Akbar has how many wives?

In serial there are lots of Begam.

About three hundred wives, and five thousand escorts. But he had three principle wives- Ruqaiyaa, Salima and Jodha/ Mariam. So no, if anything the serial is actually not showing that many wives. And an information, not every woman who stays in the harem is his wife. Some of them are. All of them are his fangirls through. 😆

Well- most of the historians say that he married around 30-35 women and rest of the women ( be it 5000 or 300) were concubines or just servants.

According to about.com, Akbar had 36 wives of various ethnic and religious backgrounds.

He married Princess of Amber, Jaisalmer, Bikaner and of Dungarpur.

One of his wives... Bibi Daulat Shaad gave birth to two of his daughters. According to Jahangir Akbar was very fond of his youngest daughter.
