Not useless and unworthy, but commonplace, I think. You cannot blame him particularly for what was a general attitude among powerful kings in those days.

And in fact even nowadays among powerful tycoons; ; how much do you think the likes of Donald Trump cared about any of his trophy wives? And Jalal did not have to contend with divorce laws and alimony hassles, with each bibi claiming half his kingdom to let go of him!😉

no dont get me wrong shyamala aunty 😳i know the wives were nothing but the winning trophy for the mighty kings like Jalal 😊 m sort of confused how come she would become precious by abduction in tht case she would have passed to king's harem and reduced to the state of concubine...more insulting and demeaning status🤔

and thnks for the comment i m silent stalker of ur post 😳🤗

Now, Arti my dear, that is where Jalal's inbuilt arrogance comes into play. She would become naayab because he himself, the great Shahenshah Jalaluddin Muhammed, would have taken the trouble and run the tremendous risk of abducting her! I believe he thinks she would become puffed up as a consequence!😉

What he wants is for her come to him voluntarily, as part of a bargain to save her Amer from destruction. Then she would have been properly humbled for her having dared to put a sword to his throat - which continues to rankle in his mind, where it struggles with reluctant admiration for so gutsy a woman. It is the latter that will shape their future relationship, plus her realising that he has a soft side as well.

In fact, as I wrote elsewhere, I wish he had tried abducting her! Careening all over the Rajasthan countryside in the dark, trying to control a woman who would all the time have been trying to scratch his eyes out, if not decapitate him with his own khanjar. Nice going!😉

Moreover, she would never have become a concubine, as she was blue-blooded after all. He would have married her, but she would have been one among many, that is all.

But the point is that Jalal has no idea of the tartar he is going to have to cope with, and he will soon learn. I am curious to see how they handle their first confrontation post their marriage. Later, she would not be able to soften him if she does not acquire an emotional hold over him, and we have to see how she does that.

Why, my dear, I am pleased and flattered to know that you read my posts, but why silent? Please do argue as much as you want, and if you are right and I cannot defend my position, I would be the first person to say so!

guys sorry to butt in, so im actually confuse... he wants to marry her or just want to get physical with her... he seems like no intention to marry her...😕

and if as a bargain, it should be king bharmal suggesting jodha as a trade and not Jalal himself. If Jalal himself suggest even for a trade then it does not make sense

Nayaab means something incomparable, thus very rare and precious. Thus, if one gets a very special gift, one would say Nayaab tohfa mila tha.

Ehmiyat
means significance,and thus value.

He means that if he had condescended to kidnap her himself, running such enormous risks, she would have got puffed up as a result! As I wrote elsewhere, I wish he had tried it! He would have had a tartar by the tail, for Jodha would never have wept or pleaded with him; she would have tried to cut his head off with his own khanjar, or at the very least to scratch his eyes out!😉

Ah! Jalal's transition from a haughty, trophy collector to a romantic, sentimental and adorable beau! would be a treat to watch! I just can't wait but good things will come on the right time😉
Then he will understand what naayab actually means 🤣

Riyya dear,

Raja Bharmal would never propose a trade off, think of the betrayal of the Rajput aan, baan and shaan! It would be Jalal who offers to let him have his kingdom intact - they showed it in one of the early promos - and then Bharmal asks Iske badle me kya chahiye? And Jalal replies Jodha.

Don't fret, he always intended to marry her, as she is so blue-blooded, but then he has so many wives, so she would, he must have thought, be one among the many queens in his harem. Of course it did not quite turn out that way!😉
