I don't think Akbar will do more than show his power over her. He doesn't want her he wants to punish her for defying him, & holding the sword to his throat and threatening to kill him. He won't do more then scare her and threaten her. This is definitely physical and verbal abuse. Even though we are watching it's important to remember that his behavior is unacceptable...to use his power on someone weaker then him. I hope the cvs show more about their verbal and intelligent bantering rather then physical. Though as emperor and husband men in that time had all the power and were always right. I just wanted to mention the context especially when this behavior is still prevalent today.
