all amey said was that itz fair for himani to go, cuz she has been here longer and i have, and everyone wishes to go there, so itz any1's call....why wud toshi object to this???

we ARE talking about the performance cuz thats why this whole thing happenddd.

toshi was MAD because he thought they shouldve atleast gotten 1 vote and he expressed his angerr.
it was a wrong way but he has the right to be mad.

and toshi didnt cut amey off to personally attack him but because he didnt agree to what he was saying.

Couldn't go through the 10 pages... But here is what I thought...

Though I like Toshi... I thought he was way out of line to cut Amey out because according to me Toshi's performance was a safe performance...it wasnt wow or splendid performance like he has previously given.(It was entertaining but singing wise it was 😕)..so him being upset on the basis on performance was not justified.😕.. Infact Amey should have been because that was the best performance of the day... However knowing how Amey was during his elimination in II2 ... He would never play the diplomacy game... What he said made sense and it takes alot for a person to say what he was trying to convey(Tht Himani might have deserved it more ) because when you know that the following week there will be only one challenger moving on to the champs... and you are pitted against 2 more challengers...So any wildcard contestant would be defensive and say that he should have been there since he got a 30 on 30... However Amey didnt... He knew there is 1 out 3 chances on him making it to champs he still supported the idea of Himani making it to Champs...

It was wrong on Toshi's behalf to vent out the champs anger on Amey... I am fan of both of them but what is wrong ... is wrong ... It wont make it right even if its your favorite contestant... There might be reasons for him reacting in such manner... However like srk_ L said... any musician isnt adored just by their singing... but its their attitude towards others/ their down to earth nature... that makes them one of the best singers😊

Inspite of longing for fame, I have not seen Toshi manipulating music, which is a wonderful quality in a person. Integrity was plundered by champs when they chose politics over music. Politics and strategising comes into play only when you yourself accept the fact that your talent alone is not strong enough to win it for you.

Yes the champions with exception of Abhijit Sawant are all inferior to Toshi when it comes to range and knowledge of music and usage of it. Only thing they are better at is reproducing existing music. As long as talent is judged based on how good the reproduction is, we will always slight the original singers like Toshi. If you watched Rahat Fateh Ali Khan on Yeh Sham Mastani on Soni you must have noticed how his own songs that he has sung for the indian movies, he sang in a very different way. I am sure if he was being judged for a reality show he would be told "maza nahi aaya!"

Abt integrity I agree with you ...

But again on the 2nd para, this competition is not to judge who has a better range or understanding of music and who puts it to better use ... yes whether we like it or not this is to judge how well a person reproduces existing music that too well known ... am sure u know what happ when harshit sang supposedly unknown songs ... so yes this is not abt making ur own songs but abt singing existing songs well enuff and again whether we like it or not most on the champ side, himani included, are doing it better than toshi !!

I thought the topic was about Toshi's "problem", as that is what the thread title says? And as I've said, the problem was that perhaps he felt insulted that no-one thought of even giving him one vote.

Singers go on stage, give it their best. When you're given a standing ovation you're hopeful of getting some respect for the work you've done. Same thing when you've got the whole studio rocking with you.

But then, surprise! No one even gave you a single vote. That's the kind of a thing that gets on your nerves.

Plus its not the first time it's happened, so I guess its something on his mind for a long time.

I'm sure if it wasn't the heat of the moment he wudn't have cut Amey off like that. He wasn't even being angry at him or something, I guess he was trying to tell him that he can actually express his feelings clearly and not cover it up with niceties.

Amey's new to this stage, so its understandable he doesn't feel as bad as Toshi does 😳 I guess he really thought Himani deserves it more than he does, as he said "Ek contestant kaafi dino se mehnat...", signalling she was longer here than him. Well, thats Toshi too 😛 and the little mixup with Himani and the Champs didn't help him feel any better either 😛

Bang on target, Kirti! This is how contestants are getting judged - how well they reproduce already existing, and most of the times well known, numbers. I agree with you that Toshi has not been able to do justice to his chosen songs like most others on this show so far. I feel he is still struggling to find his foot on this show.

This week, I feel Amey deserved to go over to the champs side more than Himani if we keep in mind only Friday's performance. Amey has not been around that long...not his fault though but still Himani has been giving fairly consistent performances throughout except for her performance as a champ. I feel all that dramabazi affected her singing during sufi round. Despite all the games champs and Himani played and the timing of her crossing over to the other side, Himani certainly deserved to be on champions' side far more than Toshi did.

Out of Amey, Rex and Toshi, I feel Amey is better than Toshi. Let us see what happens next week😊

I feel all these "episodes" of drama, anger, crying besides singing are just publicity stunts. They want to attract viewers in every possible way and are just trying to put some masala in the program. Sometimes everything looks very artificial and you can sense the whole thing is staged.

first of all most of the contestants on the champions sidee are tottalyy out of place and DONT deserve to be on that sidee.
andd second toshi does MUCH better than most of em.

ESPECIALLY himani,
i mean its so clear,

even the judges know that.
andd like msti said Toshi wasnt Personally saying anything to amey he has nothing against him and we're exxagerating a little too much about this whole mater.
i mean when vineet or any other contestant does somethin disrespectful or when himani says she's the only one with a clean heart we dont make a big deal out of it so why toshi when he does something not as bad?

why do we attack him on somethin like that when other contestants get away with everything??

Agree completely with you on all the above points Di! Based solely on Friday perf Amey was the best followed by Himani and then Toshi ... and yup i too will choose Amey over Toshi any day ... i guess both will go ahead to the champ side ... waiting for some spoilers 😛

I remember the II scene when Ameya was eliminated, he was busy keeping peace rather than dealing with his elimination. Some people are like that, they distract themselves from the injustice because they do not have the courage to speak out against it.

Toshi is a trained classical singer, the judges on this show are not judging the singing alone, they are also looking at the vote banks, they have over rated the champions and underrated the challengers big time.I don't like this show and I don't like the fact that singers like Toshi and Ameya have to do the "pick me pick me" to inferior and unjust competitors in order to prove their metal. Indian public is not ready for original singers like Toshi. They can only understand copied renditions and mediocrity.

I wish Toshi the very best in life!

Very well said..👏 @ the bolded part -- So what do Toshi haters have to say to contradict this possibility?

I wish Toshi all the luck too..God bless him..
