Umm let me see. The episode has not aired yet so we dont know if Jodha has complained to her parents or not. I am guessing she told them she did not want to marry Akbar coz she hates the living day lights out of him. And lets see how you fare if you are being forced to marry someone you absolutely hate. Someone you think is the reason you fiance was murdered. I am thinking that that is reason enough to behave not like a "princess." You cant always behave all princessy...not when your life is going up in flames. Getting married to a man you hate...a man of a different religion is not a small everyday occurrence that Jodha would just calmly, gracefully accept in a princess manner.
Also, we do not know why she burned the shaadi ka joda. I am sure she had a reason. I think Akbar sent her a message which angered her greatly.
Why the heck would you call her dumb? She is not over acting because she wants to stick it to Akbar. She is overacting...going around burning things because she is frustrated. Heck I broke my computer table once because I was really frustrated. Am I dumb too because the table probably didnt care that I broke it.
So much trouble for nothing...okay. As opposed to what just passively accepting something that is being forced on you. I am actually happy that she is fighting...resisting. If she just gave in without a fight I would call her a doormat which is what you would have her be. Being a princess is not all about being a doormat. I agree she might not be acting princess like right now but she's got a reason for it. If she was just throwing a temper tantrum coz daddy didnt buy her her favorite toy then I would get your point.
You may think Jalal did nothing but to her he did a lot. (Btw, the way you write seems as if Jalal is all innocent...dhoodh ka dhula...when he is far from it. He knows she hates him, he doesnt have to marry her but still he is doing it for revenge...which is what Rajat said in the interview.) According to her, he is the man who sent the damn army to take over her Amer...the place she grew up and loved. He secretly entered Amer and humiliated her father and everyone else by fleeing the prisoner from under their noses. She blames him for the mughals who rob their temples because they do it on Jalal's orders. He may not have killed her fiance but he is an enemy to her. An enemy up until a day ago they were fighting with. And now overnight she is just supposed to accept that her enemy is now going to be her husband...that too gracefully. Are you kidding me. I think she is entitled to a little bit of a temper tantrum.
