Actually I am reminded of another small scene that has clues again that Jalal can be handled better via his "childhood". If you all remember, he was about to behead the lady from the harem who had an affair with her lover and claimed the baby was Jalal's. In hindsight, now, that "treat him like a kid" is probably the only way that works with him. If you appeal to his adult emotions or adult mind you will just raise his hackles. Treat him like a kid and he falls lock, stock and barrel for it!

There's a difference however in the way Ruqaiya did it versus how Maham Anga does it. The Maham way is obviously counterproductive. Maham tries to remind Jalal of how his childhood is beholden to her, which is absolutely not the way to handle him I guess. Instead Ruqaiya does not appeal to his "judgement" she just "treats him like a kid" and it seems to work.

I very much agree with what you have proposed in this post and also all the valid incidents been mentioned in favour of it... however we should know that jalal lets his guard down in front of the ppl he cares for n thus they are allowed to treat him tht way ( like :- MA, ruq,BK till he was alive)... n we should also not miss this for a fact tht he does not include even his mother in tht list...


secondly, he has been shown expressing his feelings only when such events have called for it ... both MA and Ruq , very well know how to exploit this trait of his very well ... but i think here is tht does jalal , not know about this ??? is jalal tht naive tht he has absolutely no idea about this whole scenario ... i think he does ... there are several incidents which show jalal dismissing whatever MA tries to suggest ... which does not interest him ... also he forgave AK because MA...asked him to consider thr fact tht he was his foster brother , indirectly asking a favour for her loyalty ... n what we call as dhoodh ka karj

As far as Ruqu is concerned , she does wants wat is gud for him still n he knows tht ... she yearns to be his favourite n has brains tht appeal to him... so he always lets her get away with whatever she wants ... for now ...

so my question is tht how will he let his guard down when it comes to JO...n even if he does .. how would those few minutes have him bond with Jo ...unless he wants it...

They might bring the purity out of their hearts and both would behave well but i do not think tht at this point he would take away much from the incident ...n even if he does iam sure tht JO would put her blind goggles on the very next moment ...jalal ki saari mehnat bekaar jayeegiii...

According to me there has to be some life saving event , involving both the parties tht would be a stepping stone for the trust to be built first ... as soon as they have some kinda faith n trust over each other would they start venturing towards other emotions ...

About the life saving event ... i called it an event purposely... i was trying to acknowledge the fact tht it is EK maiyaa's show ...n though C.v"s have improved a lot .. but u can't just nullify wat your producers wants ...can you ??? now we all know wat EK wants ... don't we ??😉
