tears roll down MA's cheeks i was hopping till the very last moment that it would be someone else! alas!!🤬

The only good thing is Ashwini's acting!

JODHA-RUQAIYYA

i somehow wonder if Jodha was indeed educated on the the royal norms! Is it difficult to comprehend that matters of political importance are to be kept discreet!

Jalal had informed her yesterday in the court that the matter is under investigation!! still she has to butt in!
I get it, her family and herself were blamed for the crime they didn't commit and it has hurt her deeply but interfering in court matters seems naive!

Ruqaiya has been shown to understand these things much better than Jodha!
the conversation was stretched and the last bit of dragging in Jalal was making no sense! Jo was asking about the next suspect and Rukku was busying boasting about her control over her little Harem and Jalal! *yawn* she is in for a might awakening when Jalal falls head over heels in love with this very petite begum!😆😈

JALAL-MA
ouch!💔 i was just praying that jalal doesn't tell MA about his evidence...i was about to sigh in relief when he said he intends to keep everyone out of it even Wazire Aliyah..bam! but not his mother!😡
and there goes the evidence!

the only way this case will close is when MA get's an innocent soul to die for the crime she committed!

I won't forgive CVs for this!😡

on to the precap!!

i believe Jalal went to talk to Jodha and someway indirectly wanted to apologize ...end result is Jo explaining Ja about broken trust! 😔...forbidden love story!🤔

Wonderfully written. I always wait for your synopsis. It so beautifully captures the essence of the epi. Used to read your writeup even during RJN days. Thanks.
Waiting to watch tonight's epi.
