Now I just hope we get to see Jodha saying this to Jalal 😛

Honestly, I too, had no hopes from EK, especially, when a historical show was in question. But seems like she has silenced her critics, and well. I agree with your Rajput wala point. They are looking like a funny lot..not chosen with precision and nothing Rajputana or regal like in them. Only Jodha and Sujamal are upholding the standards in the best possible manner and yes, with time, they are improving as well. That's how an actor should be... growth is very important😊

On the other hand, Mughals are stealing the show and my heart😆 Looks like everyone is motivated by Rajat's portrayal of Akbar! and giving their best, like he is!👏

Yes, EK is not hopeless when you expect her to be.😆...as of now, its interesting and EK is best at portraying politics and playing with relationships. So, it works well in Jalaal's case.😊

Mughals are brilliant here and Rajput casting is very very mediocre.

Yep. Rajputs in that time had a signature arrogance and aura about them. Jodha tries too hard i feel, i mean the actress- but she has an interesting face, so i can still have hopes.😆...I liked what Abdul told Jalaal today - apnon ki saazish ka kya karenge?

Jalaal will first come out of Bairam's claws and then. Maahamanga's. He is just a brave prince as of now - its a long journey to become the greatest Mughal emperor Jalaaludin Mohammad Akbar.😳

I liked that dialogue as well!

Yes, she could tone down a bit. But with time I guess. Rajat was a bit off but managed to catch on really quickly, impressing me.

Mahamanga's son is another interesting character. Both her son and her are ruthless. I wonder is Jalal unaware of the grievances of his people? Or thinks it's right since he does not question those close to him?

Rakiya's dialogue about knowing Mahamanga's weakness, will she act on it?

Rajat has settled into Jalaal very well now - he looks like potential Akbar now. 😃

Chetan Hansraj looks every bit a ruthless Mughal and i like his scene with Mahamanga. I don't think Jalaal is thinking about people's grievances- usske liyye pehloo mein dil chaahiye aur Badshaah ki lagaam usske apne haath mein chaahiye. For now, Jalaal is all about 'fateh'.

Ruqzie is a shrewd woman and when the time is right, she will backstab MA. She should.😆

Lovely post. I completely agree about the Junoon part. You have to understand this is a boy-king, brought up to believe only in power, brought up to believe he has no heart, brought up without any kind of genuine love. Nobody loves him for what he is, but what he can do for them. Everybody wants something from him. This is a boy who doesn't understand love, doesn't believe in it. He only understands a friendly affection, or blind obsession. And what he feels for Jodha is blind obsession. He has to possess the girl who dared to put a sword to his neck. This is only junoon for him. For now. 😉 But I love the complicated portrayal of Jalal. Ekta has outdone herself here. She couldn't have chosen a better Jalal. My heart breaks for this boy-king. And I really like Paridhi as well.
