I don't hate protesters. The ability to assemble and peacefully protest is a very important part of democracy. Take the Wall Street protest for example. Without it, we would not be able to protest when the president does something completely against the will of the people. It is important, but in this case I am angry. They were protesting a show and they have a right to do that, but because of them sick people couldn't get to the hospital. Is their protest of a television show more important than sick people??

I don't know how she would just change the names of the characters and their background in the middle of the show. The show has already been going for about a month so how do you change that all of a sudden?

But the thing I don't get is that this show has nothing in common with the movie. And to be honest, the premise of the show is not particularly historical either. And again. If you show a great romance, people are bound to come watch your show. And people may drop it for a period of time because of the name-change, but they will come back to it once the romance track kicks off, and kicks off well. And well. Is it not better to ensure the longevity of the show first and worry about the trps later? Pehle show on air toh rahe, fir viewers aaye na nah uski sochenge. And it will never be a random show. Viewers will never forget that it was based on JA. Ekta can, again, run a picture of the protests on tv, and explain to people why they had to change the name, like she did during the first week of the show.

You can re-record the dialogues. That's one way.

And additionally, she can go tell the protesters about the name and format change, and that the old names will stay only till the first part of their episodes are on-air. From the second part, they can very well start shooting with the new names and plots.

You can never be sure of that. Just like I said, you can never be sure of what people want. It can also be that people will actually like the show more, and stop comparing it to the history. Because as far as I can see, a show getting shut down due to bad trps is a lot better than a show to be forcibly shut. At least we will know that viewers are not enjoying the show, but bowing to pressure of a community and suddenly shutting down of a show is worse. And we cannot live in fear. Every few days protests like these will happen and we will be worried. How long can we carry on like that? At least if gets poor trps, it will get shut down because it couldn't attract viewers, the same thing happens with every show. And even if the premise is changed, it will not be ordinary. Because there is not one love story on tv which feature the story of royal people.

I'd like to say you the same . You can't either say what people want , because you do not know what they want either . 😆 You've not the faintest idea actually .

And as far as I can see , the idea of changing the name n bg of the main leads after 1 month of the show's start is pretty ridiculous , please take no offence .

I'll hate if the show gets shut down because of poor trp n it's getting changed into a lame show with common characters .

Frankly speaking PRC got it's popularity because it showed the epic love story between two very famous historical characters , Prithviraj chauhan n Sanyogita .

But what's the way out then? They protest every other day, and we worry over that? Or, let the show go off-air because people cannot watch the show because of a name-change? And people will watch if a romance is done well. A lot of people are suggesting the same thing actually. We can worry about the trps later, if the show doesn't survive due to this name-issue, what exactly are we going to do with trp? Let the show survive first and worry about trps later. And let me tell you, these people will not stop protesting. It has been going for five freaking months now. And I am quite sure people will not care about the name change if the change is handled well. Jalal will still be this famous random king, juts not mughal, and Jodha will still be this fierce hindu princess, just not Rajput. I honestly don't see any other way out of this never-ending mess. And since, it's hard to change the names in the middle of shooting, Ekta can go up to the leaders and let them know that the part that are already shot will keep the older names, but the later parts will have new names. they can also re-record the dialogues.
