What, Kamal too! This is getting to be like a delayed birthday present for me!
Thank you so much for your concern, my dear, but I am afraid it is tenacious. But I am sticking to the things you had so kindly recommended, and I hope for the best.
Affectionately,
Shyamala

Oh, he is very passionate, and people can see it through his acting. He potrays every nuances of acting with almost perfection, not trying to bring him down by any means of that 'almost'. Its just that I consider there is nothing in the world which is perfect😛. I've never seen an actor as outstanding as him in the world of television.Btw Aunty you are right he needs to get himself a bit toned up. He seems like a wrestler to me, whenever he is shirtless.😆 No offence to anyone.

You too, Sandhya? Thank you very much, my dear, but how did you land on this now?
Honestly when I saw this post in the front pages of the forum index, I thought it was your new post sans episode number. Only after I read the post, I saw the date and I was really impressed that you sensed his potential so early.
Yes, I saw what Rajat could do right away; it was there in his eyes and his voice, plus he clearly had that one intangible asset: presence. As my mother, who adores him too, says always, he looks every inch a king. We are all lucky to be able to see him daily like this; once he crosses over into films, this luxury will be gone.Of course aunty, he has portrayed Akbar so so well, that for a long time henceforth, we will not be able to accept another actor as young Akbar. (Now when I watch the movie even Hrithik seems to fall short except the KMK dance.) Some actors bring to life some characters so endearingly, that we feel that such perfection was neither attempted before them not achieved later. Like how Jeremy Brett portrayed Sherlock Holmes. And true, we are very lucky and we will lose the luxury when JA is over. Wouldn't it be wonderful that the story continues into Salim-Anarkali and then Shah-Jahan and Mumtaz, with Rajat doing the role of Salim and Shah-Jahan. 😉 I know, I know... this is 'man ki laalsa' yet ...
As for my older posts, I have a partial list, which I will PM you. I have not updated it since end August, and I should, really.
Eagerly waiting aunty and thanks in advance.
Shyamala Aunty
Hi Aunty, delighted to read an old post of yours since I'm relatively new . Since I'm a history buff too, I too liked Rajat as Jalal except for the height . Posting an excerpt from one of my favorite books about Akbar called "Akbar, Emperor of India " by a German Richard Von Garbe . It describes Akbar beautifully on the basis of Akbarnama and Jehangirnama :"Even the external appearance of Akbar appeals to us sympathetically. We sometimes find reproduced a miniature from Delhi which pictures Akbar as seated; in this the characteristic features of the Mongolian race appear softened and refined to a remarkable degree.[B] The shape of the head is rather round, the outlines are softened, the black eyes large, thoughtful, almost dreamy, and only very slightly slanting, the brows full and bushy, the lips somewhat prominent and the nose a tiny bit hooked. The face is beardless except for the rather thin closely cut moustache which falls down over the curve of the"
