How romantic..
I wish that Jodha becomes calm and shant...Not always fuming with anger..

As always I love your update , btw , who's going to rise in love first in your story ?
CHAPTER 9: DISCLAIMER: I don't know about this chapter...taking a risk...not much of Jalal in this chapter.
Next Morning:
Jodha wakes up and her dasi comes to get her ready. The Pooja thali is ready and jodha finds contentment in doing her aarti. She hopes that the murti will be ready today for her to place in her mandir. Jodha remembers last nights promise she made to Jalal and starts to smile. "He has no idea what I'm going to do to him. I will make him regret the day he forced me to marry him." Jodha decides to write a letter to one of the princes from a Kingdom near Amer called Ajabghar. In the letter she informs him of her intent to bring about Jalal's death. She writes that she needs a safe place to stay where no one will find her, and bringing jalal to a place of mutual understanding so that they can kill him. She informs him, that her goal is to win his trust so that he gets rid of her personal guard and that he will go away with her alone, without anyone else knowing. Jodha knows that no woman in her right mind would conspire to bring about her husband's death, however; after thinking long and hard she had decided that it was better to be a widow and bring about the destruction of the Mughal Empire than live in the Palace and try to be content with her lot in life. They say in the Hindu religion that a woman's husband is her pati parmeshvar, but Jodha's mind is made up. She has no loyalty to this marriage that was forced upon her, no loyalty to the sindoor that was placed in her mang, and she definitely has no loyalty to the man she calls her pati. Jodha finishes the letter and gives it to her most loyal and devoted Dasi, Motibai, whom she trusts more than anyone else.
She finishes her morning ablutions, and decides to break her fast. She is starving after not eating once she returned to her room last night. Thank god she was able to get away from his rooms without him doing anything. She is just glad to remain pure''there is no way she can stand to be "soiled" by his touch and caress. As she walks out of her apartments she sees Jalal coming towards her.
"Jodha, I'm glad to see you are ready so early. Let us break our fast and then I wish to take you hunting."
"HUNTING!! Absolutely not Shenshah. I do not kill defenceless animals who have done no harm to anyone else. I will not participate in the grotesque act of hunting." She sees Jalal's face and reconsiders'"however, if you wish for my company today, I would be more than happy to go to the market with you, or any other function you may desire."
Jalal considers her refusal to go hunting, never thinking that she would not join him. All woman that he knew of high birth enjoyed the novelty of hunting and were encouraged to partake in the pastime.
"Okay Jodha, we won't go hunting then if that turns you off. Then let us retreat back to my chambers for some alone time shall we?"
Jodha looks at him with disgust, but quickly replaces the look with one of enthusiasm'.."actually''I was thinking, let's play a game of shatrang. I have heard you are very good and wish to test my skills out on you."
Jalal ' "nice diversion my dear Sherni. If Shatrang is what you choose, then please lets go and begin our game. "
And this is how it went'.for a few weeks, Jodha and Jalal spent many many hours in each others company. She was everything he could ask for in his wife. Graceful, respectful, sweet tempered and yet she still showed him her spirit, vivacity for life and occasional fierceness when they would debate about topics. He had no idea what she did with her time when he was off taking care of Siyasat business, but overall he was content with his progress. Maybe she had finaly settled in, maybe she had finally come to peace on her status as his wife and could move on from her hatred'..and yet there was something, a little prick of unease that didn't sit well with Jalal. He didn't know what or where it was coming from, but he knew not to let down his guard with her.
Jodha ' "Please Shenshah, It has been weeks and weeks since I've been here at the palace. I know my way around, I know how to get everywhere, and everyone in the Harem is comfortable with my presence. I'm in no danger inside the Palace, can you please release the guards from my presence. Its stifling and still makes me feel like your prisoner. Have I not tried to behave like a proper wife''
"Jodha" Jalal says interrupting her request to him." I want to know what you think acting like a proper wife is'..because clearly your definition of that phrase means and mine are vastly different."
Jodha is caught off guard by his question. She knows what he is alluding to, but is unsure now how to proceed. She needs to get him to relax the guard around her. She just received word from the Shehzada of Ajhabghar that their plans were all working out well. Everything was going as planned and soon she would see the demise of Jalaluddin Mohammad
Jodha brings herself back to the present conversation. "Please, I just need some more time. I know how grateful I am for the patience that you have shown to me, please just a little bit more and I promise I will come to you of my own free will." Jodha feels slightly guilty for her words, for she knows that this is an empty promise, one that she never plans to fulfill.
Jalal ' "Fine. You are right that there is no threat to you within the Palace. It is my desire though that if you plan on leaving the Palace, you do not do so unless I am with you. Will you follow my orders in this."
Jodha ' "Yes, most definitely yes." Jodha feels the culmination of all of her hard work starting to pay off. Treachery as it is, she feels vindicated in her efforts to bring about the destruction of the Mughals. There can never be love between a Mughal and a Rajput'..
However what Jodha does not know is that Jalal has ordered his most trusted friend to follow her and spy on her for him. He wants her to be happy, but that sensation of unease still has not left him and he wants to confirm to himself that his wife is truly changing.
Another few weeks go by. Jodha is happy that everything is set in place for her to leave the palace once and for all. As the day gets closer she starts to second guess her decision about involving Jalal and leaving him for the Rajputs to take care of. She doesn't want to start a war, but doesn't know what else to do. Then the opening arrives''.
Jalal ' "I know we had plans today Jodha, to go to the bazaar however some important state business has come up and I am unable to accompany you. I don't want to keep you from your pleasures, so I have already instructed a few guards to go with you and take whomever else you please. I will see you for dinner tonight my Sherni.'
Jalal leaves and Jodha realizes this is the first time that she has been outside the Palace without Jalal. This is it'this is her opening to leave him without endangering his life. Although Jodha thought she had no qualms about leaving Jalal to be killed, she is too pure of heart to truly carry out the plan. The Shehzada of Ajhabghar will just have to figure it out himself if he wants to kill jalal. I will not help him, Jodha' thinks to herself.
They leave for the Bazaar, and Jodha takes her dasi Motibai with her. They each have their own horse, and Jodha has a pack for them as well tied down from the saddle. It was pure luck that the guards didn't notice when she tied it to her saddle and never questioned her about it.
Meanwhile, lurking in the background is Jalal's trusted friend, Adham Khan. Little does Jalal know that Adham has been lusting after Jodha since he brought her to the Palace. He despises this Rajkumari whom he has to address as his Malika, but her body, her lips, her eyes, her bosom'..oh the gleam of her skin'.it all makes him go crazy for her.
Adham notices that the guards and Jodha and her Dasi have split and even he, lost in his own thoughts can't seem to locate them with so much traffic in the way. He slowly proceeds through the gathering, trying to locate the two of them''.nothing. He calls out to the guard, "where is your Malika? How did you let her leave your sight? Do you know how the Shenshah will punish you if you lose his wife?"
Adham is furious that two mere girls can slip away without a trace. He splits the guard up, and goes himself in the opposite direction, trying to figure out which direction they could have gone. He must find them, not for Jalal, but for himself. Jodha just gave him the perfect opportunity to hunt her down and do whatever he wanted with her, and then he could discard her like garbage and go back to his shenshah, pretending he never found them. But first, he must inform Jalal of their disappearance. He would find it odd, if he just left to go after them without informing him of this news concerning his wife. No one must suspect Adham's ulterior motives...and with an evil smile he thinks ..." the hunting will begin'''Shikar aur shikari'..who will be the victor?"
