Right now, I would call both of soul mate. They both are vindictive, love power and control, and are abs both sharp. Ruqaiya does gloat at the fact that Jalal trusts her the most, and uses it to her full advantage. As Jalal mentioned, they are better as friends than as life partners. They both have deep respect for each no doubt. It just stems from the fact they have known each other as child. Was not Ruqaiya's father the one who took care of Jalal too? I must say the man is smart for choosing a husband for his daughter.😆
While Ruqaiya is his friend, and Salima will later be his consultant too, it will be Jodha who will be his true soul mate. I just love that because I have a thing for soul mates.😳
Really? Ruqaiya's father took care of Jalal when he was little too? Interesting...I wonder if they will show her side of the family much...they are supposed to be first cousins too, right?
Soul-mates are of different kinds, I suppose...Jalal and Ruqaiya are kindered spirits in one manner of speaking...grew up together, share similar personality characteristics...there is admiration there but I honestly don't see much love in that sense from Ruqaiya's side for Jalal either...she also seems more drunk on power than Jalal...or maybe it's just a whole another world with different rules when it comes to "love"...she is the right companion for Jalal among the rest of the hysterical harem women for sure.
As I said once before also...Jodha calls to Jalal on a more elemental level...it's of a different depth that is currently lacking in Jalal's relationship with Ruqaiya...Ruqaiya loves him as friend, husband, Emperor...Jodha has somehow unwittingly managed to connect to the man before all the other titles...lol...and that is the basis that their relationship will grow on in the long run...as the supposedly "heartless" Emperor discovers his own heart after all, much to the shock of all his near and dear ones including Ruqaiya...lol
In that sense, Jodha will be his soul-mate for she will bring out the best in him.
