History has always fascinated millions, especially Mughal period which had myriad emotions love, passion, deceit and betrayal, not to forget, this era also focused a lot on art and culture.

Jodha Bai has always been a debatable topic, who was she, how was she and from where did she belong to? Was she the mother of Jahangir? OR was she the wife of Jahangir? Why she is not mentioned in Akbarnama orJahangirnama? Even authors who have written novels focusing on the particular characters like Mehrunisa, Laadli , Jahanara etc have adopted a safe route not to give a name to Jahangir's mother and refer to as first heir born to Hindu Princess/ wife of Akbar.

TFS.. jodha's nam is always in controvercy.. bt in Tajmahal.. thers was a temple which was named as Jodha bai temple.😳

may be thats because of some people who could not come to terms with the future mughal emperor being the son of a Hindu woman .. so its better to confuse people .. people will keep guessing n nobody will find out the actual truth..as everything starts from his/her name n here the name itself is a big mystery . .feeling so sad for Amer's princess .. whatever her name was 😔

thanks for sharing...😊, but if you take a look on the few last pages of the thread " Ruqaiyaa-a forgotten enigma", you will see that Autumn Rose shared one volume of ain-e-akbari, where it is stated that amer princess was given marium-uz-zamani name and jodh bai,princess of jodhpur, a completely another woman gave birth to jahangir, so due to lots of confusion at last Rose left her research..😊😛.. Now it's also not clear whether salima gave birth of any child or not, but it's stated that if she had given, t was not murad (credit to ain-e-akbari). So nothing is clear at this moment.😕

Actually both Akbar and Jehangir had Rajput wives..and Jehangir was the son of a rajput.. sure
