I beg you, DON'T CHANGE NAME OF CHARACTERS AND SHOW!!! Please don't
I couldn't tolerate Jodha being named something else and Akbar too. If you don't realise I may tell you ,The name and the particular Actor makes a special place in audience's Heart, You well know the consequences when the lead actor is replaced, Don't you?
It takes time for the Audience to accept the new face, which results in less TRPs. But then the show moves normally. But name is a BIG thing and is more impactful.
And you are saying of changing names? The name Jodha Akbar connects the Audience and I don't think it will work if you change names and characters.
The Film 'Jhodaa Akbar" was a BIG hit! Protests were there at that time too.
Were the protesting Rajputs there at the Time of Akbar? No! So who gives them the right to protest, when they don't know the real History. We couldn't blindly beleive the written records and they state different names for Jodha, and I tell you Jodha was one of them. So what's the problem if we say it's Jodha? Will the sky crash?
First and foremost they weren't there in that era, so what's the need of protesting, and their is a Disclaimer also running for their Hurt sentiments.
And I recently heard there is some Descendent of Mughals, who approves the name Jodha! Show him to the Rajputs.
And Ekta mam, some people are there who so do these things for publicity too, you can't say! or for Money.
So It is my Sincere and Honest Request, Don't change names, Protesters won't loose anything they will find some new thing to protest on but I am damn sure you will loose many number of Audience, including my friends not me as I can't leave this show[But will not watch Happily and can't enjot it like I used to]
So rethink you decision of changing names, if you are planning to do so! And remember no one was present at that time, so none have the accurate information, byt that way no one can raise a finger too.
