Akbar wanted to rule over India and he met with a tough resistance from the Rajputs, the Rajputs though were fighting internally within themselves, they were also not ready to accept a foreigner as their ruler.

Akbar knew he will win over the rajputs but will never win over their loyalty and he would simply be loosing his men if rajputs decided to revolt, so he decided to marry a rajput princess, he had done this before marrying princesses to win over land instead of fighting.

The princesses father knew he wont stand a chance against Akbar in a fight so he agreed to the proposal.

Wether the Princess was allowed to remain a hindu and allowed to build a temple in the moghul palace and also the Rajput princess's name was Jodha or was she named Jodha after she married Akbar that is not known.

these was spread by the moghul men in praise of Akbar.

all this was told to me by a guide in chattisgarh fort, he had said that there was no love story of Jodha Akbar and in their history they have no mention of Jodha or any princess marrying Akbar and her being crowned empress.

Neway if we do believe there was a Jodha whom Akbar loved how can she be the Empress as Akbar's first wife will be the empress and Akbar was married even before he came to conquer India.

this controversies shall never find any solution.coz honestly.we werent theer at that time,so we really dont know! and i believe only what i see ;)

so,all im gonna do is enjoy watching the show n not worry about what is true n what is not.

I didnt agree with u as History indicates that Akber has a Rajput wife... but the name there was stated as Hiira Baaii... she was Akbers first wife & mother of next mougal emperor Salim... Akber decided to marry a Rajput Princess to hove a harmonious bond with them...it was a political marriage ...and soon he became successful in his plans...he became able to bring a stable situation and started planning to conquer the south and Bengal.

Whether fictional or real, this is one love story I can watch without the fear that Ekta will separate the love birds. 😡 For once there won't be love triangles/quadrangles and breakups, 18 year leaps with separation between Jodha and Akbar, Jodha and Akbar each marrying 4 or 5 other people without consummating any of those (well Akbar was married multiple times, but in those times that was the norm), Jodha sacrificing her love for some stupid selfish sister, Jodha and Akbar divorcing each other so that he can legitimize his dead brother's kid, Jodha moving to a different city to save Akbar's relation with another person that he himself doesn't care for, etc, etc
There's not much scope for the destructives (a.k.a creatives) to butcher this story.

We know that come what may Jodha and Akbar remain married.😳

Look leave the history Aside and enjoy the show, i whet to a history professor and ask him about this queen jodha and he said there is no mention of her in any of the text or record in the time of Akbar, he also said that even though there is no record of her does not mean she did not exist.

It is a discussion that will last for a lifetime because no one was there, So let us put this aside and enjoy the show.

I must say i am not a fan of Ekta show, they are too slow, but this is an exception it started with a bang and it already has many people hooked.

I almost forgot that there was a movie about this, this is how good the show and the lead actors are. good job.

Akbar didn't come to conquer India. His grand father Babar king of Kabul came here n defeated Ibrahim Lodi at pani pat. Akbar born in India at amar kot Sindh and raised their at Hindu raja court for some time.

Btw this jodha Akbar story, there not super duper love story. it was totally a political marriage with the full agreement of raja bharmal, Amir also supported Akbar n the defeat of other Rajput states. Akbar was not cruel nor saint. Jodha didn't change him, infact Amir won Akbar's trust. man singh was one his trusted general and assist him in the invades of many rajputana territory. in all those states in which their Raja's except Akbar as the supreme head of Hindustan. Akbar let them rule on their states but under his full authority nd rule. Akbar was a good politician and successful ruler. He was also the secular minded and respectd and wantd to know other religions. Mother of jhangir was not his only Hindu rani. He did more political marriages after this. Akbar has also a Hispanic wife

You have nailed it when it comes to Ekta Mata and her previous work with serials.

However, although she may not separate the lovers, she will take as much liberty as she can to butcher characters,bring in anything and everything to bring what she considers a WOH" factor (these Woh factors most of the time only look WOH to her alone) and basically contaminate the a story by drawing extremes with characters in their circumstances.

I don't know why after all these years, Ekta doesn't have the confidence to end a story at the right time, instead of dragging idiotic story lines until it becomes so indigestible,ludicrous etc.

I agree with u dear but let's trust the director with the story I am sure ekta is just the producer at the end of the day we all want same thing Akbar jodha together and thus will happen ( fingers crossed)
