To be honest, I do not read a great deal in the forum, because after I have done my post and responded to the comments, or most of them, I do not have any time left. I know that I lose out on good threads in the process, but I cannot manage any more.
But I am so glad that I stumbled on your very evocative descriptions of the day's episodes, the first one I read being yesterday's, and naturally I am back today for more! You do it really well, my dear. Just enough of your comments, and neat, pertinent ones at that. My felicitations.
As for the declaration by Jalal to Jodha, that is not a poem, but a little speech, and it is in my latest Wuthering Depths. I had PMed you, so do look it up, you will like it. Pending that, I will reproduce the part you are interested in straightaway here.
"Of course she will forgive Jalal for all his present excesses. If he was smart enough, which I much doubt, he would have simply said to her: I was so furious with you because I felt betrayed by you. And I felt betrayed by you because I had begun to admire you, respect you, and most important of all, trust you. Achche khaase Shahenshah ka tumne kya haal bana diya, Jodha! Jo bhi maine kiya, wo sab tumhara hi kasoor hai.
She would have caved in and forgiven him, because we women, all of us, are suckers for the idea that we have tamed a headstrong, rough and tough man and made him our own. I think I will drop Jalal this useful hint for future use๐. Of course he might muff his lines, but there is only so much one can do for him!"Keep up the good work!
