PS, I am no longer thinking about Akbar as a Historical figure (nor the concept as belogning to history) because I know they'll be so many debates on whether or not what happened with him, happened. I'm just going to think of this show as Ekta's story, and that's it. No offence to any of you who are strong historians on the Mughal empire, I just don't want any unnecessary debates, especially as we know this is Ekta Kapoor and she will do things to attract audiences. 🤔

This episode was definetely an eye opener into the characters of Jodha & Akbar. And plus, the dynamics between Jodha and Akbar and their followers are being played really well. Although I thought the whole shoe stealing scene(s) was a little silly, but if we look beyond that, it's basically Akbar not willing to spare ANYONE who takes his things without permission. And then on the other hand, there's Jodha who vows to get revenge for what happened to Moti Bai, and that means her leading to Akbar, which coincides with the whole Akbar 'I-don't-let-anyone-challenge-me' plot.
And I'm really warming up to Rajat (not because of his seeexy voice because well, 😆) because damn, that dude can act! In that whole scene he portrayed Akbar as someone who doesn't go overboard with his anger, but represses it? That sort of gives an eerie sort of aura to his character, that you can't help but love (well actually I quite dislike Akbar but hey, it's Rajat - how can you not?!)
And DUDE, just look at that epic smirk!

But I have to say, this episode totally belonged to Paridhi! I thought she looked like Jodha but now believe she can play Jodha with finesse. I have to say hats off to her body language, she looks graceful but the way she stands, is almost like... a warrior. 😛 SEE, now I really want to see her pick up a sword and BAM! Ekta, make this wish come true, please? 😳 To me, it's like she's the feminist at the Mughal times? (No idea what era this is, LOL haaha) - love how Jodha says that women can also do what men do (okay, I paraphrased this because I totally forgot what she said, but oh well) 😆
PS can someone please tell me what "moti bai" means? Like is it a sister or?
